Campenture @ Kerling

Got to know this campsite from a friend who posted stories at IG. Went for a 3 days 2 night camping trip. We took a spot near the washing basin facilities/toilet/plug point. A nice spot with a small tree, easy access to toilet and flat ground too. It's hot during day time because there were no big trees around so we hanged out at the river near by. The place is well-maintained and clean. The groundskeepers are friendly and nice especially Seng, he really paid attention on our need and help us to set up fly sheet before its rain. Night sky was awesome with full of stars, if you lucky you will see shooting stars too! Can't wait for the next camping trip!

Fun, affordable, and extremely accommodating experience in KL!

My friends and I went did a weekend camping with Campenture and it went so smoothly - I got my first ever good night of sleep outdoors ever (and I’ve gone camping a LOT in the past).

I don’t have any equipment and didn’t want to do anything, which was perfect because Campenture can rent you anything and everything so we rented their tents, sleeping bags, BBQ pit, chairs, tables, etc etc. We also opted to buy food, ice, and drinks from them because we didn’t want to deal with any of that stuff haha, so they prepped really good food for us to grill and eat right away!

The location is close enough to the city so you only really have to drive a short distance away, while being far enough to feel like a good break from the concrete jungle. There’s also no light pollution out there so you get suchhhhh nice views of the stars.

+10000 points for functional toilets and being able to play in the natural river! We went in for a quick wash and it was so refreshing after sitting around in Malaysia’s humid weather.

Highly recommend as a fun thing to do in Malaysia, fun birthday idea, or just something different and outdoorsy to do with friends.

I have been here twice with friends for the past three months, it is a great place to have a short getaway from the bustling city and embrace nature with friends to create unforgettable memories. The host responded to our requests attentionally and always welcome us as a friend. No doubt here will be one of my favourite campsites and I definitely will recommend it to anyone who loves to camp.

A great weekend activity to be immersed in nature, even for beginners and first timers. You can rent camping essentials and even order ingredients from the organisers so you really just have to turn up at the campsite (only around 40mins from KL city). The team at Campenture are also very friendly and helpful which made our weekend so chilled and fun.

Highlights at Campenture: stargazing, taking a bath in the river, clean toilets and the warmest team!

A couple weekends ago, I spent 2D1N at the Campenture site with a bunch of close friends to celebrate a birthday and it was a truly memorable experience.

Not only did this camping holiday give me time to reconnect with nature and childhood buddies, it also helped me make new friends - some of whom are those that manage Campenture. The showrunners of the place really make you feel at home as they help you set up the tents, show you around the place and look after you throughout your stay. Despite it being the outdoors, I felt safe the entire time.

It was particularly delightful to see that the campers that go here are of various demographics. From a couple who brought their dog to a family with two young children to a big group of friends that were novice campers.

Another noteworthy mention about this place is that there is no power supply. This is awesome because once the sun sets, we got to have dinner with the fairy lights surrounding our tarp and admired the clear night sky with stars, free from light pollution. It was a very grounding feeling.

Had the most spectacular experience at Campenture in the early weeks of December 2021. The grounds are clean, well cared for and had wonderful, friendly groundskeepers on standby to assist campers new and old with anything they needed - chairs, portable stoves, bedding etc. Although there are no sunrises or sunsets to catch, the campsite is nestled in a little valley with the perfect amount of light and is very close to a river (Sg. Kerling) for campers to go in for a cooling dip during hot afternoons. Best thing though - NO MOSQUITOES (well when we were there). Highly recommended for an easy getaway for adventurous city folk.

Such a wonderful experience I had there. It was scenic and beautiful! The organisers were also very experienced and professional in hosting my group and I over the weekend!

Loved the experience and it was made so much smoother thanks to the Campenture team! The river was so clean and nice to dip in and the area in general is well kept and clean. Definitely visiting again to stargaze !

I love camping and the outdoors. However, the process of procuring all the necessary equipment and finding a peaceful, secluded yet safe spot has always steered me away from planning a camping trip.

Then I chanced upon Campenture. They provided me and my friends a truly easy and seamless path back into camping. Owners are amazingly friendly and helpful. They made ready everything I needed to camp from tents to tarps to camping chairs. All I had to do was pack my bags and get there!

They are located at a beautiful spot of private land in Kuala Kubu Bharu with a pristine stream to swim in and some amazing views of the night sky. Thank you Campenture for giving me my first camping experience in years. Highly recommended to anyone who is seeking to immerse themselves in nature and have a short escape from the city.

Spent the weekend at Campenture and so, so glad I did! Had a lot of initial trepidation about spending the night without basic amenities in the wild but the service provided by staff was excellent all-around and made me feel right at home, despite it being my first camping experience... you may bring your own camping equipment or choose to rent and if you're choosing the latter (like I did), the staff on duty are more than happy to teach/help you assemble your own tent, which I thought was such a lovely gesture on their part.

The campsite itself is located on a spacious plot of land right next to a stream/creek - the water is knee-high level near the banks, ice-cool and crystal-clear (perfect for a refreshing morning dip/mid-afternoon swim!). There's also a small house-like structure built on the edge of the campsite that houses basic amenities (toilet/bathroom/plug points etc.) - the toilets were generally clean and well-kept, although it can get a bit busy in the mornings. We even built a BBQ pit/campfire and talked into the wee hours of the morning under the stars... despite it having rained earlier in the evening, honestly felt that the night sky at Campenture was truly something else! I've genuinely never seen so many stars in the sky (there must've been hundreds?!) and it made me realise just how badly light pollution affects the visibility of our night sky in city/metropolitan areas.

Tbh, I'd gladly do Campenture again just for the view of the night sky - its mesmerising and gives you new-found perspective of just how small we are in the grand scheme of things; a sight to behold and truly, truly humbling...

PS: Bring along a telescope (if you own one) and thank me later ;)

Great place to have a feel of real camping without it being too extreme--set up your own tents, build your own fire, take a dip in the pristine waters of the nearby river. Tents and other usual camping gear can be arranged. There is a clean bathroom.

Internet connection is almost non-existent, which is a great thing because you're not there to stare at your phone. There are mosquitos at night and ants may invade your tents so you really need to have insect repellant.

Being away from the city, the skies are clear and if you're lucky enough, you could witness shooting stars like we did! It's not that far off a drive from KL--about 1hr 15mins with good traffic.

The staff on the campsite are friendly and super helpful. They're really there for you should you need any help.

If you've been stuck at home due to MCO, this is the outdoor getaway that you need.

Location:
not too deep in the forest. Proper Tar road & bit of rocky trunk road will lead you to the site. next to the site, moderate size running river with clear Chilling water. camping ground is mostly flat with different spots to choice from.

Facilities:
one basecamp building with 2 toilets where you can bath, 2 basins, a stove and table. Electric is powered by generator, but its not noisy. they even build a Dip pool. (i'm not sure if we can jump into it ornot)

Camp operators:
Campenture owners are very friendly and helpful. just talk to them if you need anything or any help. they are always there to assist. i even saw them help a camper who got his car stuck in the mud when he drove the wrong path.

Overall, this is a good site for friends and family gathering to enjoy some camping adventure and quiet time.

Spend my bday weekend at Kerling was definitely my favourite experience. campenture staff was not only welcoming, cheerful and attentive but also super friendly and helpful. they make you feel like home. kerling is such a beautiful camping site to spend with your friends and family, and dipping into the river was so refreshing and the river is so clean too. Lucky me my first night camping i saw a shooting star 😍 truly enjoyed the company and the ambiece. looking forward to my next camping adventure. thank you campenture

Even thou I’m not a big fan of camping, this team and venue has truly changed my view on camping.. what an amazing experience🥰 highly recommended ..

Amazing place to just relax and get out of the city. Super friendly people. Nice river just beside your campsite. Amazing! What else can you ask for? Definitely a must!
