IJsselhuis Museumhavencafé

Definitely one of my favourite places in Gouda. Excellent place to sit outside in the warmer months. Great spot to watch the sunset and the boats coming through the lock. They have a really good range of local beers. 100% recommend.

A little bit out of the way, tucked away near the old historic docks of Gouda, het IJsselhuis is a picturesque little café with amazing varying foods. The (vegan) options are awesome and the price is great. The service is also as good as you get in Gouda as is the atmosphere.

An amazing little piece of Goudas' history you can actually use as if you are part of it. Very lovely people and awesome menu.

Small cafe that serves local food. Menu does not offer wide selection but everything is very tasty. Had a wilde goose with bulgur and rhubarb with strawberry for a dessert. Staff is extremely friendly,helpful and nice.
P.s. they have heated pillows to keep you warm :)

Visited Gouda only in "transit" while skating Rotterdam - Utrecht and stopped at this cafe for a quick coffee refill and smth sweet. I recommend this place, especially lovely service

Tolle Location!

Alleraardigste, informele en speelse medewerkers. Leuke lokatie, de latte macchiato en appelgebak waren prima en de prijsstelling is dat eveneens. Leuke uitvals- en terugkeer basis voor een stadsbezoek. Je kan in de buurt kostenloos parkeren.

Ongelofelijk lekker gegeten op een sfeervolle locatie. Superlieve bediening met kennis van zaken, fijne muziek en een erg aantrekkelijk menu. Er wordt gewerkt met mooie, veelal lokale producten, deels uit hun eigen moestuin. Ook genoeg vegetarische en veganistische opties en een uitgebreide drankkaart. De passie druipt ervan af. Gouda mag trots zijn op dit pareltje!

Na een stadswandeling met gids belanden wij in het Ijsselhuis. Wij werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen een plekje direct bij de keuken, anders dat je zou denken was dit niet vervelend en konden we zo een kijkje in de keuken werpen. Direct viel het ons op dat het gehele personeel aandacht voor ons had, de service is heel goed.
We hebben heerlijk geluncht, goede wijn en verrassende gerechten.
Je ziet dat chef Herman nadenkt over de producten en samenstelling van het gerecht.
Absoluut een plek waar je moet zijn als je Gouda bezoekt.
