Citrus Hotel Johor Bahru by Compass Hospitality

Walking distance from JB Sentral, just go through the mall, easy access to many restaurants nearby.
The room is clean and spacious for family. Amenities are also available.
For some, it may be look like an old hotel, but we really enjoy staying here.

Location was great as it is near JB customs. Room is decent with good pillows. Toilet facilities and amenities were good. Service was prompt, polite and courteous. Breakfast is basic, don't expect much.

Less than SGD65 for a quad room 2 double beds for 4 people on Labour Day PH. Was served by Ms Indah so friendly service. Room wasnice, clean & comfortable. Super loved our stay. Beside city square mall & near ciq. Easy 10/10

I give 5 start to appreciate the staffs who has been work very well to serve the guest. I stayed twice in this hotel back in 2015 and 2024.

However hotel facilities and clearness hardly need to be improve. The design is just wrong letting room without window and cover the smell with parfume. Sanitair was broken, reported to the staff but no follow up.

1. A few walks to Jb city square mall. (Go to level 3 and you will direct go to JB CIQ) 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
2. Amenities good and room was well prepared.
3. Breakfast was good.
4. Staff was polite and welcoming. (Hotel lobby is so beautiful)
5. Fast and free wifi provided.
6. Nice mamak restaurant below the hotel.

Cons
1. Problem is parking, no parking for the guest and you must park to another building (per day RM18.00)

Its super close to Johor Bahru Station, so you can get KTB train to Singapore in early morning , the price is super reasonable , near to the night market too
The breakfast is also good, i have roti cane all day .

Budget hotel ...
I stay in family club in one week for holiday in Johor Bahru.
1. Couple steps to JB Sentral Mall.
2. Fourt court in variaty choosing surounding.
3. Room amenities is OK.
4. JB check points is couple minutes in walk, if you want to go to Spore.
5. Breakfast is good.
6. Has no car park.
7. Near to night market.
8. Almost seems Indian Town area in suround.
9. Found Indian men drunk, more over during late of night outside the hotel.
10. Ant way...Will come back...

Great facilities, walking distance to JB checkpoint and wonderful services by all the staff. Special thanks to Jasvin (manager) for all the assistance rended throughout our stay. Also would like to thank the staff at counter (din get her name) for guiding us with directions from checkpoint to Singapore via maps since it was our first time going to SG. Highly recommend this place. Their room service is excellent and super fast. Overall worth every penny here.

Location: Convenient, opposite of citysquare mall.
Rooms: clean and spacious.
Cost: very reasonable
Safety and Security: they chained up the side door so all guest/ visitors could only use the main entrance. That gave me assurance that they are looking out for their hotel guests. #good
F&B around the premise: amazing. Theres the prata place beside the hotel. A mini food street at its back alley with the most amazing lamb satays.

No hesitation in recommending this hotel if you want to stay in Johor Bharu. Close to City Square and JB Sentral. Very suitable if you want to stay overnight and travel to Singapore. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is buffet and delicious. Comfortable room. Our family can upgrade our room for free. Can check in at midnight because our plane landed in Senai close to midnight.

Very strategic location. Near mall, JB Sentral (train and bus station from Singapore). Alot of culinary spot surrounding hotel. My room was large, clean, tidy and comfy with fair price.

Almost get mugged infront of citrus hotel. To my greatest surprise when I ran up and signaled to the security staff on duty. He walked up to the entrance and prevented the incident from happening. Thank you!

Small Hotel, small room, nice staff, the cleanning service lady very kind should give her a raise.

Affordable price, strategic location u can walk to JBS ( JB- Singapore woodland),
many minimarket, restaurants, pharmacy stores, city Square mall ( JBS behind uniqlo 3rd floor),
Pasar karat ( many birds, can take beautiful pics ), near pasar karat (forgot the street name) theres snacks store, berryls chocolate store, good restaurants, good spots to take a pics.

The hotels kinda old, the carpet in the hall way abit humid. but the staff nice & strategic location, i would back to citrus hotel if i go to JB. thank you Citrus :)

met expectations. worth the price. amazing location right next to CIQ. wonderful service by reception working morning/afternoon shift. hotel room was clean. saw some guy complaining about cold aircon in another review haha (there is a control panel for a reason...)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Citrus hotel for a quick one-day trip, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.

Booked a 3D2N stay at the hotel. It's just right beside City Square Mall. Location wise is excellent for those who travel by Woodlands Checkpoint. Booked a Superior Queen Room which is clean. Not really that spacious but enough for 2 people and their luggage. Amenities inside the room are adequate. Do not expect 5 stars services at the hotel. Hotel staff are friendly but don't expect fast service standards too.

Stayed for one night in Citrus and were giving free upgrade to Club room and it was really a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The receptionist was kind enough to offer the room immediately on our arrival even though we were early than the check in time. All the staff was very pleasant and kind. Overall it was a very good experience.

Cannot be compared with the bigger hotels in terms of amenities.
