Highly recommended this place if you are looking for a place to spend the day with your toddler or love one. It’s a completely different experience compared to the zoo. Here you get to interact with the farm animals, pet them, feed them, and more. My 3 years old had a great time and ask to go back next week.

I wasn't expecting much when I arrived at the parking area. No research on the place was done as it was a last-minute decision by my son and his wife. We were planning to visit Colmar Tropicale, but the traffic situation was just so bad leading to the Gombak toll plaza. However, rest assured, I think it was a very good decision.

We arrived just before 10AM. The parking area was full. We had to park across the road in a secured parking site. We didn't want to park by the roadside like many others.

The entrance fee for 3 adults and one child under 90cm tall was RM117. The child got in for free. This was the walk-in rate. Upon entering the enclosed area, we were greeted by a friendly but noisy goose. It was standing on steps just by the entrance. Then, a parade of giant tortoises slowly made its way around the open area. Some were bigger than my grandchild.

As you walked further into the farm, the lush greenery provides enough shade from the sun. Although the humidity may be too high for some. Wear light clothing and make sure you are sufficiently hydrated. The smell, the heat, and the humidity will be unbearable to some people. There are some areas where large industrial fans are provided for some respite. Covered seating areas are provided, too.

Among the fauna found in the farm are various types of ducks, including mallards; huge Brahma chicken with feathered feet, peacocks, pheasants, parakeets; several types of lizards, including a desert gecko and chameleons; snakes; hamsters; raccoons, meerkat, donkeys, goats, pygmy buffalo, deer, horses and many more. There is even a small ditch that children are allowed to catch fish using small nets. At the very end, after exiting the enclosed farm area, there is a restaurant, a gift centre and a visitors' learning centre.

In summary, it is a beautiful place to enjoy a morning with family, especially when you have young kids who love animals.

Recommended! Having a great day experienced this moment . A nice beautiful Petting farm with a clean ambiance. Surprisingly there are so many tame animals, we can touch and feeding them. All animals look healthy. Their employees are very friendly sharing knowledge to us and very welcoming. Do not forget to bring mini portable fan.

Brought my 4 monkiessss here to visit other animals 😆 we took our own sweet time to walk around n interacted with any animals we can, due to weekdays there weren't many tourists. 1 thing is, u gotta prepare some cash to buy treats for the animals. Well trained staffs were there to explain n guide u proper ways to pet/feed the animals! all of us had great fun time here!

Came on a Sunday mid morning. Firstly, we parked quite far because the parking inside was already full. Parking is quite limited, and MRT Putra Permai is like a 10 minute walk to farm in the city. Next time, we will probably come here using MRT.

We bought tickets via walk in and before us there was no queue. After us, several people were waiting to buy tickets, but it did not take long to queue. What I like about this farm is that you can interact with a lot of animals here, and not many zoos offer this. We can even feed certain animals but must pay RM10 for the food, which I think is totally worth it especially when you go meet the goats and sheep; they are very wild and high spirited. They will chase you for food so be cautious.

On top of that, you can also take pictures with birds, snakes, racoons etc. Pony rides are available at specific times. Moreover, there are quizzes that the kids can do to earn themselves a certificate that they can claim at the Rangers Outpost. Not to forget, cafes and gift shops are also available. Furthermore, there is a new multipurpose hall that companies or families may book to host events like birthdays and company dinner and so forth. Overall, I highly recommend that families come here.

One of the best petting farms in town. A bit pricey but worth it. My son enjoyed being in here. Not too crowded although we went during the weekend. Parking space is limited, but still can park on the side of the road or shops lot area nearby.

Animals are very well taken cared off and the caregivers seems to really enjoy their job ! All smiling and happy to tell us about animals and how to enjoy our time with them !
Thanks a lot!!

Nice place nearby the city with quite a lot of animals for children to see, play and touch. Place is clean and quite interesting even for adults like myself. My kid enjoyed his time there. Would come back again when my kid gets a little older and understand animals more. It was quite educational for children to learn about animals apart from learning from books or video.

Farm in the City is a hidden gem and a great place for family outings.

Place
The place is well maintained. It consists mainly of outdoor pathways that are nicely protected by trees from direct sunlight. However, it does get wet when it rains so come with your umbrella / poncho if you are visiting during the rainy season. Also, since it is surrounded by tress and water, it could get really humid. Bring along a portable fan and have some water handy.
Animals
The bird cage is a delight and contain various species of bird in one place. Other animal enclosures allow visitors to feed the animals. You could get swarmed by animals wanting food if enter there while flaunting the food you have so please be mindful.
People:
The uncle in the bird enclosure is super nice. He will help you get the birds’ attention. Other support staff are helpful too.
Food:
There is one makan spot inside. They generally only serve drinks and ice cream. Don’t expect solid food as out of the two times (one weekday and one weekend)I went there, none of the snacks advertised were available. So best to go there after a meal. You can find food outside the Farm area.
Timing:
Wasn’t busy on weekday but could be if a big group arrives for school excursions.
Ticket:
Free for kids below the height of 90cm.
Accessibility:
Generally stroller friendly, and potentially wheelchair too. Some walkways have rough surfaces with groves to allow water to flow. These sides are harder to manoeuvre but doable.
Overall, it is a worthwhile experience and I would go there again. Personally I prefer this Farm than the zoo.

The ticket is bit expensive but still affordable. A lot of rare animals that is not found here in Malaysia. Worth to come with your kids.

I absolutely love this place. It was my second visit. Employees there are polite, helpful and always aware of surroundings. The enclosure areas are very clean. Interaction with animals are the best. Good place for kids and animal lovers but please monitor your toddlers because kids in general get very excited and might behave such a way for an animal to get hyper. I witnessed something like that but the mum & employee was super quick, if not the kid would have gotten packed by a chicken 😅

All the staff are so friendly and kind to the animals and human visitors! Seeing them play with the animals and also entertain us with facts and food to attract them to us, so we can interact and take photo with them! As I really like animals and have done my research about flash photography, I knew that the power output of a flash shouldn't have a (negative) effect on animals in bright daylight (unless the are frightened by it). Sunlight is easily 100x more powerful, and animals eyes are hardy! Imaging lightning flashes in the wild, lighting up the whole jungle, or through a window and lighting up our room! Anyway, just want to say how kind they are to remind me that no flash is to be used ahaha, without getting impatient ahaha. Sorry for pushing the boundaries, but the harsh sunlight is really creating bad shadows :P but they just try to remind me again and again, sorryyyyy 😂

Before leaving, rain started. Was sitting down for 20 mins when the staff in the office came out, offering an umbrella!! Was charging my phone while taking a break, so am okay to wait!

Definitely 10 stars services!

You don't really have to buy any food to interact with them, but if you can afford to contribute, do help pay for their staff by buying the food for the animals, and for yourself! Food and snacks is definitely not cheap, and same for running a farm/zoo to take care of so many animals. There's so many humans working in here too, and they will need a pay as well. Thankful that they are keeping the price affordable for such a interactive zoo, for Malaysians and a slightly higher cost for visitors.

Most of the bigger animals are freely roaming around, it's good for kids to have a first experience interacting with them.

Till the next time I bring my friends over, highly recommended :)

It was the raccoon experience that made it unforgettable for me. They were so gentle and cute. Do not expect to see a lot of animals.

Great family day out. No queues and really quiet. Very interactive. Not a huge place either so not too tiring for younger kids walking. We were there for about 2 hours and that included a stop for lunch/drink. Staff are great . Was such a great day. And better than a zoo!. For context we are from Australia and the animals were a good selection, not just farm animals but not large animals either except the a cow and buffalo but a good selection of different types of animals
