In a library, this cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. We, as Indians, were surprised to find Darjeeling Tea, the finest Indian tea, on their menu in Gouda. We tried it and liked it a lot. The coffee and sweets were good too, and we loved the Coconut Cherry pastry. The atmosphere and service were also nice. I recommend this place.

Genius idea to have a nice restaurant (and gift shop!) inside the library. The staff is just splendid - very professional, very friendly, very courteous - and the hot chocolate is worth a visit all on its own. We’ve started coming here with our toddler so that one of us can work on the first floor of the library while the other takes her to play and read in the kid’s section. The Duplo wall and cozy, varied sitting places make for an inviting extended reading nook. A nice sit-down lunch or dinner together afterwards is just perfect. Worth the visit!

Cosy cafe located within a library. Enjoyed the cheese pie/quiche and the tomato soup!!! it was like freshly blended tomatoes :) We ate and left no crumbs.

Staff is friendly and have badges on their uniforms indicating what language they speak. This was really helpful as we are not from the Netherlands and don’t speak Dutch.

Saw they provided colour pencils for the colouring sheet table mat which might be nice if you have kids. There are power sockets hanging down from the ceiling for people who need to get some work done.

As cafe is located in the library, you need to pay to visit the toilet.

Very open and inviting space. I got a ice coffee and a sandwich and love it. Service was fast and friendly. And for those reviews that say otherwise, you can literally scan the QR code on your table and order yourself if you’re that impatient. There’s a nice terrace outside as well as a lounge inside to sit and read.

The ultimate seduction is a drink made with coffee, white chocolate syrup, white chocolate chunks and strawberry syrup and jams. These flavors combined make a lovely drink. It's served as a frappe and i really recommend to add whipped cream since this really adds a nice touch to the flavors.
It's a great summer drink to cool off.

This place is an integrated library and cafe/ restaurant, with a radio station(ed) inside (perhaps GoudaFM). Space to study upstairs.

decent coffee and light food selection. Try their Gouda sandwich (because you're in Gouda). fast and friendly service. not in the city center but definitely worth dropping by.

The sweet and savory high tea is an amazing deal for the amount and quality you receive! Highly recommended

Great place right next to the city center of Gouda. Easy to get to by public transport and car.

The restaurant is housed inside Gouda's public library. It's a very open and bright space. Lots of fun activities for kids to do as well. The menu offers a lot of variety and prices are fair. Also plenty of tables of available with electric plugs, so bring you laptop if you feel like it :-)

I had a iced coffee here today with friends and it was delicious! The staff was kind, fast and knowledgeable when it came to questions about allergens!

Absolutely love the fact that the restaurant is so well planned and executed. The staff is sweet. The restaurant gives a student-ie effect with a Library on board. One can scan the QR code to translate the menu for convenience. The menu is very well explained, with relevant extras and options clearly mentioned. We ordered - Vanilla goes nuts, cream brulee latte and a flat white for drinks. Coffee (flat white was very delicious 😋. The créam brulee was described as yummy, tasted like rich and creamy cream brulee. And my drink- vanilla goes nuts was a combination of hazelnut heaven and vanilla latte, and I would describe my drink as HEAVEN.
Moving to the food part. We ordered, warm sandwiches. Goat cheese with honey and serrano ham, avocado and egg sandwich and a baffello cheese with pesto on a sourdough bread + cheesecake quiche. It was an absolute decadent meal. The sandwiches came with juicy fresh salad.They have a vast choice of lunch, alcoholic drinks too.

Nice, pleasant restaurant, inside beautiful library in Gouda. The building was once a rather large chocolate factory. Located by two beautiful canals, at walking distance from Gouda's amazingly beautiful and cozy historic old center. On Wednesdays activities at first floor in open, old stile printshop.

I like the atmosphere here very much. It is creative, warm, calm. People working here are friendly, smiling. Coffee and chocolate taste delicious.

Friendly and quick service. Delicious cakes and other baked goods. I've never ordered food other than the baked goods, so I dont know if they are good too.
