Didn't expect to have such a good experience here. At the mountain top, fresh cool breeze was truly a helpful escape from the hot weather down there. Beautiful arrangements of flower everywhere, with stunning views over the land and sea.

There is a strawberry farm where they serve some strawberry based drinks and dessert (scones, ice ream), and also a dinosaur park (didn't explore it though).

Parking site is available, entrance fee was RM5 per person. You may choose to drive yourself to the top or pay for a ride, they do have vans ready to get you up there. But if you were to drive, make sure your car is in good condition and drive carefully, it could be a little challenging at some corners.

I was fortunate to experience this mountain. After visiting Warung Tepi Bendang Wateb, I asked the stall owner where could I go. He recommended Mount Jerai. The climb by car was relatively ok in a Starex. We don't have such climbs anymore in Singapore but I find this doable. Just go slow and keep a distance with the car in front. While going down if you can, shift to manual and use engine brake. At the peak or where the attractions are, temperature is cooling (about 26 degrees in end April 2024) when the cloud comes rushing towards you. It was slightly warm when the sun was hitting directly. There are many attractions but I can only name the Strawberry farm and cafe with a view as that's where I visited. There are many people on top and that's because there were buses of tour groups who came visiting.

Tough climb on a bicycle but well worth it. Lots of great wildlife and views along the way. To climb to the top you need to keep going when you reach the food court (which was all shut down in April 2023) and take the left fork. When you get to the parking for Padang Tok Sheikh & Batu Shaff don’t continue. The road reaches 19% in the last section and you’re met with a locked security gate!

Gunung Jerai, from here can see Pulau Bunting. On top here you can have paddy fields view, sea and clouds. Baru sekarang saya tahu kenapa Kedah kekal sebagai negeri jelapang padi.
I love to drive up to Gunung Jerai especially using manual car (both hand and leg are busy with keep on changing gear) not until encounter with noob or newbie driver that keep on pressing break or purposely drive slow to enjoy scenery. Going down from Gunung Jerai actually quite dangerous yet fun, dangerous because if put free gear, car still can go up to 90km/h and need to keep on pressing break. Fun because you can drift all the way down especially when you play this song 'Tokyo Drift - Teriyaki Boyz', again not until meet those drivers that spoil your fun or potong stim.

Quite wonderful view of Kedah, make sure come on cloudy day to see the cold cloudy fog atmosfere. Not recommended to come on heavy rain because risk of flooded on the way up. If you dare enough can drive on your car but makesure on manual gear to avoid any problem. You can hired van driver below the mount if hesitated, around RM70-80 per van for two way, up and down. If you came on holiday it is recommended to take van because van can sent you up without queeing at the top entrance due to limited parking for public vehicle. i came on normal day, drive my own car and get parking without problem. parking is charged at RM4 or maybe RM2 per person, not sure.

Editing from my recent view
No more Free entrance
RM2 per pax

Car can go till up but just that you cant enter till the parking area as it specifically for the hotel guest only.
Food were quite pricey but worth for the place.
Customer service could improve mainly at the hotel side as the staff quite arrogant .other wise a must visit place!

Around 1217m altitude from sea level, 15km paved road trail from the bottom. There are guarded army tower post at the very top of the mount. Along the road you can notice the differences in soil, rock & variant tree types to suit the atmosphere. Hiking would be the best way to experience the nature & surrounding.

Home of the Roots Riders. I think it is one of the best trail in Malaysia, of course, it was an 'off-road' descend ride at the starting of elevation around 938 meters. It offers 3 main trails, resort to Titi Hayun, resort to Sri Perigi (forking out from Titi Hayun trail) and from the lower part Museum to Kampung Setar. The longest trail was like 7 to 8km. Got an up-lift service via local pickup driver, they can even organize a lorry. The local food was good. The ride was so good that you will miss it so much everyday and every weekends. The trails offers lots of roots that they called it 'speghetti', garden of rocks, long steep sections and lots more on a single descend. The famous advice during the ride was to let go of your front brakes or in malay, "lepas brek depan". The best place to improve your riding skills and to challenge yourself.

Breathtaking views!
The peak is reachable by car making it very accessible but yet, not as crowded as it is not a very well known tourist area.
