Lovely cozy cafe in the heart of Johor Bahru old town. Walked pass by the first day but because the cafe looks charming so came back for the last day. The sourdough was nice with good texture and not too sour. The coffee and cakes are average, but it's the good place for chilling, having brunch/lunch. There are many international menus too. They have a big space in the second floor :)

We read good reviews about this place, and we were not disappointed.
The food was great, everything tasted very fresh.
They have quite a large menu, so we tried their salads and snack and everything was great.
The staff were very nice and the ambience is nice - like having lunch in a junk shop!

Matcha latte is average at best. Matcha powder used seems to be of lower quality. Taste is relatively mild and could be more robust. Didn't really feel the oat milk. Apart from that, the ambience and service is top notch. The environment is quaint and rustic. Great place for dates, but not for tasting coffee.

The ambience is rustic and cozy. The food is unique and well blended. The pastry is good. Definitely a place to come to.

Decided to go here with my friend after they saw recommendations that their handmade sourdough bread was good.

Not gonna lie, it didn’t leave much of an impression on me, though I did remember it being a bit hard to slice or bite down on.

The ‘avocado super’ is kind of what you’d expect, nothing too special, but delicious of course.

The hummus however, was amazing! It was my first time eating hummus and I must say it was a great experience. Usually I’m a huge hater for coriander but I must comment how well the taste blended together. Definitely something I’d recommend trying!

Price is definitely quite worth if you’re a Singaporean visiting the area.

Went in for drinks and dessert
1. Avocado banana smoothies (15rm)
2. Mocha ice blended (14rm)
3. Earl grey lavender (12rm)
10% service charge applicable.

Overall food and drink are quite standard - similar to other cafe. The atmosphere is quite chilled. There's an interesting chandelier made from spectacles. Great place to hang out.

A place with many furniture of different kinds. Many are pretty old but yet it gives that old authentic feeling. Many people enjoy the food and drinks with friends especially loads of Singaporeans are seen here😃

Quiet cafe with a quirky retro/vintage interior. Coffee cream croissant was fragrant and buttery, and along with the salmon avocado toast, made for a satisfying, light breakfast.

Came here for the second time on a Wednesday morning when there aren’t as many customers. There are many different rooms in this whole cafe. Many more seats upstairs as they have the unit next door too. Also have outdoor options but it’s too hot for me outside..

I really enjoy the Mediterranean superfood salad because it’s very refreshing and I feel so healthy eating the huge variety of plants in this one dish. All the different vegetables are already seasoned, on top of the three different dips, so the whole platter is very tasty.

I prefer my tortilla wrap to be dry in the Mexican Breakfast. Should be served separately or where it won’t touch the wet components to become soggy. I also prefer my nachos to be the thicker type instead of these thins ones.

The balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil dip that came with the plain sourdough was nice. A surprising addition to a serving of butter.

Enjoyed the lemon curd yoghurt cake too. I even ate the dried lemon slice that looked so pretty. :) maximum vitamin C benefit :). Avoid the peel if you don’t like bitter taste.

We enjoyed the hainan beef noodles as the noodles are very springy. The beef meatballs with hummus and mushrooms and two slices of sourdough was good too. I would have liked some butter and the vinegar/oil :).

Ordered matcha latte with cow’s milk instead of oat milk as oat milk has more sugar than cow milk. Cheaper by Rm2.

Certainly find the food nice and worth it. But the place looks run down but still good for taking photos. Kinda give off a rustic and old vibes. But a bit of dusty space makes it looks run down..but service and food is definitely worth going. But traffic is pretty bad to get there. So plan ahead if you wanna park nearby

Spent two out of three breakfasts at Flowers In The Window during our JB trip and it honestly might be one of the highlights! The cozy interior, warm ambience and good food options made it the perfect place to kickstart the day.
Their Lotus Chips Salmon Bowl (RM 28) was an absolute winner. It was a variety of different flavours in one dish that paired really well together.

Their Matcha Black Sesame Cake (RM 12), while it caught my eye on the shelf, was a tad disappointed. It leaned towards the dry side, which was a bummer. However it was saved by their Iced Latte (RM 11) which was well-balanced, and a great coffee for the morning.

👍 Solid vibes and atmosphere to chill and take pics for the 'gram. Comfy seats and good ambience.

Food and presentation was 💋 for the camera, but taste-wise everything could've been better...!

☕ Coffee tasted stale as though it's been sitting for weeks (it wasn't sour though, just average) Latte had an identity crisis, not sure if it was milk or coffee. (but I think it was definitely milk)

🥪🐟 The smoked salmon was definitely a gymbro; man was it tough- consistent with the sourdough. Was hard to chew and slightly dry like it was left to sit for hours in the air before serving. Combination of ingredients used for the toast was a good idea but could've been executed better. Sourdough wasn't buttered/toasted, poached egg could've been slightly more runny, salmon could've been fresher/higher quality.

🎂 The equivalent of a IG model caked with makeup- good as eye candy but... Looked amazing, tasted average.

tldr: Good vibes, average food.

Lavender Earl Grey Cake
Iced Latte/Cappuccino

Respectful. Admiring. This would be how my dream cafe look like. Unlikely to fulfill though but truly happy for the founder Huang who has made this space a great place to spend a whole day with. Great entrepreneurship! The space is preserved with its original structure dated back to at least 85+ years ago and with all the retro furnitures and settings, this atmosphere is like a time machine. I like it a lot and definitely mark as one of my favorite spot in Johor Bahru. Creative cuisines. Self-made high quality croissant and sourdough. Well-crafted Flat white and desserts. Definitely a great place to be. Highly recommended.

So good that I have leave a review.
Chicken meatballs are AMAZING. Toast was dry but hummus mixed very well with the chicken meatballs + mushrooms.
Japanese beef bowl 10/10. Beef slices are well cooked, sliced thick so had substantial protein and not tough to chew at all.
19rm each.

Passion fruit drink was 10/10, super refreshing.
Pineapple lemonade was not as refreshing but good too. 15rm each.

Appears to be a rather popular cafe with a good crowd. The decor is really nice and there are truly "flowers in the window", with views of freshly baked sourdough as well. Would highly recommend the matcha and black sesame cake! The flavours pair well and would return just to have this :)

A no-frills rustic cafe, nicely decorated with a homely interior. It has a double volume ceiling, creating a really comfortable dining experience topped with a mixture of different seating styles and arrangement to choose from.

The food is unique with a twist in flavour, almost tasting like it’s rustic aesthetic. Ordered the hummus with meatball and their signature salad for mains- the flavour for the hummus had a nice touch of spice to it, the meat balls were tasty and texture was a bit like sausages. The sour dough was nicely baked and sliced to the right size and was great when eaten alone or dipped into the hummus. The salad was pretty unique too, with a zesty dressing to the whole dish.

Matcha drink was decent, you can really taste the oat milk they used in it. The fried lotus root wasn’t great- it was clearly deep fried and placed aside first, before re-frying it again to serve when we ordered it. It was way too hard and texture was nowhere near crispy.

Overall for food and ambience, not much complains and it is a great place to have a chat with your friends to enjoy a meal together (in style)!

Popped in for a drink & some respite from the hot sun. Enjoyed the watermelon strawberry drink. They've got nice seating areas on the second floor too. Friend had a croissant and mentioned that it had just the right amount of crisp.
