HMC Westeinde

I would like to thank all staffs in Mother and Child Center that provided me the superb service for my baby’s delivery and neonatal care. I am satisfied with the facilities to support the recovery between baby and mom in medical needs. The nurses were also attentive not only for me and my baby, but also my partner. In addition, as an expat, I appreciate that most of staffs are willing to speak to english and really open if you have any questions. If you do not understand a certain decision they took for you, as long as we kindly ask for the reasoning, so far they provided sufficient explanation (based on my experience at mother & child center)

The doctors and nurses at the delivery ward of Westeinde made the birth of our daughter a wonderful experience. I am so thankful for their professionalism and friendly care that was given to the baby and our family. I felt fully supported the whole time and also my wishes regarding pain relief were listened to. It was the best hospital to be also right after the birth.

I was so worried because no GP nearby accept me so I decided to visit the emergency department. I went there at 10am and finished all the treatments at 2pm. I think the waiting time is reasonable. Firstly there is nurse to do checking, and doctor will consult you. They are very patient and communicate with good English. I recommend expats with urgent needs can go if you have insurance covered. Keep in mind you have to pay the ‘expensive’ medication fee yourself.

(Vegetable soup from the hospital canteen is lekker.)

The Mother & Child center is great! I delivered my baby in HMC Westeinde and I can say that the quality of the care was above expectations and the facilities were very nice. Thank you to the full team for everything they did for us and the baby!

They were professionals, polite all the staff.They book immediately an appointment for me.
I didn't feel any unnecessary pain or discomfort visiting the dentist (Dimitrie) for my issue.

Very helpful and professional medical and non-medical staff in the mother and child department. Once we figured out how to deal with non-Dutch insurances all went smoothly.

My wife delivered our baby girl here.

I was brought here by ambulance recently. I received the absolute best care. The nurses, doctors and staff were kind, professional and ethical. If I ever need urgent care again, I will choose this hospital always. Thank you so much guys! You're the best in my book! 🙂

Very kind nurses and the doctor was super kind to you can charge your phone when you’re waiting we waited only 20 minutes so the waiting time was extremely short

Yesterday around noon I came because of severe pain in stomach which was unbearable. I got immediate appointment at the emergency GP(Huisarts) & there was suspicion that it could be appendicitis.

The next round of tests were done quickly and after almost an hour the confirmation came that it was indeed appendicitis and
the operation had to be performed the same day. We were briefed by the surgeon and by 7pm I was in operation theater. The after care was great too.

I will be discharged today!! I would like to personally thank each and every staff member, the doctors and surgeons in making things so smooth in this emergency situation!! A BIG thank you!!!

I find the amount of reviews that are so negative here quite bewildering to be honest. A hospital isn't a hotel for a start, so you can't really just expect it to be exactly what you want and it is also The Netherlands, people speak a lot of English here be to critique the establishment because not everyone speak perfect English seems absurd. I live here so I try to speak some Dutch and despite a few moments of confusion, everything worked out just fine.

Anyway, I had to stay here for the last week for medial reasons and I found the staff to all be incredibly kind and hardworking people. I cannot honestly lay a single fault on the care I received. I felt both listened to and well looked after, which immeasurably helped my peace of mind in quite at quite a horrible point in time.

So many thanks and I wish all the staff the best and hope that anyone else who may find themselves there also gets the same quality of care that I did.

My son broke his wrist while he was ice skating in Scheveningen and we went to the first aid. Doctors and nurses were very professional, qualified and nice. Thank you all for your excellent work.

Doctor Verhagen (surgeon) is the top specialist. The anesthesist team is excellent as well.
An Emergency reception team needs some improvement though

We had several visits and 95% was informative and helpfull
The only issue is the parking prices
I hope they develop more

fantastic experience at the emergency tandards at HMC Westeinde. Very gentle, very professional - just what you want when you have a broken tooth!!

I was terrified because I knew I had to get my tooth pulled but Dimitrie and his assistant were sooo amazing they made me feel so comfortable and got the jib done quickly.

We came here at 10pm for my kid's eye issue and nurse and doctor assistant were very helpful. Doctor was amazing and kind. We're glad we came here.
