Boca del Mar Zipolite

My favorite place so far! Dinner for two and a take home box all for $40. I had the vegetarian pasta and the other dish was taco/ fish! Both were soo good! You won’t be able to stop eating! On occasion a dog will stop by with droopy eyes. Don’t feed them please. I highly recommend this candle lit dinner on the beach. I will be back and will encourage others to stop by!

There are so many choices of places to eat when walking along the Beach, but since their billboard invited me into try their fish tacos I did, and very glad I did so! They were killer. Great location, of course, right on the sand, wonderful service and prices, big thumbs up.

Delicious food and drinks. We went twice during our stay and everything we had was great. We ordered the fish ceviche, guacamole, and shrimp and fish tacos (70peso for a serve of 3 huge tacos). Would have gone back again for the tacos but they were closed on our last day.

I had been on the hunt for fish tacos and am so glad I came here; their fish tacos are some of the best I've ever had. Super fresh ingredients and great flavor. I'll definitely be coming back!

UPDATE: okay we've tried all three types of fish taco now (tempura, chipotle, and poblano) and they are all amazing. I think poblano ultimately wins out for me, though. Love this place :)

I stopped by for dinner last night. I ordered shrimp tacos and mixed salad. Both were outstanding. Fresh and delicious. I had a soft drink also. All this for 320.00 nmp. On the beach. Chip and salsa also top notch. Go you won't be disappointed.

Stopped by for lunch and came back for dinner. Both were GREAT. Try the fish tacos in tempura! Or the fish filet with lemon (which comes with very good mashed potatoes topped with sesame oil).
Fresh fish, fresh vegetables, yummy hot sauce, and strong - as in two will get you more than tipsy - cocktails. And the prices are IMHO lower then the quality you get on your plate. So it's a bargain. If you are looking for quality food served at a reasonable price then this is the place.
As a comparison:
We also went to the fancy place at the end of the beach (the alchemist) and paid triple the money we paid in Boca Del Mar. And my overall sensation was not as good as it was in Boca del Mar. The alchemist doesn't have salt and pepper (the absolute basics of seasoning) and this place does.
It's an undiscovered hotspot. Half of the tables were taken so you can still have a sense of private dining in the middle of the beach. And the service was personal and very friendly. Four cocktails and two plates for 600 Mexican pesos. One of the best and economic places I've been after one month in Mexico.

Beautiful place right on the beach. The fish and shrimp tacos were huge and very delicious! Probably the best I've had so far. We'll definitely come back.

The best restaurant on the beach that we tried. It is ran by a family, the mom is cooking and she knows how to perfectly cook fish and seafood 👏🏼🏖 We had to visit more than once!

Really cute beach front restaurant, super attentive and friendly staff. Food was great and so were the cocktails. Happy hour all evening - try the strawberry daiquiri 😍

Simply put: the best fish tacos I have ever tasted. In my life. Stunning and worth a detour! The owners are super nice people too. Buena gente. You'll love it.

We ate here several times and every dish was great.  We especially liked the pasta dishes as the pasta is made fresh and the toppings were delicious.  The Chelf is from Italy and his dishes are authentic Italian.  The food, atmosphere, and service make this a five star Resturant.

Three days in Zipolite, three days we had dinner here. Great tasty cuisine, relax ambience, friendly staff (gracias Ezequiel & team!), and you sit in front of the Ocean with spectacular sunset for the magic dinner.
We had (among others): shrimp tacos, green salad, ceviche, steamed entire fish (catch of the day), pasta (al dente!) with rock crabs (jaiba) and shellfish, pasta with spinach and shrimps... white wine from Argentina, cocktails... all to our entire satisfaction and happiness.

By far my favorite tacos in Zipolite, actually the best of all of Mexico in my opinion! I always go for the fish tempura tacos and the camaron chile poblano (spelling!?). The goat cheese salad and the crevice are also winners. Huge portions and Ezequiel and Marlene are the best team. We wish they were open every day, because we can’t get enough of their food or hospitality!

This is my favourite beach-side restaurant in Zipolite. I ate here half a dozen times during my most recent stay. The fish tacos and ceviche are to die for and the prawn dishes are superb. The food at Boca is much nicer than the neighbouring Sal y Pimenta, which serves similar dishes. There, the garlic prawns I ordered were tough and the garlic was burnt, whereas at Boca the prawns were plump and juicy and cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food and the cleanlienss of the establishment, including the toilets, is above standard for Mexico.

Wonderful place by the beach, you could hear waves rolling, see the stars.. candles on the tables at dinner... and way less busy than Sal y Pimenta next door. Prawns with garlic were exquisite! Served with mashed potatoes, rice and salad - amazing and healthy dinner (in French fries). Fish filet was great too, same sides btw. Totally recommend!

We got a ceviche, some fish tacos, and shrimp a la diabla. All were amazing. Finally! This is the ideal little seaside seafood place we’ve been searching for!

Idyllic setting, delicious food, great artisanal mezcal, and best of all, the staff and owner couple that run this place. Really kind and polite people. I'd eat here every day if I lived in Zipolite.
