Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Enjoyed my 2 Night Stay here at Holiday Inn, though price was at the higher side, but the experience is worth it.

Room was clean and spacious. Love the swimming pool at 32 Floor enjoy relaxing while looking at the scenery towards Singapore Woodland.

Love the gym room and Yoga Room at the same 32 floor. Nice atmosphere and new equipment and important fantastic view while exercising. Good experience.

Breakfast can be further improved to provide more variety of food.

Overall experience is still nice.

Great location at city centre with plenty of food options near by.
Rooms was spacious and clean. Kudos to the housekeeping team~ service was prompt and friendly.
Car park is seems pretty safe just located in front of the hotel (do note it’s at level 7 of komtar mall)
Only thing is the firm pillow is way too soft!
Recommended and will be back.

My family and I recently enjoyed a two-night stay at Holiday Inn JBCC in the Suite room, and I am eager to share our positive experience.

The Suite comfortably accommodated our family of four with its king bed and a sizable pull-out bed from the sofa. This layout felt spacious and provided ample sleeping arrangements for everyone.

The room was well-equipped with a bathtub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or simply enjoying a relaxing soak. This was a great way to end our evenings!

I want to extend a special thanks to Ros at the front desk for her efficiency. We arrived slightly early but were pleasantly surprised to be able to check into our room right away. This allowed us to maximize our time in the city, and we truly appreciated her promptness.

Overall, we were very impressed with our stay. The suite was spacious and perfect for our family, the amenities were great, and the service, especially from Ros, was exceptional. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and family-friendly stay in JB

This is a great spot for travelers who want to stop just short of the causeway and want to be able to walk to easy shopping and dining. Keep in mind, everything is a bit pricier here than farther into JB because it’s catering to tourists. AC was going great and every modern convenience was available, including slippers, bottled water, and soft AND firm pillows. Service was great and prompt in delivering extra items requested. All in all, a definite recommend!

Comfort, clean and spacious room. The reception lobby has lots of sitting places, nice sofas to rest while waiting for check in. There is a Starbucks counter too, can get the coffee fix while waiting. Overall nice experience.

Great customer service. 👍👍👍 The service staff always put on a smiling face to attend to customer queries.
There is an incident when I forgotten to take my adapter and my friend called to reception, my case was immediately taken care of.
The standard twin and premium room were cosy and the bed was comfy. The room was bright as well.
We will definitely looking forward our next stay.

Perfect place for our stay - the hotel is right next to city centre mall and the breakfast is wayyy better than any other holiday inn we've stayed at!!

Staff are also very responsive to our needs and helped us change rooms when the room next door got too noisy.

The location is great. You just need walk three to five minutes from the hotel to JB sentral.
The front desk service is also good. As an IHG platinum member, the front desk clerk Ros is nice and happily to provide me free early check in and room upgrade.
The room interior styling is also quite new. The room area is also big enough. The room view is also good, can see JB sentral and sea.
The gym area is also big enough with good view during working out.
Overall, the living experience here is quite good.

The stay was good throughout. Room was clean and water pressure in the bath is decent. Quiet throughout the day. Would definitely be back again.

A little pricey cos we booked at the last minute. Have it’s own Carpark at level 7 of Komtar JBCC. The Carpark entrance is at the end of Komtar building where there’s a drive up ramp. Look for holiday inn sign will guide u to level 7. Park n Take a lift to level 8 that’s the hotel lobby. Parking is free if u bring your own touch n go card for them to validate before leaving.

Room is clean and functional. Tv channels limited. Lobby front desk friendly infact all the staff here r attentive and friendly 👍. Check out is a breeze.

Pool on the 32nd floor can be improved cause the water is quite dirty with many residues. View is nice. Have a jacuzzi pool.

Location is good in the middle of city sq mall and komtar. Can walk to nearby food places just google. Try exploring around cos many food places outside the malls r not listed on google maps. With that we don’t have to travel anywhere else.

Lastly we have a sea view room but all we saw was the CIQ traffic jam day and night lol

Stayed at this Holiday Inn JBCC for 6 nights to save on accommodation costs for this CNY home visitation. 😁 Around SGD 100 per night before tax and other charges per night from Monday to Saturday. In Singapore, I would have paid around SGD 300++ per night for a similar class.

My corner standard room was well lit, spacious and clean, with a view of the JB CIQ and Straits of Malacca. Aircon and water pressure was good. Endless stream of hot water for showers. Toilet flushed well.

The room came with a sofa so it was nice not to be always seated on the bed all the time. The bed was extremely comfortable - with soft and firm pillows. I slept pretty well.

The only issue I had was with the chair in the room. The seat was extremely hard and wobbled as if it was going to break. I had asked for a replacement but none came. As I was busy commuting between JB and Singapore daily, I forgot to remind them.

Staff was friendly and helpful enough. One even tried helping me to explore options to secure a better rate for Sunday night (which went up to a horrendous MYR 800++). He could have said no, and ignored me, but he tried, for which I was grateful.

I wish I could stay the last night (tonight) in JB at this same hotel, but it was just way too expensive. Instead, I decided to go to the other IHG Holiday Inn Express and Suites, which is just another block 20 mins away, that is charging SGD 100++ for Sunday night, including breakfast.

Overall, this Holiday Inn JBCC is a pretty good one at a good price, that I will return to stay when I do the JB - Singapore commute, if the price is right. 😁

Location:
Great location with easy access to CIQ, City Square (just next door) and Komtar CC (below).

Check in:
Great check in service by Vijay who always wore a smile despite being very busy. He assisted us with an early check in without additional charges.

Room:
Comfortable with a great view overlooking CIQ from a high floor.

A swivel chair is slightly not stable at the joint but was promptly changed after we reported the next morning.

Main bed is comfortable, but we can feel the spring on the sofa bed.

Housekeeping:
Very clean.

We opted to go green and not change the towels by hanging them up on the hooks after reading a “go green” sign on the bathroom table. To our disappointment, the towels were still changed after house keeping. It would be good if the hotel stick to their “go-green” sign and not change our towels for environment sustainability. But believe a lot of hotels also do it similarly.

Facilities:
Roof top infinity pool has a great view although small in size. There is a spa pool as well.

Gym is nice, but we didn’t have time to use it.

Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would come back again.

Excellent location just above JBCC. Lobby is at Level 8 and easier to access from the G floor entrance than the JBCC mall.

Check in process was smooth and easy. Special thanks to Vijay went out of his way in providing great customer service experience and also helped to allocate our multiple rooms on the same level.

Check in and checkout was smooth. Vijay from the front desk has great hospitality skills. Definitely an asset to the company!

Holiday Inn JBCC was awesome. Located near shopping centers which is really convenient to walk around if you don't wish to travel out from that area. Carpark was directly in front of the hotel and there's a security guard overlooking the carpark area. Hotel staff including the security guard were friendly and answer your queries with no hesitation. I even emailed the hotel prior to my stay and response was quick and explanation was clear and precise. I've booked the King Suite Sea View. The room was spacious and comes with a good view and it well accommodate my family of 5. The bathroom was so big that it fits a big bathtub and also 2 separate spaces for shower and a toilet bowl. Cleanliness of the room was tip top. Breakfast buffet have alot of varieties to choose from. Food was delicious, enjoyed thier pastries most. The only regret I have was stayed there just for one night. Should have stayed longer to enjoy the room and facilities there. Definitely will come back to this hotel. Strongly recommended.

Had dinner at Dine@Eight. The service was good. All staff was friendly and courteous. The food quantity was good for the price. The tastes a bit salty but overall good. The complimentary food and drink was worth it. Surprise for the portion given.

It just opposite to the custom border between JB and Singapore. Location is strategic, shopping mall is just downstairs. No wonder that this hotel is one of guests favorite, even though it's pricey.
The surrounding is on heavy construction so not so comfortable if you're walking around.

As usual, Holiday Inn rooms are quite similar one and other. The restaurant for breakfast was crowded because not so spacious.
Unfortunately, I have no time to check the gym and swimming pool.

Room was clean, fully equipped with hairdryer and iron.

The best part was the location which is very near the CIQ, City Square and Komtar Shopping Centres. Walkable distance to the Jln Dhoby area where there are quaint cafes. (About 15 minutes +)

Also walkable to Nasi Ayam Keechup (about 10 mins)

By far, the best housekeeping we ever received from an IHG hotel.

Thumbs up to the nice hand-written note from Mr Bayu from housekeeping (clean team) on the 27th floor. He did an exceptional excellent job in cleaning up our King Premium room, and he also ensured we had enough complimentary bottles of mineral water to stay hydrated.

We are super impressed with Mr Bayu's high levels of responsibility and exemplary work attitude. He is definitely an ASSET to any hotel.
