El Ternero

Lovely little restaurant. The ordered steak was very tender and properly cooked. Overall the prices here are average, if not slightly above. The atmosphere is quite nice with the woodwork and large picture of the once wooden bull of Amersfoort.

The food was good, especially the meat. Could have done a little better on the garnish / side salads but overall we had a nice experience. Staff were pleasant and the service was pretty good, so we would go there again.

My GF had the lomo and it was perfect. Soft, juicy and great taste.
I had the spareribs. Taste was very good, but a bit cold. The chef asked how everything was and I told him about the temperature. He ran to the grill to come back in 10 minutes with a new plate. This time very hot and excellent marinated.
This is what gastromy should be about. Thank you for the great experience. We will definitely come back!

El Ternero specializes in good beef, and it really is good! Some of the best meat I've had in a long time. The waiters were very kind and professional, and also the chef came to ask if everything was as it should be.
A very good experience, highly recommended!

This food was absolutely amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly. The wait staff are awesome and super friendly, and the chef checks on you personally to ensure you are enjoying the food. All in all, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

The best steaks in town - with authentic grilled steaks and excellent side dishes, this is the place to be if you like your steaks the Argentine way. The owners have changed but the chef is still the same great guy! The even play the occasional tango over the sound system (when they're not playing the Gipsy Kings).

Also a nice selection of side dishes, and some great desserts. Outdoor seating is limited but the whole front opens up during summer so even when you're sitting in the back, you'll still get some fresh air. Unfortunately, this also means if people start to smoke outside, you'll be enjoying the second hand smoke inside as well.

Where do I start! The service was exceptional. They even accommodated me in speaking English. Everything from the hot bread with garlic butter, the beef tenderloin melted like butter and was absolutely lekker and the apple crumble was nothing short of perfection. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Thank you to the chef and servers who made this a memorable dinner for my husband and I. If only they had a restaurant on the west coast of Canada. We would be there weekly. Muchas gracias

I've never tasted such succulent tender steak as at El Ternero. Recommend you should try them at least twice.
