South Paw Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Ivan are the best! A few months ago, my dog had a backbone problem and I brought him to a different clinic at first. The doctor said we needed to operate on him immediately, but I refused. I got to know about South Paw Veterinary Clinic from Google, and I brought him here. The doctor gave me some medicines and he said we should observe him with medications first and now my puppy is perfectly fine without surgery. He can walk, run, and climb stairs.

Great service, friendly front desk, Doctor Ivan was very patient and put up with our peculiar manner of treating our cat, even gave advice and input on the holistic treatment methods we were already trying at home. Pleasantly surprised when it was time to pay, far cheaper than other vets I've been to. Will be the regular clinic for my pets from now on.

My cat was rescued from being a stray cat and has lived joyfully for the past three years. Thanks Dr Ivan and all the staffs in South Paws. Your exceptional skills and care gave her second chance at life three years ago. Although she has now passed away, the impact of their care is immeasurable, transforming her existence into one filled with love and comfort. I am truly grateful for the extraordinary difference they made in her life.

My pup needed immediate treatments due to food poisoning. Contacted so many clinics in johor, they turn us down as we do not have an appointment even though it emergency. However, Dr Tan and Dr Ivan willing to wait for us after operating hours all the way from Tmn Perling. As soon as we arrived they attended to my pup without demanding any extra charges. They taken good care and treatments for both my pups. Always keep us posted my pup conditions. The charges are reasonable. Will not simply do any test if not needed.

There is a white cat, looked very weak and thin in front of your clinic. Looks like the cat didn't drink or eat for days as the bowl was very dirty and dry! I am a foreigner. I hope I can travel with the cat to US however US banned all cats and dogs from Malaysia. THX FOR TAKING THE CAT IN AND TAKE CARE OF HIM!

We brought our aged dog who is fully paralysed to be euthanized. The dr was courteous enough to wait for all the family member to gather. He also played what i believe buddhist prayer chants while the process took place. Although it was heartbreaking for us to go through entire process atleast we were assured that oir max left in peace. Thank you south paws.

Dr Ivan is a very attentive, caring, friendly vet. He's very patient as well, my dog is extra active and couldn't stand still but Dr Ivan and his assistant are very patient and gentle. He will also share tips and knowledge on how to take a better care of our pets. Nurses are all very friendly and helpful too. Price is very reasonable as well. Totally recommend to everyone.

I was recommended by my friend to visit south paws for a neuter surgery for my dog. Before making an appointment, I checked through south paws reviews thoroughly and also see most of the people mentioned that Dr. Ivan is highly experienced and professional to conduct the surgery. Then I rang them for enquiries and appointment, the staff was very friendly and polite. They said I would need to bring my dog for a check up first before the surgery and it’s totally FOC for consultation fee (included in the neuter surgery). During the check up Dr. ivan was very patience, friendly, explaining in detail about my dog’s condition (age, behaviour, health, heart rate, and weight). I do mentioned about my dog happened to have 2 seizures occurred in the past two months. Dr. Ivan then prescribed the best methods to handle my dog & other vaccinations like heart worm (nexgard spectrum is not recommended for dogs with seizures history). Back to the neuter surgery, my 5 yo male dog weights 21.0kg + and the price is around RM300-350. Slightly expensive than some other vets (RM250 - RM280) , some cost RM400-500. but it’s totally worth it for south paws for their professionalism and experience. Dr. Ivan also mentioned to me that he usually had 3-5 neuter surgery a day so he is high experienced in this part. Overall I had a super nice experience with south paws. Even though neuter surgery is a minor surgery but I still do want to ensure I look for the best veterinary in town. Cheers, to all paws owners. 🐾

Dr Ivan is a very patient, compassionate Veterinarian, he will spend time examining our fur babies and give good advice and treatment. Highly recommended and trusted Veterinarian if your fur babies need medical help.

Dr Ivan is very patient, consultation is thorough done to my pet dog. They will NOT purposely charged extra for unnecessary check up or pills.
I reached they late (5.45pm)and they almost wanted to closed (6pm), but the vet still wait for us and closed the door late. The environment is clean too. Define satisfied with their service👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Our first encounter was when we had desperately drove around looking for a vet nearby to assist with our rescued male dog that had gotten into a terrible dog fight with bad wounds. Dr Ivan answered that call, drove over to have a look, then took him in for surgery & observation. Since then, we've brought all our other rescued stray dogs & cats to South Paws for the past 2 years now. Dr Ivan has been exceptionally patient, kind & understanding towards all animals. The staffs are also understanding & caring towards all animals. We would highly recommend this vet for your pets anytime.

Dr. Ivan are gentle and nice. Staff also friendly. All of them is knowledgable and caring. Just done the neuter there and satisfied with Dr's hands work. Price also very reasonable for vaccination, consultation and neuterization. Highly recommended.

Staff is very friendly & helpful!
Doctor is a very careful person which will explain the condition of ur pet in details (as of whether ur pets need to go for what kind of treatment or even is it necessary to have operation & etc.).
The main concern for public which is the price range is also very reasonable.
Overall is a satisfied visit to this vet, recommended! 👍

Due to COVID we haven't been able to return to JB.

Our cat was not cared for by a neighbour properly and she had kidney failure. When she was sent there she was so emancipated and couldn't even walk or move much. Her skin started to milt and fall off risking infection and other complications.

Dr Ivan and team did all they could and gave very sound advice. He prepared us for the worse but never gave up on trying to treat her like she has a chance at surviving.

All thanks to him and his team's love for animals and dedication, she miraculously recovered. She had to be boarded there since we could not bear for her to be cared for by our neighbour anymore.

If not for Southpaw, we really wouldn't know what to do.

Best vet I have ever been, nice friendly vet and staffs, full of love regardless dog or cat, I was amazed by their Malay assist, my baby boy never got settle even hug by me, but in her hand, he calm and quiet like never before.
