One of the best meals I've eaten in Gouda. The tuna was wonderful. Friendly and efficient service, great atmosphere. I highly recommend as an alternative to the more obvious restaurants on the main square.

This delightful intimate tavern will have you charmed in no time. Obviously, the place started as a tavern with the restaurant taking over the area. The interior is quirky, and there are a lot of the original features still standing, not to mention the gorgeous wrought iron staircase that leads to the toilets below. The tables are placed close to each other, so lending to hushed conversations and enjoyable eavesdropping scenarios. The menu is small, but there are enough choices to book a speedy return in the near future. I suggest you try the sirloin steak with truffle butter as it was beautifully cooked to perfection. I ended up with a cheese platter for dessert with port. Wow, what a lovely experience to be enjoyed here!

Great service. Curry with leek soup was amazing, the mussels… enjoyed the whole meal. Also enjoyed the location which is off the touristy crowded area.

Delicious plentiful food, best fries we had this trip (and maybe ever), beautiful setting on the canal-side. Lovely atmosphere with the place pretty full of visitors and locals (one of which taught us the proper technique to eat mussels!) We both had starters and mains and were more than full at the end, after a long day's cycle trip. We asked for the tuna cooked rare and they forgot this, but almost immediately after giving it to us, told us and offered to redo it, before we even questioned it. The redone tuna was excellent. Definitely recommend for the food and romantic setting just a little away from the main busy square

Great place in all aspects, perfect food and amazing service!! My portion was so big that I didn't manage to finish it as I would be late for a train and I still regret it...

Dutch Gastro Pub to be sure. Very cosy, small menu but what they serve in terms of wine and food is very, very good. And good value.

Buscábamos un restaurante donde cenar con unos compañeros de trabajo y encontramos este con muy buena puntuación. El ambiente muy tranquilo y agradable. La comida estaba muy buena. Los camareros son simpáticos y hablan bien inglés cosa que se agradece si no hablas su idioma. El precio es acorde a la calidad y al país.

Super gegeten op een van de mooiste terrassen van Nederland.
Eten is van hoge kwaliteit goede smaken.
Kleine kaart maar wel divers.
Bediening is zoals het hoort.

Na een harde dag werken ben je hier meer dan welkom om aan de bar bier of wijn te nuttigen. Ook de daghap is meer dan welkom. In de zomer kan je heerlijk buiten zitten op een bijzonder mooie en historische plek hier in Gouda. De toilet is wat lastig te bereiken met een wenteltrap maar dat is dan ook het enige minpuntje.

Очень уютный ресторан в нескольких десятках метров от городской площади. Отличное тихое местечко для вечера. Очень отзывчивый персонал. Приятно можно пообщаться. Минус единственный - это кухня вся еда мне показалась кисловатой. Что суп , что приправа для салата. Жаренные креветки сложно очистить. Руки потом все заляпанные. Хоть сервируют для этого блюда две салфетки , но всё же чувствуешь какой то дискомфорт. Советую серверировать к этому блюду специальные ножницы для чистки креветок. Усики от кревоток отваливаются и валяются по всему салату. Выглядит неапетитно. Атмосфера отличная , чтобы посидеть и выпить чашку кофе, но выбирать блюда надо тщательно.
