Fries Museum

Very,very nice.I am fascinated.

We went to go see an exhibition on the Frisian people in the middle ages.

A marvelous collection of things related to the era and very interesting and on top of that real interactive..

Definitely worth going to..

this is the place to start to learn something about the mystical province of friesland. really diverse exhibitions with a lot of cool stuff, also audioguide (also in german and english)

Really nice museum about the culture and history of Friesland, however, a number of items in the museum are labeled only in Frisian and Dutch but no English. So you might want to download those language translations into your phone and keep it handy as you browse.

A great museums to learn about Frisian history. Museum is full of historical and cultural artifacts of Friesland. Museum interiors are artistic and too modern.

in love with Leeuwarden a little too much and so we had another little wander in the morning before leaving. The streets are all so pretty and smooth, I love it here. I ended up buying myself a pair of felt clog slippers with the Friesland pattern on, and I absolutely love them.

A great museum to visit with your family. A magnificent building with beautiful expositions. The tea bar was good and the people in the museum were great and fun.

This place was much bigger than I expected and offered a wide variety of cultural information and art exibitions.

The venue was impressive and very accessibly. Accessibility was especially important since we visited with my 83 year old mother, there were no issues getting around.

Friendly staff and a very professional and pleasant atmosphere in general.

Always a great place to visit. Currently (December 2019) there is a Viking exhibition that is super. It shows how the history of the Vikings is interwoven with Frisian history.

I went there in 1984 in late July. Beautiful museum about the Friesland museum. It was a great place as I walked in the museum and the surrounding area.

Very interesting art. These pictures are from the upper level of The Frisian Museum, there is usually a theme with art this one was about different things, it went from social media to underwater.

Superb architecture with very well curated exhibition about Friseland.

An impressive building and an even more impressive Presentation of friesische History. English and German speakers are welll supported though some exhibits are only in friesisch or dutch. Allow about 3 hours to avoid rushing

Cool museum about the cultural history of the province of Fryslân. The descriptions next tothe exhibits are in Frisian/Dutch, so most of the times you may need a info card that is found in the room to learn more.
