We really enjoyed our time at The Waag. It is a beautiful historic building with lots of original features still in place. The service was quick and friendly, the food was tasty and hot and the atmosphere was happy. All in all a great way to meet and catch up with friends.

Great location, really nice building with plenty of effort put into decorating well.
We were in the large room at the back of the restaurant where the kitchen is, incredible ceiling and wall of beautiful plants.
I ordered the vegan red carrot burger which was, without hyperbole, one of the tastiest and juiciest veggie burgers I have ever eaten, such an original combination of flavours whilst still tasting just like you hope a veggie burger would taste.
It was a very busy evening but the staff were well organised and friendly and we had a great evening.

Waag restaurant in Leiden exceeded all my expectations.

Nice experience at the terrace, being the first clients of the year 😄 We had two cappuccinos and an apple pie. It was delicious. The waitress was really profesional and efficient.

Great food, good prices. We recommend the falafel salad, the burger, and the salmon.

Spacious restaurant in the heart of Leiden. Food is really delicious and you have enough space when seating at the tables. Service was quick and polite. Recommending BBQ burger and soup of the day.

I love the environment, the food menu is not extensive but all quality offering and the interior design is really great. All in all, a great place to meet up with friends, in summer and winter.

This is a busy, but very well presented bar/restaurant. We stopped here for a drink and a small bite to eat. WAAG did not disappoint.
I haven't had a croquet monsieur in years. I recomend this snack.
The only negative from our time here was the service for the bill was a bit slow. We are on holiday, so not rushing about anyway.

The atmosphere is fascinating, we went twice in 3 days, once for lunch once for dinner. We left happy every time. Foods and drinks were very nice.

Very good place to take family and friends. The food and the attention are good.
From a tourist pov this is a very interesting building too because of its historical value also. If you ask about it the personal will kindly explain it.
And of course if you are looking for a real Dutch experience in the summer, ask for some biertjes at their terras.
