Decent airport. Neat environs, efficient staffers. Hardly any delays. Do note they have a entry toll gate for drivers so drivers get to pay a little sumem for an entrance fee. They also have a police station right next to the entrance, so airport's probably quite secure.

It is an amazing place to be. Serene and beautiful. There are basically three airlines here,Air peace,Arik and Ethiopian airlines.

There are different stores for books,cloths, bags, snacks and more. The airport has different units and an ATM stand too.

Akanu ibiam international airport is one of the federal government international airport located in Enugu State south East Nigeria. After the renaming of the airport from local to international airport, the airport runways and major facilities was upgraded to international standard. A new terminal building currently at 85% completion has been put in place, cargo terminus and other sub cargo units has been erected likewise. The local flight area has been rebuilt and is now having a new look.
A new 5 star hotel is currently under construction nearing it completion stage that will help serve her international and local passengers from outside and within the country. The hotel will help accommodate all stranded and incoming passengers from all over the world.
This airport also has fire safety department that is well trained and internationally certified to combat any fire incident, it will also help curb, prevent and fight fire hazard in the airport.
Enugu State is a safe haven for all it visitors who are coming for business or coming to invest in the state.

Very good experience. My first visit to Enugu state. Akanu Ibiam International is well organised. No taut, no airport staff ask for money. It took me just 10min minutes to collect my luggage and off I go. Another nice thing about the airport is that there is a taxi desk inside the arrival hall that would assist to get a genuine airport taxi. Hope to visit again.
