One of its famous national parks and for good reason. The nature is very serene and well looked after. A hugely dense forest with rivers running through them. The wildlife seen here is magnificent, especially at night. Never a dull moment with all sounds and clicks near your lodge. Do make sure to go in the right season, since you don't want to stay here during raining season.

Nice place to visit. Especially when weather is good. Like it very much. Not seen much animals. Sound of nature is amazing.

Lovely, beautiful eco rain forest. Not many trails so 4 days is enough unless you book in to do the 7day hike to the top. Very humid, well worth a visit

In a world where the Sun & Stars ignite your imagination, the lush beautiful Flora & Fauna provides something for all to find comfort in and who knows you may also get a chance to meet a family of Optimus Beast for that perfect gorgeous nature gateway.

Wonderful place. I would recommend the 2D1N tour to the caves to spot wildlife. But be aware of the leeches and wear long clothes, they are good climbers.

Gunung Tahan....
Highest Peak in Peninsular Malaysia....
Advise to take minimum 5days 4nights hiking trip, not to over stress our body & muscles, relax & enjoy the scenery along the journey.....

My favourite nature getaway in West Malaysia. It is a gem for those nature wildlife observers, with tours and accomodation is available. e.g. Mutiara Taman Negara would be suggested for those looking for comfortable stay with or without family as this 90+ chalet resort is just within the rainforest. Even in the resort you get to see lots of species of plants insects and others.

Went to taman negara on 15,16, and 17 January 2022. I stayed in Danz Eco Resort and we choose glamping for the accomodations. The package was so good which include activities and food during our stay. The host mr rashdan was so friendly.
Activities include night safari, hiking to teresek hill and canopy walk, orang asli village visitation, and rapid shooting. Add on activities that you can choose is a trip to lata berkoh. This one i did not join as i prefer to just sit around at the resort.

Glamping tent was spacious and simple but the only thing that troubles me is the mildew spot on the tent. The rest was good. Toilets were clean and the dining area was so cozy. You can see the giant tualang tree in the middle of the dining area.
Overall i was having a very good time during my taman negara trip.

Sorry if it's irrelevant to the current situation, but I would like to give my review based on our (my husband and I) visit to Taman Negara in 2009. This isn't a blogspace I know, but I decided to give my review while sharing my story.

If you are planning to go there and camp, please get yourself fully prepared. Nowadays it's easy to get camping gears because of Decathlon and Shopee (not a Lazada fan, sorry). Back then, it wasn't this simple. We visited Taman Negara with the intention to hike and camp but it didn't turn out well. Despite that, it was one of the most memorable camping trips ever!

I probably don't have to tell this, I'm sure everyone knows. However, it may be useful for beginners. Wear proper attire, waterproof if possible, wrap your clean dry clothes in plastic or bring waterproof bag. I used Deuter bag with that cute rain cover and it didn't help. Don't forget waterproof pouch for your phone, it's important! Laundry bags (plastic) will come in handy to pack your wet clothes. Be sure to check the boat timing so you won't miss any if you plan to go towards Kuala Terenggan by boat. If you wish to hike all the way, by all means... please do ;)

When we reached Bumbun Kumbang , we were soaking wet because we had to cross a few streams and it rained a little bit. There were foreigners (I think there were 5 of them) and 2 Aborigine guides who arrived earlier and were resting. Our timing was just nice, as we reached there before the sun sets. Our new friends (I prefer to call them friends than foreigners) and the guides were very helpful and friendly, we were so blessed!

That night, we had our meal and went into our tent to sleep. Not long after, our new friends told us we should join them in the hide above instead of sleeping in the tent on the ground. I think the guides mentioned something about hearing elephants nearby. Scared to death, we quickly packed our stuffs and climbed the stairs to join them in the hide. The hide wasn't comfortable, but it's definitely safer. My husband accidentally knocked his head while entering the hide. It has something to do with the design of the entrance and it was dark. So please be careful. All of us waited by the window to watch for the elephants. We heard movements but couldn't see anything. It was a great experience, looking out for wild animals from a hide in the middle of the night with new friends. If you are lucky, you may see them.

We slept well that night because we felt safer and definitely exhausted.

The next morning, our new friends invited us to hike towards the caves, but we had to decline as we had to cut our trip short. We started hiking towards Sungai Tembeling to catch a boat. In the morning, there were many leeches attacking so be prepared for this. Repellent would help.

We waited quite some time for the boat. While waiting a lovely and friendly Canadian lady joined us too. We took a boat and stopped at Nusa Camp. You have to cross a short hanging bridge to go there. I am not sure if the place still exists to be honest!

From Nusa Camp, we had to leave as our new friend Jennifer wanted to stay there. We exchanged emails and still friends until today.

We wish that we were more prepared so we didn't have to cut our trip short. There are many things to enjoy, and do in Taman Negara. To all nature lovers, pack your bag and head there!

Welcome to the jungle! Beautiful, Oldest rainforest in the heart of Malaysia. Can be reached by boat. What really surprised me was the noise of the woods! Insects, spiders, snakes 😀

Amazing rain forest. Great place for birding and butterfly watching. Also rich in other fauna. Good quality services including a restaurant, mini mart and toilets are provided at the park center. Board walks are available for about 1-2 km on every trail starting from the park center. Price of the entry permit is 1 ringgit and 5 ringgits more if you carry a professional camera. You can enter the park multiple times from a single permit.

Amazing place! First of all the boat ride up the river is a one of a kind experience. The park itself is massive, most of the treks are multiple days with a guide. I only did the day hike behind the resort, only a small fraction of the Park. Plenty of wild boars running in the bush & monkeys jumping in the canopy. There are tigers, bears, & elephants farther out.

Well maintained place. But the two hill top should be a better view. Since it doesn't really show the highest point of the mountain. I have seen a better view from a lower height mountain. But beautiful place to be with numbers of beautiful flora and fauna. Our guide was a wonderful guy with alot of experience and his experience sharing made our trip even more wonderful. Our journey started by taking a permit at the across the river where we have to buy pay for the boat service. You can also purchase the permit before even going to this place at your hotels. But if you don't, there is no place at the shore except across the shore. Then from there, you will be brought to Taman Negara forest in a boat. It's nice journey too. From there you will be hiking to the top spot at that particular area. The best moment of the trip is the walking on the hanging bridge. Lucky me, it's was open a day before my trip to Taman Negara. It definitely the best experience I had so far. Alot of flora and fauna to be discovered there. I had the opportunity to see a green viper snake and bee hive too. We had to used the jungle forest route instead of the normal route due to the bee hive. It was definitely a best experience.

Very nice place to visit. If your up for it you can camp in the jungle (min. 4 days) but otherwise the usual rapid shooting , jungle trekking is also good.

Taman Negara Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforest in the world. It has been around for 130 million years, which means the forest, once upon a time, used to accommodate dinosaurs. Spanning over a 4343 sq. km, Taman Negara is one of Malaysia's premier and the most popular tourist destinations.
