Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel

We had such a lovely time at The Renaissance. Warmly welcomed by receptionist Aiman. Room was very modern and spacious, lovely sleep. Breakfast was good too, many local delights.

The surrounding of the hotel has many food and massage places. Very self sufficient . This hotel is about a short grab away form CIQ and rest of the malls.

A very nice hotel, more toward luxury. A best getaway and surrounding has lot of eatery and shop plus massage. The only issue is the room has many 3 pin plug but no USB.

Very good, clean, spacious. There are a lot of eateries, massage, convenient shops, fruits stall etc etc. Hot water from late night after 10pm till next day early morning may be turn off. Takes more than 5 minutes to have hot water, hot enough to take shower (without mix with cold water). It provides welcome drinks and desserts on arrival

Stayed at this hotel during work trip. Room was great and spacious. Breakfast was also tasty. Only that I don’t favor the bathroom design as there is curtains you can easily open from the room side. Not sure what’s the rational of this design.

Prior to staying at this hotel, I requested for a complimentary room decoration and cake for my anniversary and they delivered! 🥰

Everything about our stay was perfect - Staff were very polite and friendly, they’re always all smiles. Hotel feels premium and everything is well-organised. I made 3 special requests and all were fulfilled. This hotel knows exactly what they’re doing and they only do it their best. Highly recommend to everyone!

The hotel service is nice! Able to chill and rest to recharge. The pool is not crowded, so we are able to enjoy swimming in the early morning. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of delicious Malaysia food and conveniently reachable by walking.

Very pleasant experience, worth the price paid. Seamless check in. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Breakfast spread was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Breakfast is also until 10.30 which is nice, and they don’t rush you.

The buffet lunch made me feel quite recognized and valued. Thank you very much. All the staff there were more friendly and excellent service during my daughter Birthday party. Thank you so much for great service. Mr. Parthiban / Mr. Raj is a great man, and he is more helpful persons.

Had an awesome stay here. Many thanks to the front reception staff, including Aliyah and Shamini, and the Executive Lounge staff for making our stay a pleasant one. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Kudos to a great team.

Hotel is one of the best for its 5 star, luxury and service. Room is decent size… toiletries are quality items. View is not bad, unblock view. Pool is good and nice ambience. Got Chinese restaurant, bar and etc. Location with lotsa food around too if no hotel food craving and bangkok family spa open till late. After 12mn not much shops happening around. Quite a distance from customs and jb city center. Bout 10 min drive.

Spent a few days here and had a great experience overall.
Friendly and helpful staff & food was delicious (maybe the creme brulee could be better- it was eggy).

The surrounding area does have some options available but if you're looking at a convenient location to malls this isn't the place for you.
Loved the peace and quiet we had while staying here.

The only thing I could say was a little upsetting when housekeeping came into our room despite us not asking for it. We were quite shocked to see someone inside as we were heading back.

This hotel have the best breakfast buffet together with nice room. My team held programme here for our students and it is well lit and comfortable. Recommend everyone here to stay when in JB

Renaissance JB is definitely a premium hotel. From the impeccably clean and well maintained rooms to the executive lounge, large windows fill the whole hotel with natural light, so these spaces feel airy and spacious. The evening spread in the executive lounge and buffet breakfast at the cafe are impressive, in terms of variety as well as quality. The staff is always kind and attentive. While its location isn’t close to a mall (the closest being Southkey, an easy 10-minute Grab-ride away), I have, over several stays, started to explore the shops in the vicinity and find a few of the eateries interesting. Overall, this has been a very pleasant stay, one which offered the space I needed to unwind and catch my breath. I find that each time I check-out, I make a mental note to come back more often.

Always stay here whenever I need to stay a night in JB. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the air conditioning is very powerful. Always great for a night’s stay. The breakfast spread is really nice, with an extensive array of options. The staff here is also very friendly, and really helpful as well. The hotel however, is located quite a distance away from big shopping malls like Tebrau City and Mid Valley. However world highly recommend this hotel to those who are here for a night, or for business travellers.

Checked in to a huge and spacious room. Bed was comfortable, and I was reluctant to get out of bed in morning.
Shower pressure was good, water temperature was also just right for the rainy weather

Stayed one night with my wife in December 2023. Was pleasantly surprised! Rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. Views from the lounge were great too! High recommended for anyone looking to visit JB city centre!

A 5 stars hotel by the Marriott Group at Permas Jaya area. Now equipped with 22kW EV chargers outside the hotel. Hotel was pretty crowded during buka puasa period.

At Wan Li Chinese Restaurant in the Renaissance Hotel Johor Bahru, I was treated to an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight for me was the Peng Cai, a dish rich in flavor and tradition, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, complemented by stellar service from the staff. Every aspect of my visit made me feel valued and satisfied, affirming Wan Li as a top choice for those in search of authentic, high-quality Chinese cuisine.

Totally enjoyed my stay at Renaissance JB, unfortunately it was only for a night. The service was impeccable and staff were friendly and always willing to help. The room, toilet and bedsheets were clean. Oh I love their Argus Bath Lotion and Shampoo. Very invigorating. Their restaurant served good food and it was decently priced, followed by good service. Not to forget the small little homely pub, good place to chill and relax. Overall, it felt like a home away from home.

One of the best JB hotels I've stayed at so far. Very impressed by the roti canai station with curries, dhal and sambal. Room was very comfortable. Overall, great stay. 10/10 hotel facilities & amenities + f&b options around the hotel + quick 5-10mins drive to southkey for shopping and more f&b.
