NYSC Orientation Camp, Awgu

It's a good place for NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP, the environment, nature of the camp condition it for camping,
It have some hill.

The weather
During the morning time the weather will be cold 🥶 you need to cover yourself well, and in the afternoon time the weather will change to warn sometimes a little bit hot an back in the night time the weather will also change to cold 🥶. All the changes in weather conditions in each Day account to the fact that they is a hill besides the camp and the camp is also on a hill, an the latitude from sea level also contribute to the changes in weather.

Environment.
It is basically two, the inside camp and the outside (basically used for football, volleyball, parade ground, and other events)
This is because of the hill formation of the camp, the distance between the two is approximate 500m. Every other events are done inside the camp.

Security.
The security of evey NYSC CAMP is Federal Government priority, so the security inside the camp and the outside is good, the security personnel in Awgu camp where up to 50, or more this is due to the fact that the corp members have to move outside the fence camp for others events.

Hostel.
The hostel is in good condition, just let others hostel it was treated again bed box, lic, mosquitoes and other insects before and after camp,

Food and drinks,
If u didn't want to eat the food provided at the camp kitchen you can as well buy food at the camp market to eat, also drinks.
The camp food follow a national food table.

History
Awgu camp was the first NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP in Nigeria 🇳🇬 after the the Nigerian civil war it was design for national unity for us to really know people from other tribe an culture.

It a nice place to be. The camp was used during the civil war by Biafran army. Its the oldest NYSC camp in Nigeria.

It's a serene environment. Known for its early morning cool breeze. Indeed, it's an amazing place✨

If you're reading this, then you've probably got your call up letter, Congratulations on that. I'm really happy that you were posted to Enugu orientation camp, really it's one of the best in the country. I'm just sorry that there's nothing you can do to change your fate now.

A few things that make Enugu camp a very good place.

The buildings are over 50 years old and still standing strong.
The camp is located on top of a hill, hence the cold weather, this coupled with the fact that you might have bulging calve muscles by the end of the camp, which is also a good thing.
As I said before, the buildings are over 50 years old, but I wonder why the boys hostel is still uncompleted, who knows, maybe they're trying to preserve history, so I guess it's a good thing to be surrounded by history too. The toilets and bathrooms are also over 50 years old, you can imagine what they look like, I've only been able to empty my bowels once so far, something I've never done before, so I guess that's also a good thing.
And the food, you should know by now, no pepper, just tomatoes, no salt, just Maggi and other spices, and if you have a lot of money to spend, the market has assorted foods waiting for you.

I don't need to share photos, cos I want you to imagine the best possible scenario, or worst scenario as the case may be.

NYSC camp Awgu is one of the best NYSC camp in Nigeria, following Enugu-portharcourt express road, take your right when you get to Aki na Ukwa junction if you are coming from Enugu. It's very easy to locate with Google map.

My experience here was fantastic

The place is nice sha but very hilly. The camp is the first in Nigeria so don't expect latest stuff

The NYSC Orientation camp at Enugu is on a hill, always cold at night and in the morning. The water is very clean. The people living around the camp in Awgu do mini cassava farming.
