This was my first visit, and I went for a weekday lunch at around 11:30 am. There were only a few people ahead of me, and the queue moved quite quickly. By the time my group left at about 12.15pm, the place was buzzing with at least 20 people waiting!

I ordered their signature tom yum Ban Mian with double fish. To add some extra flavour, I opted for bitter gourd and a sprinkle of egg floss. The star of the show, hands down, was the soup! Unlike the mass-produced pastes you find elsewhere, this tom yum was thick, bursting with flavour, and incredibly satisfying.

The sliced fish was fresh batang, perfectly cooked and not at all chewy. The fried fish was lightly battered dory, and even though I'm not usually a dory fan, I was very impressed by how well-prepared it was.

The total price came to $10.50, which included the additional ingredients and choice of carbs. While the egg floss portion was very generous, it might be a bit much if you are a solo diner. Maybe they could offer a smaller size?

Overall, I'm very happy with my meal. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu!

My absolute happy meal is the Tom yam soup! Have been going to this shop for years! Even ordered online during covid to satisfy these cravings.

I always have Tom yam soup with rice and an extra side of fried egg. Best perk me up especially during wet and cooling weather!

Clean and neat restaurant offering delicious Tom Yum and fried/steamed fish soup noodles or rice. The noodles are soft. Be prepared for a potentially long queue during peak hours, especially around lunchtime on weekdays, but the service is efficient. Arriving early ensures you get both your food and a seat. Prices are reasonable, and only cash is accepted. They also offer a variety of drinks. Highly recommended!

We often eat here on Sunday. Still the best Tomyum fried fish soup $7 that I have tried. The place is only open for lunch because they would be sold out soon after. You can pick the noodles such as mee sua, maggie mee, or the fried noodle, or rice. My favorite is mee sua. The tomyum is very refreshing, the sourness is just perfect. Generous fish. It comes also with tofu, onion, and tomato. You can add scrambled egg too. Highly recommended.

Best tomyum in singapore. Their tomyum is legit and so flavourful. Quite spicy but it makes u craving more and more. Don’t forget to order their fried egg and dip it in the tomyum soup before eating it. Overall a good experience. Don’t come to late bcause so fast run out of ingredient (so many people want to eat here though)

Have you seen the queue at lunchtime? It would take an hour! So better come early. Do note that opening hours are pretty short from 11am-4pm.

The Tom Yum Soup is da bomb. I recommend it with maggi noodles and fried fish but please have it once a month for your health.

Wow ! 😮 😋The food was so fresh and nice, 😋yet is cheaper then Coffee shop, and actually it is a Cafe restaurant. 6 dishes cause less then $100. Curry fish head we only pay for $9.90, importantly is fresh.
Oysters egg, oysters so big, century egg and salted egg veggie, veggie are fresh, the egg cut so big, you can really taste it.
Is really really worth to eat here. Especially you have choice to sit under the open air, that’s the feeling I miss Long Long time ago.
If you are working around this area, the Tom yam fish soup, or any fish soup was fresh. You should just drop by and grab your lunch or dinner. 👍Bargus !

The tom yum soup fish noodles is amazing! You can choose the type of noodles and fish or seafood. Queue during weekday lunch hour is very long. Verdict: this goes into my Singapore to-eat list

Recommended by a friend who was a regular, the tomyum soup is rich and well-balanced; soury and savoury. the double fish is the perfect companion to the noodle (I chose yee mee), the soup really immersed into the fried fish. Double up the fried egg and you won't regret it! Very generous portion, can share up to 2 person if you're not a big eater👌🏻

Tried their famous tom yum fried fish soup with instant noodle. Gotta say it tastes devine, the sour flavour of tom yum soup combined with the crispy fish and noodle😭🥰. Will definitely come back here every week because i love fish dishes. The price increases from $5.8 to $6 but with this proportion and deliciousness, it’s quite reasonable. Extremely crowded at lunch time so recommend to come at 11 am or after 1pm

Famous for their fish soup, especially with tom yam soup base. Is kind of sour and spicy but is really really good! They got wide selection sides to pair with soup from la mian, rice, yi mee, instant noodle and rice.
Instant noodle with tom yam is the perfect match. Decided to try their zhi char, order sweet and soir fish with rice, it comes with sunny side up, not fantastic but nice. Their fruit juice are freshly squeeze. Must try.

Nice fish soup (abt SGD5-12 depends on the type of fish u choose), the dishes are slighly more expensive than neighbourhood zichar (chinese restaurant) but given this location, being right in front of Sim Lim Square, I think the price is reasonable. Come here for lunch occassionally, usually crowded, might have to seat with strangers sometimes. Like the XO fish head bee hoon, Hor funs are not bad too. Dinner time usually not crowed, nice taste, rarely i can find zi char around that tastes so nice. Liked their Curry fish head (26++), the curry and rice are perfect match! Red wine pork rib (16++) is nice too.

Tasty fish soup. Came on Thurs, 13may21 - public holiday and yet the queue non stop. Overheard some regular customer were saying, weekday the queue go much worse... Worth the effort to travel here. House in a small little coffeeshop. Order 1 favour in Tomyam, and the other the normal milk soup based.

Had the Double Fish Soup with Instant Noodle. One of the best fish soup I have tasted. The fried fish was crisp and the soup was delicious. Overall a very hearty meal.

The fish soup flavor is always. Specially the Tom Yam soup is so nice and cannot stop drinking. Fried spongy eggs is S$1+ for a bowl and goes well with the Tom Yam or milky soup

always start queue up at 11am so get your bowl of favoring Tom Yam or Milky fish soup on time..
