The food was awesome, we went for truffle fries, big breakfast and angus beef bagel. We ordered burnt cheesecake but it’s an average. Overall, the place is located in an industrial place but it’s a cozy plant haven for foodies. Food served really fast and we enjoyed our meal and atmosphere there.

A Dreamy Haven for Bagel, Sourdough, and Coffee Lovers ✨😍
Forget your cramped, noisy cafes, because the Founders cafe is a breath of fresh air (and deliciousness)! Stepping into this spacious haven, you're immediately greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread and the warmth of friendly smiles from the staff. Whether you're catching up with friends, working remotely, or simply seeking a quiet moment for yourself, this cafe has the perfect ambiance. For the Beef bagel, the bagel is perfectly chewy, lightly toasted, and loaded with fragrant sesame seed. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes, leaving me wanting more. Best combo with a cup of coffee. ✨😍Highly recommended

This cafe is an easy 5-star rating from me. The taste of their food and drinks, as well as the atmosphere of the cafe were outstanding. The prices were reasonable too. I'd visit again next time and recommend others to give it a try if you're in JB

If I have to point out something, I'd say that they shouldn't have given my "extra top-up of sunny side egg" immediately from the start, like 15 minutes before the main dishes even arrived. That just makes the egg stand there and cool down unnecessarily because I'm assuming most people would top up the egg to eat together with the main dish, and not by itself

i forgot the prices but i think the cashew pesto pasta and quesadilla were rm27.50 each and both dishes were sooooo good! the quesadilla had tom yum scrambled egg inside and it was rly rly delicious, the tom yum flavour comes through so well and it went rly well w the sauce they used. the whole thing was v creamy and tasted amazing 🤤🤤🤤

the cashew pesto pasta tasted vvvv nice as well. the sauce was p thick bc of the cashew and coated every piece of pasta v well. the pesto flavour was strong too so the entire dish was super tasty. the chicken was tender and well-seasoned

i didn’t get to try the smoked salmon bagel but it looked good too

def coming back to this cafe if i’m in jb again!! we wanted to try their wild mushroom risotto as well but it was sold out :( everything on their menu looks rly promising though hopefully i get to come back hehe and rly affordable prices compared to sg cafes too. the cafe itself was rly pretty and vibey as well. my favourite stop of the entire trip

This cafe offers a lovely ambiance and a diverse menu.
The bagels and quesadillas are standout options, but unfortunately, the Thai pasta fell short of expectations. Don’t miss out on the aromatic experience of their coffee selection!

Fantastic bistro cafe! The 150gm australian beef bagel is a savoury delight, perfectly seasoned and super filling. Pair it with their refreshing iced latte for a delightful combo. Coffee is great! Airy and cosy atmosphere, friendly staffs – kids friendly - a go-to spot for a delicious meal and get together with friends and families. Plenty of parking available inside and around the bistro. 👍🏻☕⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The savoury food such as quesadillas, beef bagel, mess of plants and pesto pasta were good. Kombucha was refreshing. The tiramisu cake was too sweet for us, small bite was enough. Hope to be back to try other items, perhaps at their upcoming outlet in Mid Valley Southkey.

Must try: Quesadilla and Aussie Beef Bagel. Great food and generous portion. Staff are helpful though they seem a bit blur at times. The cafe is a tad too cold too

Really nice place for brunch! Very nicely designed cafe, with enough spaces for big groups. The food is good. Tried the quesadilla and it is good, so is their bagles and cinnamon rolls. All can be takeaway and kept for about 3 to 4 days in the fridge (just need to microwave it). Highly recommended if you going to johor for a quick getaway!

🤩 : Food, coffee, vibes

It was such a blessing that I got that 15 minutes before it started pouring heavily. As the entrance is small and tends to flood a little, a trip here in a rainy day makes for a little adventure for your white and/or fancy branded shoes.

Inside, you’ll find a large, cavernous space that is home to two distinct sections. The section that I interacted with was the cafe itself. I was seated in the middle and it was a little bit like a stage. That said, I never once felt I had too many eyes or ears on me. The cafe is generally lively - not exactly the cafe for chilling with a book, but it’s brilliant for some laughter with your mates.

Food and drinks offered were enticing. But we settled for what seems safe. Pesto spaghetti was brilliant, but personally, it could do with a little more garlic notes. The Thai Basil pasta wasn’t quite what was expected in terms of flavour, but it wasn’t poor. The portioning of the Angus beef bagel was generous. Flavours were on point, but a tad bit surfeiting. Truffle fries were done well - great for sharing.

Coffees were brilliant. Latte, flat white, matcha latte - all great in their own ways. The latte and flat white were fragrant and not unpleasantly bitter. I know I enjoy it when I don’t call for sugar syrup to be added. The matcha latte tasted legit, but was a little too powdery, else, it was good.

The overall bill was the most pleasing - from the pov of someone earning Singapore dollars, that is.

Highly recommend the bagel with beef and hash browns. Adding jalapenos on it gives an extra kick.

Thai basil chicken pesto pasta is another good one, especially with the thick creamy sauce. But its a bit salty.

Very crowded though, so you might need to wait some time to get a seat.

I had a fantastic experience at The Founders Cafe in Johor Bahru. The coffee was exceptional, and the food was delicious. What made it even more special was the opportunity to meet the owner, who was incredibly humble and friendly. The cafe's interior was also beautifully designed, creating a great ambiance. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great coffee and dining experience.

Food was good and atmosphere is great as well. The inside of the cafe has an industrial theme so if you like that sort of theme, you will enjoy it. Went on a weekday late afternoon so it was not too busy but there was still a decent number of customers.

Perfect spot for brunch, cafe has a nice and cozy ambience. It serves many pastries and many other food items. We came as a table of 9, had carbonara, pizzas, quesadilla, and bagels and they tasted amazing. The owner was the highlight, thank you for the warm and friendly service. See you again!

Delightful brunch options and also many tempting desserts, making it a great choice for social gatherings. Spacious ambiance and had a blend of artsy trendy sophisticated feel featured within an old industrial warehouse vibe.

The food and drinks choices were aplenty and staff were attentive and polite.

Bagel was damn good. Also cinnamonroll. Its my second time here. First time I came at lunch. The dark choco cinnamon was sold out as well as parmesan herbs bagel. Today I went at breakfast time where it just open. It's damn gooood. Worth travelling ! About 25 to 30mins from jb custom..but still worth going.

I love finding pretty places to have pastries and coffee. The Founders Cafe is probably one of the nicest spots of JB. It is tucked away from the main road and feels like a bit of a haven for someone like me who loves to do cafe hopping. Especially on quieter weekdays—went here around 1PM and there was not much people.

Their aesthetic is undoubtedly perfect for your instagram shots.

And the biggest draw is their pastries. Try the Brown Butter Walnut Donut & Pecan Salted Caramel Cinnamon Roll, which is soft & with right amount of sweetness.

I also tried their pasta — the Carbonara & the Spicy Thai Chicken Pasta both tastes delicious and was cooked properly.

P.S. I ordered Cappuccino and it really hits the spot. It's thick and smooth, with a hint sweet chocolatey and nutty — just how I like it.

I can't wait to come back and try more delicious dishes 😋

Our total bill was about RM160 for 2 pax (2 pasta dishes, 2 drinks, and some pastries to go) 🤭

The atmosphere is chilling and love the high ceiling. I am a big breakfast fan. To me their big breakfast is above average. Still one of the best. The quesadilla is supreme too.
