The Mechanic Cafe

A very nice cafe with nice ambient and friendly staffs. Limitations is some of the tables are a little uncomfortable, other than that, all good. I've always been a regular here. Their honeycomb latte is superb. Best aglio olio I've tasted so far, kimchi tuna sandwich also nice.... Burger is nice too. Downside is... They don't serve the butter bread with aglio olio anymore.... Sad....Their operating hours until 7pm only. Always rushing here after work for dinner hehe.hope they extend their hours~

The staff are very polite and the music they play is very easy to the ears. Managed to concentrate on finishing some works because of these factors.

I always enjoy their flat white with nutty taste. Next time shall try their fruity taste one.
The only cons is that they don't substitute the fresh milk with the plant-based options, so it's not suitable for the vegans or people with lactose intolerance. They do have black coffee and non coffee beverages to choose from.

Tried Nutella crepe and it's quite delicious. Recommended.

Unexpected find in such a competitive food heaven.

We ordered a dessert, pesto, chicken arrabiata and chicken burger. In average the food was above average. Having said, the pesto and arrabiata were phenomenal, stimulating taste that leave a great after taste.
The only setbacks are the seats and long wait, yet who would mind if they focus on quality over quantity for our indulgence

Nice atmosphere with good food and beverages. Relaxing place for me to gather with friends and family members during weekdays.

With some extra time to kill before calling it a day, the young ones wanted to go to a cafe for drinks and chill out 😅 since one family lives in Cheras, they suggested a cafe in Balakong which serves good coffee.

Perfect! Just what the adult need after a long day on the road. The trip back to Cheras was a quick one using LEKAS Highway - we found ourselves arriving in less than 30 minutes.

The Mechanic Cafe is located on the first floor of a corner shop unit, making it very spacious and bright with their floor-to-ceiling glass utilising the natural sunlight. However there is not much of nice views unless you like watching buildings, passing cars and people walking by 🤣

◾Pure - a simple name for their classic and crispy waffle which is perfect match for their vanilla ice cream, housemade coffee caramel sauce, granola & berries.
◾Popcorn chicken - options for spicy/non-spicy + served with garlic aioli
◾Homemade mashed potato - the itchy daughter loved the savoury gravy.
◾Burnt cheesecake - quite nice to pair with our coffee.
◾Filtered coffee aka V60 - perfect way to extract the best flavour out of the beans.
◾Drink options suit the young to the old - matcha latte, iced black, iced latte, flat white, and even juice.

A mainstay in this area and right next to the ever popular C180, this cafe has been around since 2017 and doesn't show any sign of slowing down.

Cozy environment and the staff is attentive.
Tried their honey comb latte, something special. Their seafood Aglio olio is not bad as well as the burnt cheese cake. We took away some banana loaf and almond croissants for clients coz they looked so delicious.
Recommended.

Overall, 5 star from me. Loved the cafe, so cozy, clean and tables are far from each other. Staffs are super friendly. Ordered 6 different types of their main dish, it was delicious. Not forgetting their coffees and matcha was good too. Never regret at all driving there 1 hour for their food. Highly recommended.

Their signature drinks (oolong tea with apple/cinnamon and the black coffee with citrus) were absolutely phenomenal.

Food was great as well - we had the miso spaghetti and the big breakfast.

The space was also beautiful with lots of natural light and was conducive for work. Service staff were also very kind and attentive.

One of my favourite place for salad (yes, salad 🤣 their salad is not regular boring salad but a salad that will satisfy your tastebuds) and coffee!!!

One of a kind. Very spacious, minimalistic, cozy and relaxing environment. Attendants/staff friendly and courteous as ever. Mint mocha was awesomeeee.. like After Enght choc bara melted in coffee! Rose coffee was nice too. Waitress recommended choc banana croissant, which was superb! Will certainly visit again!

Not a place that I would take my car out for a service, instead a place that I'd bulk buy the pastry and get a cuppa coffee while I'm at it. When you need to take pastry home with you, you can safely say that the pastry is bluddy good. I had the reed bean sth sth, and even though I normally don't like red bean I actually needed to take one home with me.

The coffee also blew my expectation out of water - fruity and strong, complementing the pastry. They open late, but come early. Families will pop up within a blink of an eye bringing two or three generations with them - grandads, aunties and all the babies. It is a family-friendly space though. Even if you don't live within a few kilometres in the area, it's still worth the trek.

One of the few cafes in the area worth visiting. Waitstaff are friendly and efficient, very attentive too. Ambience is great.
We came for weekend lunch hence it was abit crowded, other times it should be more quiet and cozy.
The food was impressive, we had their Crispy Fish Burger, Carbonara and Rose Latte, all amazing, tasty and rich in flavour. Highly recommended, will come back soon.

Minimalist style, cozy vibe (except some customers are loud) food price is reasonable compared to other places, the food is great The Pesto has a good balance for my liking. I'll be back to try the coffee and the side dish next time. (The location is on the 2nd floor and the entrance is a stair so don't screw up)

Great place having a good laugh with friends, yummy-licious food, good coffee, attentive staff, they change their menu every 6 months to keep customers coming back, leaving this cafe with happy tummy and will definitely be worth returning again by flight all the way from East Malaysia. Beware of gaining a few kgs visiting this cafe😹😹

Minimalist design cafe. Nice food and kudos to the friendly, attentive young staffs. Comfortable quiet environment good for meet up and working. There's many shops nearby, parking might be difficult and congested.

Have to climb to 1st floor but once entered it's a wonderful feel inside. Tables are well spaced out. Wonderful staff, very attentive. Food is good portion and tasty.
