Air Itam Market Duck Rice

One of the best braised duck meat 🍖 in town. It's located opposite the air itam market. You won't be able to miss it as this food market is at the junction of the road. Long queue (depends on what time), the service is quite fast. You just have to say how many people are eating... which dish you would like. It's RM11 per person for the duck meat with rice. I added the preserved vegetables (mui Choi): RM5.

Taste good, sweet, and a bit watery with white rice. The celery make it better... The duck isn't roasted, without skin. I'd like to try other menu. I think they don't use msg, It's a good thing, a slight salty taste of soy sauce.

One of the best duck rice stall in Penang! They used to only open late in night, but since MCO they start the business earlier. Always recommend to head down early as the queue can get long.

The mix platter consists of duck meat, duck intestine, pork belly & braised egg. This combination of meats is to die for!

Aroma is pungent, and all is braised and season to perfection! Every bite is just a bliss! And don’t forget the Boey Cai, with that a complete meal is set.

After recommended by Ah Xien, I search for this place. Was told they sell their duck rice for more than 65 years there already. Love the way they serve the duck together with other meat (I asked for mix) and sauce were pour on top of the rice. The taste will bring you back to your childhood.

Tasty & easy parking if go at night. Cool windy inside at night time. Expect queuing up for a few minutes as it's almost always busy. The owner might be very busy, few with words 😅 However they still serve you in fast speed.

Amazing! The braised pork is a must try! The fragrance of the soy sauce from this stall is quite prominent compared with other braised dish I've tried.

A market that locals go to eat. Duck rice tasted nice, comes with beancurd and lean duck meat with a light sauce drenched over the rice, but i did not find it mind blowing as many people have said it to be. Also found the portion a bit small. Went there at 10pm on Tuesday night and there was already a queue, although it moves fast.

I personally love their duck rice. Combination of egg, pork and duck with the gravy. Will definitely go back when I'm in Penang. The owner told me off every Tuesday.

Good duck rice, nice flavour.

The braised duck is soft tender and aromatic. Prices are moderate but ques are long. Remember to get mui choi or preserve vegetable. It goes very well with the duck rice.

Best duck rice in Penang i kid you not. But it’s hard to predict when they open or not. The extra boey chai is a dish not to be missed.

This place is a part of a nice food court nearby the Kek Lok Si temple. Great choice of street food, chrysanthemum tea and perfect local ambiance.

Delicious, tasty duck rice that I've been eating since 1999. The mother and son are as hardworking as ever.

Comfort food and value for money. Must try in Penang. Majority of patrons are local people.
