Very good vegan sandwiches and burgers, as well as the pumpkin soup...... great!

My friend and I were there on a Sunday night. It was a pleasant evening for us. The food was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. It is also well priced from my perspective.

The servers were paying a lot of attention to each other and very talkative. However, it didn’t ruin the mood for us.

The Gouda cheese soup is a must try. We loved this restaurant and Holland cuisines. Definitely come back here if we get chance. Prices are reasonable bw 8-15€.

Swing is our favorite place to hang out, listen to live music or get a bite to eat. The staff is top notch, friendly, helpful and fun. Swing has fabulous coffee, mixed drinks, cold beer, good food and is completely gezellig.

Wonderful place right in the main market square. Gorgeous view of the Stadhuis. Their fresh mint tea was so good I had to have two, which is especially nice on these colder winter evenings. The gouda cheese soup was a must when in the land of cheese! The outside seating area is complete with heaters and blankets so it's comfortable in the evening. A lovely place to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Thank goodness they were serving food “to go“ today. One of the kindest staff I have ever met & the burger was amazing, the fries, also perfect. Definitely worth a visit for great food. Even as To Go it was a perfect meal. Support these guys. :)

Cheesy cheese fest! Had a fabulous lunchtime meal here. Would recommend the platter for 12.50 as it gave a selection of cheese based nibbles. Friendly helpful staff, great location on the main square

Had lunch when we visited the Gouda Museum nearby.
Best truffle fries garnished with green onion. Good tomato bisque, tasted fresh ingredients and herbs. Perfectly done pulled chicken and beef patty burger. Great service too.

Great food and reasonable prices. The service was slow, which was okay since the patio was in such a great location for watching the activity in the square!

Coffee and cake for only €4. Nice place, with a view from the city hall. Very tasty appeltaart

Nice food and drink and really friendly and attentive staff. Outdoors is a lovely setting on the square. Indoors is really cool jazz/swing music ambience.

Have been there only once for a cake and coffee (which was nice!) but after reading some reviews over here really looking forward to visit them again for some lunch. Fantastic staff, cosy vibe, will for sure go there again while visiting Gouda.

Nice cafe in the middle of Gouda.

The 12 o clock Gouda soup was amazing! Definitely a must try when you’re there. The flavoured coffee were a bit sweet, but very friendly staff! Love their service!

First, my apologies for only being able to write the review in English. We just walked in to this place not knowing what to expect. The food was very good and the service from Sander and Martijn were OUTSTANDING. Everyone made us feel welcome. Back to the food: for €16.50 apiece, we had three courses - appetizer, main and dessert. I had chicken, she had pork. Both were very good, as were the appetizers (pumpkin soup and fried brie with cranberry compote). Hope this helps.
*** Update *** We've been here more times than I can count already, and the whole staff, including the piano players on Fridays and Saturdays are great - they've taken us in like family. Also, I have since eaten a burger, and honestly, it's one of the best burgers I've had in my three trips to the Netherlands.

Very nice, friendly, cheerful and smiling staff. You rarely meet such kind and committed employees, if I had my own restaurant, this is the kind of staff I would like to have. Food also very good, we tried the cheese soup, it was delicious, steaks soft tender meat, cider and cheese plate. The coffees here are delicious as well and there is a wide selection, as well as delicious teas to warm up on a chilly evening. I recommend it and as soon as we are in Gouda we will definitely be back.

Great price to value ratio, food was good and portions are quite large. The soup was the best.
