DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru

I had a two-night stay here this week. The staff were wonderful and helped me so much during my stay. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned and the beds are super comfortable. I slept much more soundly than I normally do. There are gym, spa and swimming pools although I didn't have the chance to use them.

The restaurant is huge and has a range of cuisines that suit many tastes. There is a buffet for breakfast, a buffet lunch, and supper as well as an à la carte menu. There is also a coffee shop with light snacks and cakes.

The airport is about a 45 min journey depending on the traffic and using the Grab app you can pay with credit card. It's very cheap and much quicker than trying to navigate buses, although those are frequent too.

I checked in around 4pm and as a Gold member, was upgraded to an executive floor room which was great. However, I had to rush off for a meeting at 5pm and wouldn't be back till 9pm. The Duty Manager Jason and his colleague Hawa, dropped me a message to check on my experience. I shared that the experience was good but I would not be able to experience the executive floor perks due to my schedule. And guess what they did? It was amazing. Refer to my pics.

During my business stay at this hotel, I was impressed by the exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient amenities provided. Check-in was seamless, and we were delighted with delicious cookies, even snagging some free popcorn in the evening.

The breakfast selection is among the best, offering a wide array of choices, and the executive lounge doesn't disappoint either. The staff is consistently welcoming and friendly.

While the rooms are clean, their size is somewhat limited.

The location is perfect for easy highway access, which I particularly appreciate.

As a Diamond member, it seems increasingly difficult to get upgraded to suites. Although I was moved to the executive floor, Diamond membership already includes access to the executive lounge. I would have preferred a room with a large sofa and bathtub over the executive floor rooms.

Stayed for 2 nights in a King room. Service was excellent and location was good. The room is spacious enough but cleanliness in certain areas can be improved. Shower design was a bit flawed resulting in a wet floor every time after showering. Breakfast selection is huge but taste is average. Overall, it was great value for money.

Stayed for a night here, rooms were a little outdated , but cozy nonetheless. Rooms and bathrooms are clean which is a must for me and my family. Overall service by the staff is good and as expected of a hotel of this stature. Ordered room service breakfast , portions are huge and worth it for the price you pay, as the taste is also good 👍🏽

A good choice for your biz trip.
There are many Universal electric sockets for your laptop and chargers.
King size bed with lots of choices for pillow.
Breakfast with various of cuisine from China, India and local. You can get fresh juice from a huge fruit counter.
Nearby area is full of shopping mall, I personally prefer more options for local foodcort.

Spent one night at the hotel and the rooms were big enough for 3 adults. They even added one extra bed to the room (which is probably unnecessary as the twin double bed was big enough for 4 people actually). The room temperature was stuck at 18 degrees and no matter what we did with the thermostat, it never went up.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. The spread was huge with Indian, Chinese, Malay and Western food available. One of the better breakfast spread.

We went to Johor with our electric car and the availability of AC charging at the basement parking was excellent. I wished it was higher than 3.7kW charger but at least I get to top up a bit of charge for the car. A 7kW charger upgrade would be most welcomed.

A few minutes walk from Johore Customs and shopping malls, away from the noisy busy streets... a hidden gem.

Service is attentive and rooms are delicately designed with a touch of class and comfort.

The check-in welcome cookies are utterly delicious and still warm.

My favourite hotel in Johor. Hotel is very well kept and serves a good selection at breakfast. The welcome cookie is awesome, and yes they now give out cookie vouchers when they are out of it so you can go grab it when it is warm! Location is good because it is walking distance to malls. Crabtree and Evelyn bath products reminds me of the Hilton standard. EV charger is complimentary for hotel guests.

Was pleasantly surprised that there was available room on Christmas Eve and we could check in immediately at around noon time. They even gave us a cookie at check in!

Room size was decent, with basic amenities in the room. Room was also clean and well maintained. Hotel has swimming pool and gym facilities accessible 24hrs. Also like the fact that carpark was guarded and well lit, feel safe to park the car.

Only downside was that hotel was not located near shopping malls or only few eateries nearby. Otherwise, staff was friendly and helpful, will definitely consider to stay here in future!

Enjoyed my short stay here. Booked my visit through Agoda, and everything was settled (including the tourist tax) The check-in was seamless. Do note you need to put a $150 deposit or your credit card, so be sure to bring more cash if you dont have a CC. Hotel lobby was organised and staff were pleasant. Looked forward to the welcome cookie due to many positive reviews, which did not disappoint as we were served with warm and delicious cookies. My package included the breakfast buffet from Makan Kitchen, and we were able to choose from many different cuisines. The staff handling the Kluang coffee and teh tarik (Ahmad) was very friendly.

There's a gym, jacuzzi, one 1.2m pool and 0.45m pool for you to chill. Careline was also very responsive. Environment is clean and nice. Staff is full of energy and it made the experience a good one. Will come here.

It's walking distance from JB Sentral but the roads were quite rough. especially in the afternoon, it's really quite hot otw there and abit too near to take grab also 😂😂 so need to hold umbrella.

The hotel was quiet and tranquil. There were not many people during check in and check out. The Executive Longue has a nice ambiance to relax and with some food and soulful music. However, we did have problems contacting the front desk through the room phones. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are going to JB for a staycation.

Really amazing. Staffs are all friendly and polite. Room is clean, comfortable and quiet for sleeping. Breakfast is good except that roti prata is pre made and was super hard when I took one. Not edible.
Chef Zyreen is superb friendly helpful and caring, really like his service.
Everything is perfect.

I haven't checked in yet, but I must give a huge compliment to Jermine from customer service is great and helpful - my booking date was wrong by some glitches, and she has been really helpful and calm on the line to get the issue sorted out!

Stayed here during Mar Hols 2024 as a family
of 4 (2A + 2C).

Really lovely experience in general.

- Convenient basement carpark with well maintained flooring and demarcated lines (free parking after validating parking ticket with lobby)
- Easy access to lobby via elevator
- Room was comfortable
- Drive to Legoland was 20m in the day (quite fast actually!)
- Free cookies given at check-in haha
- Area around hotel is not crowded (and there is a small minimart just across the road)

We didn’t try the restaurant as we ate outside for meals.

No major gripes. Only small issue was that the driving route back routed us through a quiet estate which was slightly alarming but all was good.

Overall, definitely a good choice to return to! Prices are higher during the school holidays sadly but expected.

*I prefer this way better than Hyatt Place due to the super annoying multi-storey carpark!

So far we are satisfied with the stay. The deluxe King room is big with standard stuff that luxury hotel should have, eg. Ironing board, fresh water in glass bottle etc.

If you are vegan, they do have some good option. The breakfast spread is quite a deal.

Lastly, this is Hilton brand hotel, do not forget to get a complimentary Hilton cookies!

Had the pleasure of staying at DoubleTree by Hilton for a day.

My friends and I had the Buffet, partook in the poolside services and paid for whole body massages.

We were all pleasantly surprised by the welcome, service and amazing food we received. Would definitely go again.

It is the best hotel in JB and my go-to place whenever I’m here. There’s everything to like about the hotel - location is quiet and yet convenient to food places and shops, the service is excellent and rooms are clean and large. Wonderful swimming pool and gym complete the picture. Service standards are high and the breakfast buffet rivals those of some hotels in Singapore.

Had a lovely 3D2N stay to celebrate my spouse's birthday. Did the online checked in prior to arrival. DoubleTree had made a lovely surprise for my spouse by providing a simple deco, cake and birthday card. We really appreciate the efforts. Overall, the hotel is kid-friendly with kids pool, kids play area at dining. They also offered some kids activities that we did not had time to indulge in.
