This branch of Kinokuniya may be small in comparison to its typical mega bookstore image. What I like about it is the distillation of good quality books on its bookshelves, sorted and arranged in relatable fashion to the genres and themes. Whether you are into best selling books or just want to browse for inspiration, this iconic bookstore is not to be missed!

Kinokuniya has a wide range of genre book collections. It does retain the feel of a Japanese book store even though it carries more English titles then before.
I used to visit the Thomson Plaza branch before it closed. Magazines about aircraft that comes with an aircraft model. In order to complete building the aircraft, you have to buy 10 to 12 issues of the magazine.

Came here to purchase a book as a birthday gift. Complimentary wrapping services are provided for such gifts. You may select up to 3 different designs to suit your recipient’s profile. Nothing too fancy but not complaining since there’s no additional charge. Staff is very patient and helpful in directing me to locate the specific book and wrapping it with full care as well. Love to visit this outlet just to unwind and browse through the latest books. Quiet environment as most visitors would treat this like a library of sorts. The range of genres and titles here is fantastic too - from non-fiction to Chinese novels and children’s playbooks. Membership available at $21 per year which gets you 10% discounts off all purchases.

Feeling at home whenever I visit/shop here. They have exhaustive collection of books from varied languages: Japanese, Korean, Chinese and English among others. Staff is always attentive and they offer free gift wrapping for books purchased in store. Quiet place. Offers new books and if you couldn’t find the title you are looking for you can always reserve it from the customer service staff.

A smaller bookshop compared to the one at talashimaya. There are some books there that cannot be found here but its still nice to look around, with majority of the mangas and comics present.

Love the smell of books as you step into the bookstore. A wide variety of magazines. You may even find some beautifully illustrated books!

Great service by staff who helped me locate Genshin publications quickly. The shelf numbers could be more clearly labelled like main store to facilitate self search by customers.

One of the best bookstore chain. There are many different books by topics and also by countries.

Lovely. All the other bookshops have closed down in Singapore. This and another are the only surviving ones. Let's patronise them to keep the business going. We can all just buy one book per month. We don't have to be illiterate by choice.

Clean and well-arranged with a slew of collection across the different genres and reading types. One of the last remaining major bookstore in the city.

We couldn’t find easily what we were looking for but we asked for information and they were very helpful.
They have a huge variety of books in English, Japanese and Chinese.
It is located IN the mall and you can get there directly from the MRT Bugis station.

This outlet can’t compare to the huge one in Takashimaya but still able to offers variety of books with nice promotion. Well organized. Friendly staff.
