Came here for the popular claypot rice ($16 medium size), wu xiang and pork trotter. Very value for money hawker centre. Heard the chicken rice and slice fish soup here is good too. Will visit again in the future

My favourite hawker with a wide varieties of local food.

Recommendation
1. Wanton noodle stalls (e.g. Koh Kee, Long Kee) here have a very unique Cantonese taste that can't be found elsewhere. At least 3 stalls have similar taste. Try them all to see which one is your favourite. Be early though as they are usually sold out by early afternoon.

2. Bugis Street Beef Kway Teow
The noodle soup portion is large for $4.50. Beef meat is tender and the soup is tasty too.

3. Ngoh Hiang (Ming Fa Shou Shi)
I like to order Ngoh Hiang (五香) here as there are a lot of varieties to choose. Beehoon is not salty and it goes well with the all the dishes. Must ask for the special sauce to go with it.

4. Hainese White Chicken with Porridge (Soh Kee Cooked Food)
This is my favourite too when I want a good plain porridge with Hainese chicken. Chicken is tender and soft.
Recently it is a Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmet list.

5. Tutu Keuh
My children's favourite when they were young.

6. Ice Kachang and other local desserts
A familar childhood dessert that is both refreshing and cooling on a hot day.

Others include claypot rice, bah ku teh, vegetarian bee hoon, fishball noodle, chwee kway, white carrot cake, slice fish soup etc.

You will find something you like whether it is for breakfast, tea, lunch or dinner. One trip is never enough...

Looking for a good place for a meal? This is the best place where you can experience local Singaporean way of settling their meals, catching up with friends and staying updated with the current news!

This morning, I tried a bowl of dry Penang Prawn Noodle ($5), together with a fried sesame butterfly ($1.20), a fried red bean bun ($1.2) and a cup of coffee ($1.10).

The portion of the noodle is a little bit more than the normal prawn noodle that I tried elsewhere. The cooked prawns size is slightly bigger too, and the broth is flavourful. $5 is quite decent and is valued of money!

The fried fritters (butterfly and red bean bun) are big too. Is non-oily to my surprise.

Coffee taste ok, the coffee maker “tarik”(pour from higher) makes the bubbles and this not normal to Chinese traditional coffee stalls at the market. $1.10 is cheap, as nearby coffeeshops can be $1.20 or $1.30.

Heard from the folks sitting around the food centre that there are many “star-shops” and famous families run brands here. I’ll definitely try those in my next visit! You should explore too!

Jurong West 505 Food Centre is a foodie’s paradise.

Jurong West 505 Food Centre may be unheard amongst Easties, but it’s a food gem treasured by Westies. Finding a seat on weekends is nearly impossible, as locals jostle for spots and wriggle around snaking queues. So, if you’re wondering which stalls are worth soldiering the queue for, this is the list for you.

This well-frequented food centre should be your go-to spot in Jurong West for a hearty, wallet-friendly and scrumptious meal. It was founded in 1985 to cater to residents of the surrounding housing estates, and underwent a revamp in 2009. Today, it boasts multiple Michelin-rated vendors and cult-favourite stalls that loyal customers make the journey out west to patronise.

Whether you’re in the mood for silky, slippery noodles accompanied by bouncy fish balls, toothsome chwee kueh smothered in preserved radish and chilli sauce or nutritious Hakka thunder tea rice bursting with fresh flavours, we guarantee you won’t leave hungry. Check out these notable joints on your next visit.

While Jurong West 505 Food Centre remains rather ulu, especially for Easties, it will also reward you with a bevy of affordable and delicious food.

A very popular market and food center in the West part of Spore Very crowded esp during lunch time & weekends. Lots of yummy local food. Popular ones will be chicken rice, chicken with porridge, fish soup, fish ball noodle and wanton noodle. You can park at the Multi Storey Carpark next to it.

a few stalls are the all time favourite
fish soup, wanton mee, carrot cake and chicken porridge. Most recommended the drink stall at level 2 nearest to the escalator, cheap and strong coffee

Wet market close to my house. You can all grocery items here. Great place to shop for fruits and vegetables. Have tailor shops, few hawker centres and some good bakeries as well

Accompanied my mum to visit the tailor shop at #01-80 (lady boss is very popular as she is very friendly).

This place is known to many people living/growing up in Jurong.
Besides the Hawker center, there is also a wet market (most stalls are closed on Mondays). Behind the wet market there is also a provision shop which is opposite the multi-story carpark.

Below mentioned is a list of stalls that I will recommend for good food:
囯记云吞面 Kok Kee Wanton Noodle #01-14
益发熟食 #01-18 (Chee Cheong Fun, Porridge and Yam Cake)
嘟嘟熟食 #01-19 (Kueh Tutu)
文光 #01-25 (Fishball noodle)
福建成興滷鸭 Seng Heng Braised Duck #01-37 (Braised duck rice/noodle)
蘇记熟食 Soh Kee Cooked Food #01-44 (Chicken and porridge)
潮州 Teochew #01-46 (Satay Bee Hoon, Laksa, Fishball Noodle)
興興熟食 Heng Heng Cooked Food #01-186 (Fish soup)
鸿记云吞面 #01-188 (Wanton noodle)

Prices of the chicken with porridge set at Soh Kee Cooked Food are very reasonable & value-for-money, starting from only $3.50 for one pax. The portion of chicken meat for a one-person meal is really generous. The meat is silky smooth & tender with a layer of gelatin right under the skin that gives it a great texture. Even the breast meat, while lean, is still relatively juicy and tender as well! The soy sauce/sesame oil sauce mixture has the right amount of saltiness that does not overshadow the cleaner taste of the poached chicken. ⠀

Don't be fooled by the unassuming appearance of the porridge! The porridge has a smooth consistency and is lightly seasoned with some pepper and sesame sauce on top. Pairing the porridge with the chicken makes it a really flavourful, hearty and healthy meal! 🐔🥣😋⠀
