My always favourite place when i am at the airport KLIA2. Love all the puff here as all are fresh from oven. Fall in ❤ with Ban Heang Assam Laksa Puff. The puff filling is so aromatic with chunk fish mix with laksa paste. Cant describe the happiness of having it. Not to forget the Durian Salted Egg, Salted Egg Pastry and Kaya Puff. They served combo breakfast at only RM6.50. Ban Heang is located at KLIA2, Genting Highland and in Penang Airport. Make sure you guys try it . Worth the drooling saliva !!

We were surprised when we saw there was a Ban Heang outlet in KLIA 2 since we have not been to the airport after many years.

Before this we had tried the Ban Heang tau sa piah from the Penang outlet and we felt that it wasn't the best tau sa piah in Penang. But what made us stopped by this shop was the naked pastries sold in front of the shop. There were some pastries which we had never seen in the Penang outlet before. Hence, we decided to buy a few of them to try.

The pastries we bought were Pandan Salted Egg, Durian Salted Egg and Chicken Floss Pandan. Out of our surprise, they taste awesome! We love the Pandan paste of the pastries, it is not too sweet, the Pandan aroma is fragrant and doesn't covered by its sweetness. The skin of the pastries is crispy.

The durian paste has durian flesh, but it's a bit too sweet and we can taste there is durian flavouring being added. We prefer the Pandan flavoured pastries compared to the Durian one.

The staff are very friendly and polite. They answered our enquiries with patience and catered to our requests of using our own container to pack the pastries. Many thanks to them for allowing customers to do so, as this helps reduce waste and is more eco-friendly.

Convenient for buying Penang pastries as souvenirs en route to departure. Kaya puff, pandan salted egg pastry, and chicken char siu pau were all excellent and kept well even after a couple days. The staff there helped to explain which could be kept for how long. (The gentleman kindly mentioned curry puff was highly recommended, but wouldn't be so good overnight.)
Other staff promoted various products but we made our intention clear that we just needed some pastries.
There are many nice options in the lower levels of KLIA2 that visitors may miss when rushing for departing flights on Level 3.

Their tambun biscuits used to be quite decent when i bought it few years back but the recent purchase was really a disappointment. The quality now is terrible. The bean paste filling is “superdry” and lumpy while the pastry skin is thick and uneven. So embarrassing to give this as souvenir to friends…

Worst kaya puff and polo bun I tasted ever. It’s so expensive but the portion is so small especially the kaya puff. Really won’t recommend anyone to come here
