The Food Merchant @ Pavilion Bukit Jalil

A very big supermarket with spaces for you to eat pastries and drink wine and beer. Also this is a sunday, there is a live performance by a malay couple who sing chinese and english rock oldies, the live performances differ from time to time and not fixed. A good place for people with families to just chill and relax. Parking is not an issue.

Friendly promoter was doing sampling on a particular beverage and I was offered to taste one. There are comfortable dining chairs and tables to enjoy a cup of coffee or wine or rest while groceries shopping. Products from Japan, Korea, Thai, organic products as well as local food stuff.

Great foods at an affordable price! Hong Kong Claypot rice(RM17.90-23.90), Italy foods like Margherita and fresh juice combo(RM29) is a must try.

There is also a live band performance here during dining hours. Washing basin is also available here for great hygiene and ample tables and chairs for simple dining.

This is my go-to grocer! I've frequented most of The Food Merchants in KL, and this is by far the best one–from it's great wine selection, to the variety of cheeses and non-halal ham and meat selections they offer. The range is excellent! They even have an array of salamis and hams to taste test over the weekend.

The store is full of imported foods and products, so it will be on the higher end in terms of price. But as compared to other grocers like Jaya or Ben's, I don't see much of a difference in terms of price. If anything, it's slightly cheaper for some of the products.

Definitely worth your time if you want to try something new. They even have great food stalls and a bakery within the store.

Very modern set up of the supermarket, which mostly focus on food. I have to give a big compliment to 1 Staff, Mr.Victor for his very warm hospitality. He also goes to other tables making sure the customers need are fulfilled.

The Food Merchant in Pavilion Bukit Jalil is a premium grocer, which was officially launched on Dec 3, 2021. You can easily visit the place via LRT and alight at Awan Besar LRT Station. From there, board the free feeder bus which will drop you off at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. The store's theme seems to be 'Bringing Joy and Togetherness' with food from over ten nations, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Italy, Portugal, South Africa, Peru, the Middle East, and the United States. The ambience is classy and the price of their products is surprisingly reasonable. The store closes at 10pm.

Plenty of groceries available. We like the seafood in particular. Can buy various fresh fishes here

Spaces between aisles are slightly narrower. Sometimes it's just difficult to walk through aisles because of people looking for their item. Love the variety of choices and brands there to choose from. Imported goods are easily found too.

Nice environment, can have italian, china, britain, hongkong, nyonya, japan, malaysia food.

A pleasant experience that I will return to. They offer a wide array of alcoholic beverages and a few comfy seats to enjoy with.

Loving the drinking area! You ccan buy alcohols, and order their platters! Awesome!

Since much has already been written about the impressive range of imported goods and fresh produce in the supermarket, my review will focus on the China food kiosk that serves delicious, freshly made specialities from China. The menu is very limited but what we had was authentic and so drool-worthy that we headed back there the very next weekend. We stay in Subang Jaya, so it really had to be good for us to make the trip to Bukit Jalil again! We absolutely love the 'kou sui ji fan' 口水鸡 饭 (chicken in mildly mala sauce, with rice ) and the Guilin rice vermicelli. Do eat the Guilin noodles before the mala chicken as the flavour of the latter can overpower the more subtle flavour of the noodles. We're planning to go there again to try their pickled cabbage fish fillet rice and luosifen. Can't wait!

Park in Zone C which is the nearest to The Food Merchant.

I really enjoy groceries shopping there. Their selection is very wide and accessible to all budgets. There are always good bargains available, including on imported products. The vegetables, meat, fish... are all very fresh and displayed in an engaging way. Being able to eat some finger food and have a glass of wine there adds to the fun. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and very courteous.

Awesome display full of different range and countries foods. Definitely is a good choice of supermarket to shop some surprise ingredients.

5 stars for the Vineyard as the service is tip top. The staffs are well trained to serve customers well, a young boy staff even took an extra mile to help me pay for a pack of chips as the cashier counters are quite distant from the Vineyard.

Recommended but can be difficult to find your way round and relocate your friend if with someone!
