What an extraordinary out of the ordinary place in the center of town! On a Sunny day there is no better place to eat or drink in Alkmaar. The food and drinks are fine but what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere they've created.

Great hidden gem. Nice to spend time on their “beach” on a sunny day. Lots of character and interesting decor. Family friendly as well. Good cocktails and food.

This is the place to be on a nice, warm sunny day in Alkmaar. While you lean back in your beachchair ('Life is a beach' is one of its motto's), you can enjoy the view of the canal and boats passing by. They serve some special beers here, you can maybe even get a cocktail or order some food. And on a weekend you might even stumble into a small concert or special event. This place was founded by Michael Francis Cobblestone (1985-2016), originally from New-Zealand, who is greatly missed by all who knew him.

Brilliant spot, has delicious pizza and there's a great atmosphere amongst the staff and customers alike. Really facilitating to English speakers and their Flamingo Bingo is great fun too!

This "constructed community beach cafe" in the middle of Alkmaar is a great place to grab a few beers, or organize a BBQ with friends. You can enjoy their selection of burgers, wraps and pizzas, but bringing the food you love for the BBQ with you is also allowed.

A very chill vibe. A little piece of summer & beach in the city, one of my favorite spots! Do check out their program as well, they have music or games from time to time.

The food is extremely good here and it's super affordable. Their menu is all I could ask for and more! I will definitely be coming back here~
