Ramen Nikkou

Hands down some of the best ramen I've had. If you're in Delft and you're in need of some comfort food, go here! The ramen was so flavourful and tasty. The restaurant is quite small so be prepared to wait outside in line for a bit if you're planning on going during peak hours. But, it's more of an in-and-out type of restaurant so the line moved quite quickly. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick. Ramen Nikkou is definitely worth a visit!

Ramen Nikkou is a small ramen shop tucked away between houses. Run by staff from Japanese origin, it has an open kitchen with counter seating and two small tables for 2-3 persons. The interior is simple with minimal decorations.

Arriving in the late afternoon on a Saturday, we had to wait 45 minutes before we could enter.
We were seated at the table in front of the entrance/exit so unfortunately we were periodically greeted by cold breezes when people exited or entered. But that didn't spoil our mood or appetite :).

We ordered a portion of shumai, a big shoyu ramen and a toripaita ramen (chicken broth base topped with chicken fillet instead of cha siu), and marinated eggs as extra topping for both ramen.

The shumai was very tasty and definitely homemade with minced meat, onion and ginger as filling.
The toripaita ramen broth was indeed very creamy and flavorful. Together with the perfectly cooked noodles (we like them chewy), the ramen was amazing.
The shoyu ramen was delicious as well.

We are definitely coming back to try the other ramen.

Waited an hour before being able to be seated but the wait was absolutely worth it. Hospitality was great (even making suggestions for drinks and food), seating was pretty cozy (might not be your thing to be seated at a bar but it is a delightful experience). And the food, the food is simple and extremely well done. Clean flavors, good seasonal selection.

Shoyu ramen has an incredible depth and bite, noodles are perfectly cooked but could use some more toppings without having to necessarily pay for those separately.

The chicken ramen was an unexpected and delightful surprise. Fresh and light with yuzu flavour. The flavour developed in the broth was outstanding.

Don’t miss out on side dishes either! The rice is well done and balances out the perfectly seasoned pork pieces. The chicken had a fantastic sauce combi with green onions that makes a perfect entrance.

Overall, this restaurant is worth the wait and worth all the good reviews it receives.

The ramen soup was awesome. Very creamy. The noodles were also good. The place is very small so you may need to wait for a while, but definitely worth it.

Excellent Ramen in Delft. I had the spicy shoyu ramen while my wife chose the vegetarian ramen. We shared the steamed dumplings as well. I believe that my ramen had a bit more flavor but both were excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a good bowl of tasty ramen.

It was a long queue and super small place. I would recommend going there alone. The food is nice and made by Japanese cook. If you go with friends you want to wait outside ben it’s raining due to very small shop. I had good time with friends but would definitely go alone next time because it’s easier to find a spot to sit.

I always come here and it never disappoints. For me, the best ramen in NL. I also love the side dish Banbanjl (chicken), it melts in your mouth. Can’t wait to go back again!

A small but cozy place. Really authentic and delicious ramen. The broth was rich and the noodles chewy. Also they give half portion noodles for free! Prices are also very reasonable. Be prepared to wait in line!

the Tonkotsu broth was amazing! such a nice soup to drink and the ramen is more of the thin noodle variant. You get lean cuts of meat instead of fatty parts...which in general i like more instead of only eating fat...lean meats have body and you can just chew on it instead of melting in your mouth.
it's a personal preference but I really like that chewiness ;-)
one thing that i noticed we didn't get any seaweed and no egg (not sure if that was included or not) but it was okay because i'd rather eat Gyoza and Kara-age instead of an egg :')

But GET THEM side dishes yo! the gyoza meat definitely had good flavour (bit of salt but not too overpowering) if you add some of the oil sauce (not sure what it was but it makes the gyoza a bit more salty...maybe miso ish flavour? which I like a lot!) it definitely gets you PUMPED up for the ramen so it's a good appetizer before you eat ramen.

the Kara-age was tasty as well (not the best i've eaten but still passable). I believe they air-fry these chicken? i didn't saw them frying them in a pan or something...but it still tasted good so no complaints about that.

there is no reservation system here so it's first come first serve. we went here on a thursday so the waiting line was around 20 minutes...it's not so bad...not sure if It's a good idea to come here during the weekends...probably be hardcore full around 18:00 so my tip would be come here 17:00 on the spot if you hate waiting (that's the time when they open up) so safe yourself some frustration and come early ;-)

Very cozy place. Ramen is amazballs. Side dishes are definitely worth a try.

The broth of the dipping noodles was rich and flavorful. The portions are really decent, unfortunately I couldn’t finish it all but they have containers if you want to bring your leftovers home. The additional ramen egg is recommended! The siu mai was nice and gingerly and different from the chinese siu mai.

Best place to get creamy chicken ramen!! I have been to many ramen places and this place have the best chicken ramen you cannot find at any other place.

10/10 food. We had spicy miso ramen and it was so so good. Cannot recommend enough. Come early to avoid queues.

YUM!! We had to cue for a bit, but well worth the wait. Noodles here are crazy, and only get better whilst you re eating. MUST GO

Ramen in this place is the best. Loved it. Nice, small place and on the entrance You will smell how good it is. More than good. It is good for vegeterians and meat lovers. The service is quick and very good. The place is small but if You wait just a little You will get your place. Or make a reservation.

I find this place by an accident while i was lost in Delft but i am greatful for it😂. A great place to enjoy a hot ramen together with some onigiri and dumplings. The staff there is polite and they had the kindness to explained the menu in english with a lot of details.The only "negative" i could say is that you need check when is open and they can only dine-in around 15 people. The prices are ok, great and clean restaurant i will surely visit it again especially now that the days are getting colder.

This is THE place to get great noodles. You will always compare the next noodle place to this one and you will always think Nikkou was the Best you had.
