Albert Heijn XL

Fantastic supermarket. Super clean and unusually spacious. Amazing range of excellent quality products including fruit and vegetables, pantry items, ready-made meals, drinks, snacks, cleaners etc etc. Reasonable prices. Gigantic supermarket experience. Great vibe. Highly recommended. Largest self-checkout area i've ever seen.

Be warned, they dont take Mastercard, Visa card and maybe some other cards, but there is an ATM right outside the cashiers area. You need to queue at a special register to pay cash.

Free parking for the first 2 hours and a nice variety of products, Appie is always the best place for groceries

Top notch service and a huuuge store. I haven’t seen an AH that feels like a nice SuperWalmart in the US (in a sort of good way). You can pick up orders here and there are an Etos and Gall & Gall, and parking. Kind of like the AH by the Dam Square, but with parking.

This is the absolute go to store if you have to go grocery shopping. Items are (almost) always in stock, and most importantly handled with care.

Items are priced to meet the needs of many, but you be the judge of that yourself.

The store has a healthy balance of staffing, and it's staffing represents a wide age range, a true asset for the community.

Always a parking space (free parking first 2 hours!), and one of the best availability hours for the customers.

This is obviously one of the best AH's around as it definitely lives up to it's XL image! Plus you have a Gall & Gall and Etos in there. So literally a one stop shop for all your needs. Please be warned though if you are like me and don't like crowds, weekends might not be the best time to visit ( Also because a lot of the stock will run out faster).

Absolutely great selection.

This is the bigger Albert Heijn super store in the neighbourhood where you can find almost anything from kitchenware to vegetables, fruits and cereal etc. The variety is very good and one can choose from plenty of available items. The variety of cheese and other dairy items is also very good. Almost everything under one floor.

Quite a variety of grocery choices and large collection. Customer service is warm and pleasant. If you have a bonus card (AH bonus kart) use it for quick checkout using the scanner machines. Quite a handy one to checkout during rush hours and in avoiding long queues.

Love it! Very large supermarket with an asian, halal and sushi department as well to fulfill you in all your needs for groceries. There is the ability to scan your groceries as you fill your cart and skip the line and pay at a self service cashier, very handy... use it all the time... saves me time...

Very good facility. True comfort, super tidy, well maintained, gives a home feeling. Marvellous. Great service by the reception. Loved that place. TV sets both in the kitchen and bedroom. Luxury bathroom. All needed kitchenware. The best apartment I've got so far. Bravo! Will come back for sure if there is a chance to visit the Hague.

Great supermarket. Has EVERYTHING. Prices are very reasonable, especially if you're a member. Don't shop hungry 😉

My favourite supermarket in the Hague. It is massive (for Dutch standards) and stocks everything I can think of. Mark Rutte, the Dutch prime minister, shops here as well…

Best Albert Hein in the Hague in my opinion. Large selection and we'll set out. Plenty of parking for less than 4 hours and right under a 24 hour gym. The location is great for entree and exit with two access points.

Massive grocery store (ah XL). You can find there almost anything the ah sells. Perfect if you have a big and specific grocery shopping list. Bigger isn't always better but for groceries I'd say the more choice you have the better.

The XL does this Albert Heijn justice. If you can't find something here, you might be too picky.

Shelves are restocked regularly throughout the day.

Did I mention the 2 hours of free parking and that it stays open 'til late?

Easy to go with the car. Always a place to park. Bring your old glass and clothing and dispose them here. One of the largest supermarkets near the City centre, loads of choice, also a special international selection
