Highly recommended!

The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. We had the steak nachos, burrito and chimichanga. Goodness gracious! Everything was so flavourful and perfect.

The drinks are delicious as well. The prices are much more reasonable than the restaurants next to the beach. They’re only a short walk from the North beach (around 5 minute walk). Definitely recommend going there over the beach front restaurants.

Best nachos I’ve had in Mexico so far. Super yummy! Prepare your stomach because it’s big portions.

Came here for a late night dinner (9pm) there were only a few people there. We sat up top and the atmosphere was super cute ! The server was very attentive and friendly, even gave some awesome recommendations. The prices were a lot better than the places on the strip. I ordered the pomadoro pasta, it was very good! Of course you can’t compare it to authentic Italian, but I really enjoyed it and ate every bite! My girlfriend ordered the beef burrito and was amazed. She said it was the best burrito she’s ever had! I tried some and it was phenomenal. The sauces on the side had the best flavour too! The drinks were great as well. I also want to point out that the food only took 5-10 mins! Could be because we were the only people there, but it was fast and great service. I’d love to come back here and try more items off their menu. Maybe I’ll have a chicken burrito next time!

Absolutely loved this place. Just a 5 minute walk from North Beach. The food is so so good. We ordered nachos to start, then a burrito and enchiladas, along with a piña colada and a tequila sunrise. DELICIOUS. Huge portions and so much better priced than the restaurants at the beach.

If you’re in Isla Mujeres, head up here for a great meal.

Food was very tasty! A bit on the expensive side but pretty reasonable for a solid portion of (so far) the best Mexican food I've had here.

Server was nice and helpful. The restaurant is a little unassuming and casual in appearance but definitely worth going to!

This place is so good! Everything was delicious! I ordered the garlic shrimp and my 10-year old ordered the Alfredo pasta. Best lunch!

Wonderful little restaurant in Isla Mujeres! Great food, good selection, lunch specials. Stop in for the crispy tacos if nothing else. Simple, tasty, perfect!

I had a craving for chicken wings while on Isla. Found this restaurant, I was very happy with my meal. It came with a sauce of choice, I picked mango habanero, the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very nice and the people who work there are friendly.

The roof top of this restaurant is so nice and peaceful! We enjoyed the food and the kind service we received.

We tried a bunch of food, stick with the tacos and wings both were amazing, coconut shrimp was over breaded and overcooked…sampler wasn’t too bad either!

Chicken Nachos are so amazing! Ruben’s is def a requirement when you’re in Isla!

I originally had the intention of never going to the same place twice, we went here three times. I can not emphasize enough how delicious and inexpensive this food is. They're drinks are also inexpensive. This is the best restaurant we went to, I wish I'd gone there everyday. They have the best tostadas I've ever had. The staff there is awesome and friendly, and they have live music every night. I don't mean a DJ or a live band though, I mean just some mellow musician or singer on the side of the building in the bar area performing. I like that kind of thing, I never like going to a small place and having to scream across the table at whoever I'm with because the music is too loud. The musicians they had were perfect and I never saw the same one twice. I HIGHLY recommend going here if you're visiting the island

Had tacos and margaritas! They were good. We sat on the roof top, it was pretty chill - good music and the breeze. We were there around sunset. They have happy hour until 6pm so you can get 3 hard shell beef tacos for $120 Peso and 2 margaritas for $200 Peso 2x1. The beers were $35 Peso on happy hour. Good place overall although I’ve had better tacos with nicer tasting salsa.

We love Ruben’s! They now have a spacious upstairs dining room with great views. Always get the pollo burrito with red sauce and it never disappoints. Servers are kind, friendly
and attentive. They are not open on Sundays, just FYI.

I believe we've gone to Rubens every time we've been on the island, so at least a half a dozen, and every time I walk out of there I think that that's the best meal I've ever had. I always get the grouper over mashed potatoes, it's just so flavorful and the atmosphere is awesome and the service is great. No wonder so many high stars.

Found this gem on the island and it’s already one of my favs. Had breakfast burrito and champagne and it was delish. Close to downtown and the beach. A+ experience.

Sit upstairs on the roof! Food was authentic Mexican, Americanized a bit if desired (seafood pasta, stuff drenched in melted cheese if wanted) but menu has original options too! Off the beaten path (2 blocks off a main road) a bit but can get away from the crowds that way!

Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food, super friendly employees, a very quaint patio with live music at happy hour... What more could you want?? We loved Ruben's and ate here several times during our visit. Very affordable prices and the staff recognized us every time we walked by! Can't wait to return!

The rooftop patio was great. The breeze was blowing which kept it nice. Some of the best food I have had. Would go back again when we go back to the island. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
