Berjaya Waterfront Hotel, Johor Bahru

The location is good, there is a ferry port to Indonesia. The interior of hotel looks well maintained and classy. However, the room interior still needs maintenance which still remain classic, old style and some hardware are old.

The service staff were excellent be it room service, hotel concierge or bell boy performed their tasks to the best. Dilnath provided exceptional service with assisting us in our packing and helping us move our belongings. Kamal was very friendly and helpful. The major issue was with the hotel rooms which were old and the bathroom utilities were not working. To add on the breakfast (sahur) was very poor. Other than that everything was exceptional.

So far my family happy come this hotel because they good service especially with front desk staff, security staff, very helping and nice.. good environment and have a good room and food.. hope can come again and enjoy the momment.

Value for money for a layover overnight stay that's for sure.

Your staff delighted me for being friendly & plesant in general. Front Desk staff Mr Shawin & Ms Fatiha (my apology if i butchered the spelling of their names) deserve my personal mention ! I have had a short delightful conversation with both while my chk/in & chk/out being processed.

My room 1313 was alright. Nice view, nicely done with Fresh sheets & Bath towels upon checkin. .....but (probably just my ill fortune that) the room air con didnt work well even at high speed and set at 16 deg. I couldn't get a quick a/c cool comfort especially after comming back from outside with 33-35deg that day. My apology to Housekeeping staff that had to clean my room toilet after I checked out. They were very wet bcos I failed to make request for a floor matt. I only noticed the room phone hidden below my carry on bag on the writing table the next day when i leave the room to check out.. I assumed no phones provided in the room. My bad.

I will definitely make a layover stay again at your hotel when I got the craving for a seafood meal next time!

PS: the wifi seemed to work ok with me during my stay. Why then it got negative reviews here? Im happy with my connection,

Staff Mr Ganesh was very polite upon checking in at car park 6C. Very friendly & helpful with direction & carrying of baggage.

Front counter staff Nashar (if I spelled correctly..) was accommodative too for change of room to higher floor (hardly hear disco loud music).

Pros & Cons :-
- Take note when u r about to drive up multi storey car park to hotel, the MSCP entrance is Jz beside L1, 7-11. This is the correct car park access to hotel at L6.
- Once at L6, It is a long walk @5mins to hotel lift to L1 for check in.
- To enjoy free parking prior each exit, driver will hv to go down to hotel lobby L1 with ur T&G card to scan/computerise. I think hotel may consider register guest’s T&G card for convenience sake.
- Also, v inconvenient for drivers to drive few levels up to hotel car park level. Nonetheless, u may park at L3 which is meant for the ferry terminal but not guarded. Only L6 there r Hotel staff deployed at carpark.
- Too many “mini” road hump & really irritating & disruptive for drivers.
- Hotel room no.02 to 16 r facing sea view (Sg & rail construction).
- The Ferry Terminal entrance parking charges is RM5/1st hour, once u entered & exit within mins which happens to me as I went to wrong car park.
- When driving out from MSCP, u need to route to “Ferry Terminal Custom check” to exit which I need it’s inconvenient for drivers as we r the guest in this hotel. Custom will ask qns & check booths..
- Morning buffet is at L6 with seas view a decent meal before set off for walk/shopping.
- Hotel room is spacial & cozy.
- L15xx room is clean during my stay.
- Overall experience is good in my personal perspective.

Good for relaxing, for drinker also hv duty free drinks but not for us. Staff at restaurants is kind with special order on vegetarian mixed fry, Other staff also all very well train staff, clean environment.

It was a nice stay here. The hotel is a bit old. But is clean and spacious. Very friendly staff. Jeevitha was very accommodating. Great view, have bathtubs is most rooms. Will visit again.

Is such a wonderful hotel, it’s located within city area just across viewing Singapore. It’s inside the duty free zone, we can buy tobacco and liquor product at very low price. There’s a ferry port we can easily access to Batam Island. There’s many more advantages of this hotel, you may find out yourself.

Security very firm and friendly. Show their professionalism in their duties. Great management to employed them as their staff. Good job well done.

The pool facilities is very good however there is no towel provided. Other than that all is fine and the kids really like it. The staffs is friendly and easy to communicate too. Thank you

Attentive, friendly and helpful staff from receptionists, housekeeping, concierge, restaurant and even parking staff (thxs Jiwan for minding our car and helping us around the parking area). Quite old hotel but almost all facilities in the room are working except for the ventilation. It definitely needs to be ungraded or improved. Location is a bit away from the city centre. A bit cumbersome when having to go through custom checkpoint due to the special status of the area but it is a quick process. Duty free shops are in the same building. Only bath towels and not hand towels are provided unless you stay on the executive floor. I find this policy strange and unhygienic.
Parking is free but only on the multi levels garage. The room rates are reasonable.

We had excellent experience with our 3 nights stay at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel. Before check-in, I rang the front-desk to request for connection rooms, as my elderly parents were following me.

During check in, the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, they remembered my request and specially allocated a connection room suitable for elderly,.

We were very happy and felt like home during our stay. I will definitely come again. Special thanks to Miss Angeli and her manager Mr Saiful.

“A wonderful hotel and five-star service. Excellent staff. The room cleaning service is excellent and the Italian restaurant is excellent. They have pizza and the reception is at the level of five stars and above. I had a reservation for a superior room. The room was upgraded to deluxe. I thank for his hotel style and good experience.” I enjoyed ☺

Strategic location. Many restaurants near hotel. Condition of room was good, except the carpet looks quite dirty. Service was good, all the staffs very nice and friendly.

Overall facility is good. Staff are courteous. Only problem is the lift to the Lobby and going up the stairs is a big issue for older people with luggage.
Luckily security personnel is very helpful in carrying the luggage up and down to the lift level.

Very good choice for choosing this hotel for stay. The security staff name Bimal & Jiwan really help us from top until end. Until we meet Ms Fatihah at reception for ask more enquiries. She really explain in details with good smile. All staff here really good and kind. Our room 1548 and 1553 the accommodation really good and fine. I hope i will stay here again.

I recommend parking at level 3A. Hotel is at 6A-6D which is way too high. Would take about about 10 minutes to go in and out of the parking. Parking 3A is also easier because there is a ramp so it's easier to push stroller, wheelchair or luggage. But it would also beeven better if u drop off at the lobby first so that the bell boy can carry all ur luggage for u bfore u park at 3A.
