Ombok Cherating Surf Cafe

This is a very chilled-out place. It is by the beach and very relaxing. Lots of beach vibes here. The food is good as well. I had their monsoon burger and it was great! The beef was just nice and the chips were deliciously fried. The local coffee was great too. They did not pre-add sugar into the coffee. So I had to add it myself… I think this is great for those who want to add-to-taste. They are closed on Tuesdays. Every other days, they would be closed by 5pm. I will definitely come back here for more relaxing trips!

Love this place so much. It's a surfer cafe with a lot of really beautiful clothing, jewelry, bags, and hats. This cafe is totally a vibe, and I wish I could visit every day. I went 2 of the 4 days of our vacation. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, fresh, hot, and superb. It was extremely busy around lunch hour. We waited a bit until it was 1, and there were fewer people but still a steady flow of customers. I forgot to take a picture of the boocha (citrus flavor) I bought on our second visit. I already miss this place so much. This is my kind of cafe. Next time I visit that area, I will be back.

Ombok Cherating Surf Cafe in Kampung Cherating Lama is the quintessential beachside eatery. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making the entire dining experience memorable. An excellent spot for both locals and visitors. Highly recommended!

I want to give all 5 stars but there was 1 thing that annoyed me. The cafe was at the roadside, it was polluted by motorbikes noise and exhaust smoke. I guess because it was weekend?. I love all about this cafe except the noise and smoke from the road. Love all the food. Staff were friendly too.

Their Gula Melaka Latte is the best. We decided to try after reading good reviews about it. Kinda reminds me of Starbucks Okinawa Latte which I miss so much. The shop has nice ambience to it. We wanted to try the mango cheesecake but it was OOS. Cheese Toasties is nothing special. Wish they put enough cheese instead. Overall good experience!

Amazing all around. The food was great at that price. Drinks were lovely too. Atmosphere nice but of course can get really hot at times. Service good. Highly recommended.

Came on a Friday morning especially for Kula Cafes Mango cheesecake as we didn’t get enough of it the day prior when we were in Kuantan .

Priced at rm13.20 after tax , is much more expensive then the original Cafe😂 but u don’t have to queue .

We also ordered the famous Fish and Chips (rm24.20)and it was delicious 😋
Definitely highly recommended.

We had the local brew (RM5.50) kopi Kaw 👍🏻👍🏻.. not too sweet, very much to our liking .

The space are pretty limited and outdoors seats are sheltered but can get hot as there’s limited number of fans .

Everything was great! drinks are so nice also fish&chips very delish! staff very kind and accomodating as well 🙌🙌🙌 thumbs up and the vibes is 10/10, got cute cat and u can shop also inside got plenty of aesthetic stuff 🫶🏻🌸✨

Great place to sit and enjoy company with friends. It’s expensive and the cappuccino has too much milk but not the worst option!! Also, has a cute shop attached with clothes, sunscreen, jewelry, hats, etc for purchase

Juicy, tasty, nice large fries, staff gives off a good vibe, friendly and chill.
This cafe has changed a lot over the years. It has expanded, it use to be a little shack, to a retail + cafe with more seatings. Great people, great vibes here.
I always visit this cafe when I visit cherating.

This is a very small cafe. Was skeptical at first as we were not sure if it would cater to our needs as some of us are vegetarian. But the guy at the counter knows his stuff. He suggested us pasta and the things he could add and remove to make it vegetarian. And they use fresh milk to make their coffee. The gula melaka coffee is to die for!! I don’t think anyone would make a second trip to Cherating so on your first trip here, please go try this cafe out.
Just one drawback is that they have cats roaming all over. I don’t like animals in restaurants that disturb while you’re eating so ya but you can ask the people working there to take the cats away.

Great food, friendly service, and lovely ambience. On some days there will be live music/band keeping you entertained as you dine! The perfect place to be while you’re in Cherating! 💯

A restaurant with interesting backstory, friendly staff, chilling ambience and delicious food.

Ombok coffee was just Kopi-O-kau for me, but it was good.

Mango cheesecake is a must-try. Sweet mango, creamy cheese and crispy biscuit make it the best dishes of all day.

Fish & chip was at first seems normal at first glance, but the fish is really fresh and the fries was self-made but as good as the frozen fries in supermarkets. So should give it a try as well.

Great coffee and smoothies, great food (I highly recommend the breakfasts, pastas, and burgers), and great vibe.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and I love how artsy, colourful, and full of instagrammable spots the environment is.

They score extra extra points for the fact that their takeaway packaging is environmentally friendly. If there's one place I never skip when I'm in Cherating, it's Ombok!
