Piedra de Fuego Zipolite

As a Mexican I can recommend this restaurant 100% it's authentic Mexican, not fancy stuff for tourists, you pay the real honest prices for dishes, plastic chairs are part of the deal, please tip them good they deserve it really. Their menu is even written on a wood board. I work for the hotels in Riviera Maya and really food like this deserves more than 5stars.

no reservation required, but absolutely awesome dinner, and very reasonably priced. If you are in or near Zipolite and miss this place, you have missed a great experience...off the main drag, quiet, friendly and awesome food....will be back at every opportunity

The food was delicious, the portion size was large, and it was extremely inexpensive. It was a great experience all around. The fish was really well cooked and the seasoning was tasty and interesting. The amount of food you get for the price makes it a great bargain, but the quality is still high.

Great restaurant. Prices were low. Service was good. The food was delicious. We had a two person sharable fish meal for 250 pesos and it was a ton of food. The banana flan was a very good dessert as well. Would definitely return again and again.

Had mixed seafood cocktail and a jug of guava juice. Friendly service and tasty food. Nice and peaceful compared to the main drag.

Delicious fish. Very friendly staff. We loved the pineapple juice and the mango juice. Prices were very good. So far the best we have eaten in zipolite and some of the best seafood we've ever eaten. Highly recommended.

Delicious fish. We had their catch of the day for 2 and it was a lot of food for the price. Their guacamole and fruit juices were amazing too. If you want delicious seafood for a decent price, this is the place to eat.

Budget friendly, yet exquisite food served by a man who obviously has a culinary background. Even the most simple dish here has a finesse that is unique to the venue. The family friendly atmosphere and mouthwatering food, coupled with excellent service make this one of my favorite restaurants in all of Mexico.

We got a whole fish and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and it was cut in such a way that we weren't picking out bones the entire time.
We would also recommend the Melón juice. It was so good we drank 2 litres of it.

One of my favourite places to eat in Zipolite. Came here a couple of times for lunch. The seafood is absolutely delicious and the serving sizes are very generous, price is budget friendly too!

Economic family restaurant for “pescado y pulpo” fish and octopus in different sauces combinations ( you can find chicken meat too but fish and in particular the grilled whole fish is the my suggestion).
Agua al sabor (fruit water) are real fresh fruit juices and water prepared at the moment and I recommend the agua de piña (pineapple water) or lemon; Jamaica is another refreshing drink ( a cold red color tisane made with hibiscus flower).
It’s a basic restaurant; not fancy at all but with good fresh fish. I suggest to ask the owner what he recommends as a fresh catch of the day (fish type & size can vary and it depends of availability from the local fishermen).
We loved the fish and octopus with the “mexican” or “mojo de ajo” (garlic) style.

Awsome big plates if food ...went above a beyond for me as i do not eat fish or seafood or meat ..they made me rice and wonderful veggies and fried potatoes ..service was great

This is a friendly down-to-earth place with great seafood. It’s one of the older businesses in town. You should spend some money here.

The shrimp in cream sauce is so decadent. I savored every bite. Everything was reasonably priced
