My experience was nice with both arrival and departure. The processes are smooth if you have all your documents prepared.

However, it’ll be great to know your stuff well before arriving at the airport. Passengers are not directed by staff and it might surprise you to find spots with no personnel around to ask for any information.

For departure (international), it’s great to check in online or arrive with your documents for self check in at the booths. The assisted check-ins seem might not be available at dawn.

You can do self-luggage dropping and check-in at the provided screens simply.

the airport is quite far from the city but very spacious and clean. Plenty of seating and so are the check in officers. It's just that the queue at immigration was quite long even though my flight was early in the morning. Clean toilets and lots of f&b and duty free tenants whose prices are still affordable. To get to the boarding room you have to use the bus so it's quite far

KLIA is huge. When I came here, I was a little bit confused, but the signs clearly pointed the way. The toilets are clean and the staff are nice. I asked one of the cleaners for directions and he gave me correct directions and told me where I could go to the lounge. He is really a nice guy. It is a big area, and I can guarantee that if I scream, there will be an echo. I am kind of walk around and relaxed. Worth my time.

It's big airport. You shud spare time about 2-3 hours before your flight time to arrive in this airport. Once you arrive you will be greated by so much restaurant and convinience store. It's like mall in the airport.

The customer service was very helpful. I forget asking her name but thanks so much.

After you get your boarding pass, I recommend you to walk to your gate. Because from check-in counter to the gate takes time about 20 minutes.

I had experience I missed my flight bcs i dont have spare time.

Kuala Lumpur airport is connected to the city via a fairly fast railway, but is still quite remote. With short transfer times, you can't get into the city quickly.

The airport is relatively modern, with waiting halls with large screen TVs and also some shops.

Both overseas flights and many domestic flights are handled from here.

The place is huge, we need to closely look at the information board given. The food court also offers good food to enjoy. Plan your visit to Malaysia and enjoy their culinary treats, one of the best in Asia

Nice modern clean airport with many shops and restaurants.
Check in areas can be very busy but it’s to be expected.

A big airport of Kuala Lumpur.
Located a bit far from downtown but easily accesible by car, bus, or ERL train from KL Sentral Station.
Building ginormous, good facilities and amenities. Services are good. But access from main terminal to island terminal can be better and improved.
KLIA 1 much better than KLIA 2.

Terminal 1 at Kuala Lumpur Airport provides a functional travel experience. The terminal is well-maintained, and the staff exhibit efficiency and professionalism. Security measures are robust, ensuring passenger safety. However, the terminal lacks some amenities, and the dining options are limited. Overall, Terminal 1 serves its purpose well for a smooth and straightforward travel experience.

I have seen many big improvement over the years and after pandemic.. clean toilet, toilet all upgraded, brighter, clean, cleaner also very friendly ( the only issue is because of the user, mess up the toilet)
MH flight also big improvement, after pandemic has been travel more than 10 trip in and out KLIA w MH, clean bright aircraft , after changing the main catering company , the food was good. With such short trip ( 2hour) we being served with choice of Big Breakfast or Nasi lemak , after all the CNY festive food , I go for my fav Nasi Lemak sambal udang, there is more than 5 prawn in there , rice is not overcook , sambal just not too spicy for me, the whole meal come with , fruits platter , bread and butter , a packet of freshly pack peanut and ikan bilis, closed our meal w a pc of freshly pack banana cake, and a packet of my peanuts , come with a bottle of mineral water, coffee or tea and you still can ask for more drinks , fruits juice , soft drinks , milk … with a paid trip at RM 320 come with seat selection , priority baggage of 35kg , priority boarding and priority check in … I will not go for budget w purchase of luggage closed to RM 100 … not to mention ON TIME and arrived safely, most of all , all the crew services really improve a lot , each trip we were being greeted sincere smile and parting w good greeting too.. MH , as a Malaysian 🇲🇾, am proud of you MH, passenger sitting beside me ( husband and wife ) also felt the same way , keep up the good work … despite whatever ugly past, kindly give it a try for yourself . Not to mentioned my MH FlyPass , it’s was such a bonus and I being up grade to Silver and enjoy all the benefit without I am notice .. thank you Malaysia Hospitality by MH, their back office services also improve a lot .. kepo up the good work

It has been 3 yrs since I last visited. Still find the architecture amazing. Huge and very well maintained. Washrooms were clean but can be improved on the ventilation. Plenty of F&B outlets and retails. Window displays were beautiful too.
It was nice to have water dispensers near the boarding gates. Also MAS was giving out door gifts for departing and arriving too. Not sure whether its just for a promotional period but we were happy to receive. Great service from the staff.

It is an extremely fantastic place for local and international inhabitants to getting the airbus for his own destination. This a very large airport, where has everything for passengers ; moreover, it is a well decorated and attractive place, and the security system is quite strict, which is immensely essential for everyone. Overall, Kualalampur International Airport is absolutely picturesque.

The airport was really built well, from the drop-off bay for departures to the inside as well. The only tip I can give to fellow travellers is that they are very strict with the weight of their baggage. There are at least two areas where they will weigh your baggage. The check-in for the boarding pass and the next area where you will be proceeding to the gate assigned to your flight.
