Damai Beach Resort, Santubong, Sarawak.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We went at the end if the season so it has very few guests. Rooms were clean, comfortable and large. Pools were cleaned daily and beach was just a short walk away and although we were often the only people on it a lifeguard always appeared. The sea was warmer than the pool! Convenience shop in hotel selling snacks, souvenirs and clothing. There is a free, on demand, shuttle to the clifftop pool. The Beach bar rekindled my love of "mudslides" Would happily revisit.

The hotel's location is wonderful. The best Hilltop block is 15, this is the farthest from lobby, it is the quietest, not hearing the noise from central air conditioning unit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was ok, but the hotel definitely needs a partial restoration.Here are no Grab cars, so going to Kuching costs 100-150 MYR in one direction.

Stayed one night at Bidayuh Baruk Suite (hilltop). We booked 2 units and we were able to have both units arranged side by side. The beach view and wave sound from our balcony was unbelievable. It was so breath taking. I just couldnt believe as a local Kuching, we can have such view with amount of money we spent.

Of course, there were normal wear and tear at their facilities. Well, it has been more than 30 years now. I didn't expect a very modern, luxurious and stylish staycation experience.

From check in, it was a very seamless experience. At main gate, our names were printed out and the security acknowledged our booking. The receiptionist who process our checked in deserve a raise! (Young female, black scarf, 1pm, 30th December - dear front desk manager, if you read this, please praise her).

The distance from our unit to hilltop poolside was very near. Its a decent pool. Then we went to the beach descending the stairs. Our children enjoy the sand and beach.

Shuttle were easily available. Driver were very helpful explaining to us what to do and some history of Damai resort.

If your looking for weekend getaway, peaceful and beautiful view, I strongly recommend you to try the hilltop units. If you're looking for modern and top notch vacation experience, Damai Beach Resort is not for you.

Amazing experience to stay here. Overall it is okay. The ambient was so nice. And the sea view was amazing too. The food served at the restaurant was good also although it was expensive. But worth your money. This is just my review.

Such an amaaaazing stay! 3 days & 2 nights is not enough.
Staffs are super friendly. Rooms are clean & comfy.
Mr jimmy and the whole Cafe Satang crew, Mr mukhris (brought my mother rounding the area using the electric bike), Mr Fathi (front office), and all the receptionists also the ones doing our reservation, Ms Nilam. Not forgetting the housekeeping staffs, everyone is nice & friendly.

My mom is using a wheelchair, they provided and helped us alot with that. All the staffs are always ready with a warm welcoming smile. Made me feel like home.

I have always loooved damai beach resort. It has always been my favourite childhood resort to go. My family & i love it! Its so nice to come back after so long.

The room is for 2 adults and 2 kids. But they only provide 2 towels. I did call the reception,they said it's a policy. Please be reasonable on this matter because if the room mentioned for 4 persons then should provide 4 towels.

Breakfast also only for 2 pax. Egg & mee kolok/laksa Sarawak kiosk's very slow. But the person incharge is really good and very responsible. They need to assign more person at this kiosk.

The food & beverages for Breakfast & dinner (buffet) is really good.

Overall, I like this place because the environment is really awesome. We did enjoy the ATV ride at the beach. The scenery is great especially The Santubong's Mountain.

Great view. Rooms are clean and comfy. Between the building access we can use shuttle, which was good. But the service kinda slow especially for checkin, me and my big family had to wait for 1 hour pass (until 4.30 p.m) for the rooms ready.

For those who are looking for place for family day and activities, can go here for vacay. nice and fresh air around here.

The room is very comfortable, The beach is very beautiful too. Nice spot to bring your family to see good scenery and peaceful surrounding.

Even after MCO, the place is putting effort to bring back the resort to its former glory, and it is even better now. hospitality is great and i just don't want to leave even though my stay has ended.

Room are nice except for not enough lighting and breakfast was awesome with so many variety of choices. Beach is clean and the sunset is pretty. No sun rise here as the sun is shaded by mount Santubong. The security are strict with number of occupant and visitors. Swimming pool are cleaned in the evening I was there.

They have very strict security which request us to write down the number of people who stay and visitors in the car. View is very nice and beautiful but limited place to eat inside the resort.
Room lighting is very dark, maybe I am not used to it. Overall great place to visit.

View Laut Cina Selatan sgt cantik. And staffs there are very friendly. A lot of events also held in this area.

A hidden paradise, easily surpass many other popular holiday sites around the world. Unknown spot to relax with family. We had to rent a car to get here. A long windy road from Kuching but not too far only about 50 minutes drive.

Booked chalet room. The resort has very strict policy for bringing outside food and make sure you do not create a big mess in the room or they will charge you. It is definitely Value for money . The view was great too. I like the Queen size bed. Very soft and nice

The best place to go and get yourself a quick (or long) getaway from the city life. From the breeze of the sea to the the chillness of the mountain and the overall environment of the place, it's a great place to bring your kids too as they provide swimming pools for the lobby side and the Hilltop residence side. Just don't go during the monsoon/typhoon season 🤣🤣

Had our office team building recently. To be honest, I haven't been to Damai Beach for almost 20 years, this was a breathtaking trip. The located is close and guarded whicj is goood for security and safety. Great atmosphere have vacation alone or with company. They have few activities vat the beach such as cycling, motor sport and scooter (with price and fic time duration). The location of my room os quite near to main building, which is very convenient. Can go for strolling at the beach while observing sunrise and sunset. If your room is further away, they have shuttles to drive from room to main building especially when you ahve alot of luggage, senior citizens, kids and pregnant family or friends.
