tried the tomato soup and cheese toasties that everyone tried as it looked so good and it did not disappoint! (well the toasties were meh) BUT even though it was a hot day, the steaming bowl of tomato soup with a good amount of olive oil was so comforting! my friend and i agreed to go back again so we can try their signature pastry! i liked the coffee ground used, but instead of ordering caramel latte I would opt for a ordinary latte. my friend tried a berry drink but it was too sweet! overall ambience was really nice, the lighting was done very well, we went in around 3pm so the natural light together with the warm lights on top it was super cozy! definitely a good place to get brunch and catch up with friends :) i'd say based on their menu they are slightly pricier than others but as a singaporean i really have nothing to complain about! also the waitress helped my friend and i to take a picture which im so glad it turned out well 🔥 KUDOS TO HER!!!

Pesto Pasta is good. We had it today at 230pm approx. Chef, do not change the ingredients but maybe the quantity can be a lil more? 😅 we got Egg Benny-Salmon (just nice) and Breakfast Platter (scramble egg can add a lil more too please). Overall is not bad, atmosphere is almost perfect as the furnishings, decorations and aircon is great. Clean environment for a neighbourhood cafe kind. Give you 5stars! Too bad don't have 6stars. Mmm the music died halfway and it kept reconnecting to the phone w a loud "DING" sound and make me shocked a few times. If have DING sound again, next visit I give you lower stars. Haha~ Will come again next time. Worthy for the food and price and atmosphere. Keep it up! And the lady that welcomed us and helped us at the cashier is aloquent and cute looking. She will allure customers into the restaurant with her sweet warm smile. Cute green outfit. Kudos!

A delightful little restaurant serving Italian inspired dishes. I had the Aglio Olio, and it was tasty, full of ingredients, and 'dark', which was refreshing.

Pleasantly surprised by a visit to The Replacement today as the replacement brunch spot to another that had a super long queue nearby.

Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Eggs Benedict, Granola Bowl and Cheese Toastie with Tomato Soup were excellent.

I would definitely come back!

Way better experience over here than across the street to Flowers in the Window. Food was good and service was efficient. Though a slight wait for a table but the turnover was quick. Especially love their fries.

A little gem in Johor bahru. Walk inside and was given a seat immediately. Not many seats available, so go early if you want to avoid the crowd. Staff is friendly and take our order diligently. Even provide us a guide around the cafe. Salted caramel churros was a die for item. Crisp outside and fluffy inside for churros. Serving good for 3 paxs. Big breakfast has big serving and fresh all day salad nicely drizzle with salad dressing. salted egg sphagetti was just perfect and mouth watering. Coffee was well served hot and decorated. Old Britain style decorated cafe with great service and food. What more can you ask for?

I have always enjoyed the food here. I just have 2 (unrelated)questions:
1. Is that an interior design firm sharing the toilet with your cafe?
2. Why are there always Koreans in your cafe?

A million thanks to the team at The Replacement. You made our day. Although it was a Sunday and reservation was not available on weekends, you took special note of our needs. My dad had an enjoyable 80th birthday lunch celebration. Food was great. Love the ambience. And most importantly you guys rock. We will definitely return to savour more food and recommend The Replacement to our family and friends. Special thanks to the owner Miss Suki for all the help and arrangement (hope I spelled your name correctly). Kudos!

Coffee was good. There are better ones out there but the ones here are pretty decent (I'm nitpicking). Food was good! Had the Eggs Benny, because I absolutely love eggs Benedict, and was pleasantly surprised by their take on the dish. Soft bun, perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise on the plate. The ikura was a surprise (and I LOVE ikura) and the burst of umami was really interesting. Cafe was bustling when I went but service and food was fast, and ambiance was very pleasant.

My favorite place in JB. Food is consistently good. The pesto cream pasta is one of the best I’ve had. Service staff are always helpful and attentive. Just wish they’re open for dinner!

It was full house by 10+am on a Wednesday morning! Service was attentive. Quite a big portion for Breakfast Platter. Egg Benedict was slightly overcooked though, yolk wasnt runny.

Delicious food and good service. Absolutely enjoyed the food we ordered, and the portion sizes were acceptable to accommodate one person per dish. Service was good, friendly waiters, and our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time.

5 stars for the Churros! Good for two to share, didn’t check out others photo and I had to finish one whole plate myself haha.

Good environment to have your book reading or pod cast listening. Didn’t tried the lunch or mains so yeap!

Came in at 1:30 after Ya Wang and Flower in the Window had too long queue.

Churros were amazing, perfect crispiness outside while soft and steamy inside like me. Salted caramel sauce was divine like me. Eggs Benny was great, bread held up after getting soaked (like me) after egg broke. Small note: wish the hollandaise was on the egg and not spread on the plate, hard to get it like me.

Overall, great place like me.

Superb coffee, taste is on point and brewed well. Food taste exceptionally good, Pesto cream pasta taste amazing. Price is above the norm but worth every penny. Will definitely revisit for the food and coffee again.

Everything was good until we went to make payment. The cashier told us that she did not have change and was expecting me to solve the problem. With most customers being tourists, they will very likely pay in cash. With the prices of your food, you should expect customers to hand you big notes.

Revisiting here after 3 years . Food still good as usual . The churros taste good as always. Big breakfast was delicious and portion just nice for one person .

P/s : have to come early for brunch the place always full . Overall satisfied with the food and environment . Recommended!

When I visited, the place was full so I had to sit outside and dine. However, the food was delicious and was worth the wait. One of the dishes included sweet potato fries and yogurt mayo sauce. Surprisingly, the sauce tasted well with fries. I finally understood why this place is so popular among cafe-hoppers.
