My first experience at the Jalingo airport was a very good one. I had the rare opportunity of being close to the cockpit. The airport in Jalingo has limited number of airlines that operate almost on a daily basis, with the most frequent being Overland Airways Ltd. With a single runway, this airport serves an important purpose of connecting the city and the state to the rest of the country, giving it the national connectivity it deserves. There's no doubt that the airport needs to be upgraded in facilities and infrastructure, but this can only be if the number of airlines and passengers increase in a commensurate manner. While in Jalingo, you will enjoy the scenery, culture and beauty of the people and the land of Taraba State.

Taraba State also offers a rich variety of mineral
deposits including graphite, calcite, barites,
quarzite, tin ore, kaolin, topaz, uranium and
various gemstones. Taraba has borders with
Bauchi, Gombe, Plateau, Nasarawa and
Adamawa.
With air connectivity, these potentials could more
easily be accessed and exploited for the benefit
of the State and its citizenry. This is the ultimate
goal of Overland Airways in as it opens up

A very small airport. But that means checking in and boarding will be quick. Sad part is that flight might be delayed a bit cos there's only two airlines here, Overland and Northeast.

They have potential and they are growing.

Jalingo airport, though still young is one of the best airports in the Northeastern Nigeria.
No crash records, safe and open place and so many more beautiful features.
