Hotel Restaurant Grandcafe 't Voorhuys

An excellent, clean and friendly hotel placed in the middle of town with easy access to the bus station 200m away and the shops. My room was spacious, light and clean, everything I needed for a 2 night stay. The staff were fantastic and spoke very good English! I was visiting from England to see an old backpacking friend who lives in town, this hotel was the perfect base and I would 100% recommend to others!

Excellent room! The bed was unbelievably comfortable! I was extremely happy with the breakfast as well! I will definately be booking here next year when I'm in town for the BBQ Contest again! Almost everything you need is with in walking distance.

We went to the restaurant only. The service was excellent. They gave me a dog bowl with water for my dog. The kids got colouring pencils and a picture to colour. The food was great... most of all the staff were fantastic.

The place is located in "the heart" of the town, close to a lot of shops and also close to the bus station.
The restaurant is open until midnight so you can have a meal even if you arrive late in the evening, or you can chill out at a drink.
The staff is very kind.

On my way from Almere to Heerenveen always a great stop when I’m on my way on my circle or motorcycle. Special mention “the apple kanjer”

Very clean room and bathroom. Good location in the center of the city but the only annoying thing that that the rooms are not isolated , you can here the other rooms in the early morning but in general very recommended.

The hotel is conveniently located, very clean and the the new rooms are really nice, spacious and comfortable. The staff helpful, friendly, swift and efficient.
Breakfast is available at 6am, which is a massive help for a working guy.
The restaurant is good, though the card is a bit small, but food is tasty , and served really quick. Staff is very attentive. Overall well worth to stay there and it was my 10th (at least) visit in the recent years. Thanks!

Restaurant Review

Second time to eat dinner at Voorhuys Restaurant Emmeloord. Service is excellent, food is amazing and the place is well and neat. We ate outside the first time and the second time we ate inside. We were attended well (by Tim) and we did enjoyed the visit. A must dinner location most specially to those who want an excellent atmosphere in the middle of a city center.

I stayed here for two weeks while working away from my home in the USA. To say they made me feel welcome and provided a home away from home is an understatement. They are in the business of quality, from their property and staff to their attention to detail in cuisine and beer. Loved my stay and appreciated the people. Won’t forget you all!

Very clean and nice looking hotel

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but had lunch in the cafe. It was a wonderful experience with delicious food, nice staff and a cozy atmosphere. Vegetarian and vegan friendly!

Nice Hotel. Friendly staff. Very professional. The rooms in the new wing are ver good and moder, the ones in the old wing still ok. The usually crowded and good restaurant is closed due to Covid, but excellent room service. I always enjoy staying there.
