The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

This is a classic resort hotel. Everything is concise, bright, and solid.

Room is well illuminated both at day and night. The balcony exemplifies what is the attention to detail. The room clads in nice contrast. Garden and swimming pool are structured very nicely, not very exotic but very beautiful. What a great place.

Breakfast is superb, with loads of good quality options you never get bored. You also feel the mood is better with gardens and pools at front.

I realize the uniqueness of a resort is often overlooked. We are often intrigued by loads of exotic advertisements and brochures, but there is something you need to feel in person. Hotel is always about the experience, not the pictures or videos that are designed to satisfy your eyes.

Still staying here with family ( our second night ) . Everything is clean , view from balcony is fantastic same as from this amazing infinity pool. This one is the perfect spot for a mesmerising sunset. Staff is friendly especially towards kids. Kids club is basic but because of staff and activities kids love it ( yesterday they did mug painting) today batik shirts .

Big plus on breakfast which has high quality ingredients and great choices. We tried the high tea which exceeded our expectation ( both because of setting/view and food itself)

Nature is breathtaking and the wildlife on the compound is beautiful . You see squirrels , eagles, hornbills and other amazing wildlife

Both inside and outside at pool and even partly at beach you have good wifi

It truly is a 5 star hotel which does not have to shy away from international competitors .

4 minor downs. The beach itself while clean exposes some dense layers of sharp seashells upon low tides . Better wear your shoes there.

The recreation area with gym , play area, squash basketball and kids club is well equipped but I f you need to use toilet you have to go around the whole compound to find the main building as per staff.

Toilets while clean and nice would benefit from sink and toilet for small guests . Kids can’t reach the sink .

If you are very sensitive when it comes to noise you might have some issue with soundproofing or live music . For us the live music until 10:30 was a highlight though . Laid back songs , great voices which we enjoyed from the balcony and if you want to have less volume . Close the balcony door.

These minor flaws are no big deal and to us well

Large hotel with very good service. Infinity pool with great view and plenty of loungers. The beach has some loungers and is quieter. The sand is coarse and grey but you can swim in the sea. Tide restaurant is excellent and other more casual dining with alcohol is a short walk away at the Yacht Club.

Upgraded to a villa with pool, for one night coming from another hotel after an 8 night stay. Lovely beach view, excellent villa, friendly staff. Felt the restaurant and food was below 5 star in quality but still good.

The view near the sea side is amazing, and the amenities were very nice.

The service and staff were super nice too which is awesome.

My only gripe is that because this resort/hotel is been in business for so long, the buildings feel dated.

My husband and I held our wedding at the Westin and it was spectacular. The location is amazing, our villa was beautiful and huge, the facilities were all amazing (the breakfast buffet is the best we’ve ever seen). All the staff were super friendly and accommodating, and helped to make our wedding experience really special. Molly in particular was our fantastic liaison and she was so sweet and helpful and communicative. Everything was beyond our expectations and we’re looking forward to coming back in the future.

We were here for 3 nights. When we first arrived and parked our rented car, the place seemed a bit disappointing. But then we saw the view frim the lobby reception and were blown away.

Rooms are quite dated, but mostly well maintained. The corridors were a bit eerie since the carpets looked old and the main room doors were painted this shade of gray that looked really cheap and like it was done by a bunch of amateurs cos the paint was patchy and thick. The ceiling in the wardrobe in room 4305 could do with a fresh lick of paint as spots of mould could be seen, and the wardrobe doors dont close properly. But generally, the room was neat, clean, and most importantly, the beddings were superrrr comfortable.

Breakfast spread was fit for a king, tasted delicious and service was prompt. Honestly, nothing we could fault.

Service throughout was one of the best we have experienced amongst all the 5 star city hotels and resorts.

Service calls were quick. We placed our rooms in DND because we were only there for 3 nights, there was really no need to get the room cleaned daily. When we requested for extra amenities, they came by almost instantly. Special shoutout to the concierge team who were genuine, gave great advise and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

We spent most of our time outside but with the service and facilities at the hotel, you could probably just stay within the premise all day and not be bored. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.

A wonderful hotel with lots of space and beautiful beach. We stayed at the water front villa over new year night and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. impressed with the quality of food in the hotel and efficiency of the room service. The new year seven course dinner was a delight. Will dream of coming back

Beautiful resort located in a more quieter part of Langkawi. Not far from the Eagle Square and Kuah Jetty, the resort is about 30 minutes drive away from the Langkawi International Airport.
The staff is very polite and helpful. I had booked a guest room for myself but was upgraded to partial ocean view room upon check-in. The room had a stunning view and was very spacious, neat and comfortable. The resort has great on-site restaurants with plentiful, delicious food options.

We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel and we really enjoyed it.

The grounds are beautifully kept and the visual access to local wildlife (birds, beach creatures and monkeys) was awesome.

The breakfast service is very generous and the staff were great in accommodating my vegan diet. I felt especially cared for by Mahesh Sign Rawat, the Indian Sous Chef who went out of his way to show me all of my options (there are many) and made a special roti without butter.
We also ordered room service during dinner and the menu was very clearly marked with vegan options.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Westin Langkawi if you are a traveling vegan. They made my stay so easy and enjoyable.

It's the place to go to get away from people and the world. Secluded hideaway, private beach raked for sea debris every morning, beautifully kept grounds, immense domaine, beautiful rooms, 4 swimming pools, great breakfast, good food and bars. What more do I need to say. The personnel are wonderful, whether at the restaurants, bars, pools, beach reception or outdoors at the parking and baggage area. You don't need to get out of the complex. I'll definitely come back when I next need a complete quiet relaxation away from everyone/everything moment.

Westin hotel: 10/10. Good service even though very crowded during Christmas season. Breakfast was offered as no upgraded was given with our membership. Audience of the Westin is Muslim population.

Restaurants: honestly we tried to push our boundaries and to go out but Langkawi hasn’t any nice good to offer. We tried Fish farm and got sick because of fried food. Only good restaurants on the island are the one in the hotel and at the Saint Regis (which are pretty cheap!).

Taxi: super convenient with Grab app (similar to Uber).

Tourism service (Blue sky): nice people and nice service. Just be aware the agency fee is high - you rather go directly to the location and book. I put pictures attached of the different services they use so you can go direct. Be aware - blue sky doesn’t tell you to bring cash to pay some entrance fees (so bring cash!).

Langkawi location: honestly - so so. The island is nice but not the best of what I expected. Beaches aren’t as good as Caribbean. Island is poor and safe.
When seeing population putting Palestine flag everywhere (after Gaza attack), I didn’t feel comfortable.

Drinks: honestly my partner and I like sipping cocktails but didn’t feel any sort of alcohol inside… disappointing on this side.

Breakfast: super good breakfast with everything you can imagine from icecream to fruits and smoothies but how crowded and loud!

We checked in around 5:30pm. Farah helped us with room arrangements. She is friendly and helpful for a group with kids and senior citizen.

There are 3 swimming pools. Our girls immediately immersed themselves into the cool swimming pools. The rest of us enjoying the nice, windy evening with drinks from Tide restaurant. Bar tender, Al-Harriz served and chat with us, and made our evening there.

2nd round at Breeze bar. Ong helped us with recommendations on 10 glasses of cocktails and drinks. Ismail at Seasonal Taste arranged a sumptuous dinner for us.

During breakfast, Anisya help us on our seats and coffee and starts our day :) Thanks to Ken Meng for chilli padi with soya sauce.

The team were super friendly. Thanks to Fariz for chitchatting with our little girls. We will come again if visiting Langkawi again.

My family and I stayed at Westin Langkawi in February of 2023, it was our first resort holiday and first time in Langkawi. From the moment we stepped into the resort to the moment we left staff were so friendly and accommodating.

As for service and amenities at the hotel, everything was picturesque and well maintained. The buffet breakfast is a must, the views from the dining room in the morning are wonderful. The chefs provide both local foods and other less exotic options for kids and picky eaters. Dining at tide in the evening is a wonderful experience but you need to book in advance to be sat on a table near the water. Ordering drinks at the poolside bar with views of the ocean also feels very luxurious. We also ended up booking a massage package. The spa is located further away from the main hotel, away from the hustle and bustle. It feels very tranquil and after the massage they set us up with tea and a view of the beach to relax before we left. It was so soothing and I highly recommend using their services.

The staff are also amazing and super accommodating. My sister had her birthday during our trip and we requested balloons in the room as a surprise and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Front of desk listened to my request patiently and the cleaning staff who set up the room did such a superb job. The staff at tide also brought out cake with a candle on request so we could sing happy birthday to her. We made many happy memories and overall, our stay was so good that we have been talking about it for months now. We have recommended this resort to everyone who asks and will continue to do so in the future.

Excellent breakfast with worldwide choices, and even ice cream and churros with fabulous dark chocolate sauce. Wonderful potatoes. Great breakfast pastries, including a wonderful Malaysian crepe with peanuts (and very nice person who makes them).

A fantastic hotel in Langkawi with great views, restaurants on-site, awesome swimming pools, access to the beach, ample parking, and great staff.

The hotel rooms are spacious and well furnished. Rooms are scattered across several buildings that are connected. Besides rooms, they have independent chalets.

The hotel is very close to the Langkawi bus station, and there are many restaurants nearby within walking distance.

We had a wonderful time at Westin Langkawi. The service was excellent. A beautiful resort, delicious spread for breakfast. We will definitely come again.

Spent my weekend here for the first time, I must say Westin is a good place to stay!!! Shout out to Aerul, the duty manager who was giving me a warm welcome. The breakfast was great too! Waffle with ice cream was delicious and I had them 2 days in a row, yumssss!!!! I’ve met Chef Tahar who was super helpful and cheerful not only to us, but to most of the guests. All service staffs were great! Also to the lady who served me the waffles, chef Clara.. she was very welcoming, and I can feel her warmth but just serving me once! Great team!!!!!

Fantastic resort with good restaurants and excellent service. We had a 2 room villa that was perfectly laid out. Super good wifi and efficient internal buggy transport service. However need to get a car to get to town
