Elements Of The Island

Only did restaurant not accommodation. Cosy wee spot off the main drag which seems to be family run. Finally we found a chill restaurant, great breakfast, reasonably priced, lovely staff, and great atmosphere. No pressure from anyone trying to persuade you to come in, and no loud music or noise. We had BLTs and fruit plates with fresh orange juice and iced lemonade. Perfect start to the day.

Definitely try it if you’re out for breakfast and want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the restaurant street.

This place is great! Monica the host is amazing and there was not a thing I could think to improve. The price for location and comfort was a real surprise. This is our 3rd trip to the island and we like to be near the beach and shopping, this place was ideal. The restaurant was good for breakfast and you get a 10% discount as a guest. Recommending to all my friends. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

We were so lucky to stay in a lovely place with such a great host! Our room was cleaned every day. It was peaceful to sleep during the night and in the morning we were woken up by the sounds of nature. Our room was equipped with a basic kitchen and cutlery so you can always make your own breakfast. However you will find it hard to resist the great breakfast served in the cafe, including all types of omelettes and homemade jams. An authentic place to stay in an otherwise very touristic island.

Fantastic boutique hotel! The room is so beautiful and comfortable. It got cleaned every day and had a beautiful terrace. The best thing is it's location. It is super central to everything. Main bar/restaurant street is one block away, the north beach and ferry station just 5-10 min walk away but yet it is SUPER quiet. We slept wonderfully. Madrid was super kind and gave us a great introduction of the island with great tips and recommendations. As I had to work a couple of days, the wifi connection was very important to us and it worked perfectly. Best place to stay in Isla mujeres❤

We did not stay at this location but did visit for breakfast a couple of mornings while on Isla Mujeres. Food was simple and delicious and you can't beat the price. The staff were very friendly as well.

Don't look further. This place is true perfection. The owner Madjid is the best host you can wish for. The room was beautiful, well maintained and daily cleaned including fresh sheets and towels. The hotel is very central, directly next to the main restaurant and bar street but is very quiet and tranquil.

TOP STAY!! Consider yourself lucky to be able to stay at Elements of the Island🙌 Madjid is an amazing host, soooo helpful and kind! The rooms are clean, tidy, very well kept. I definitely suggest trying the breakfast once, the omelettes are fantastic!
The proximity to everything is amazing as well, 5 mins walk from the ferry station, 5 mins walk to the beach, 1 min walk to the main street with all the restaurants…

I could go on for longer but to conclude, the price was great, not one single problem, the stay was absolutely comfortable, an all-time favorite for me, across the world and 5 star hotels included 💫

We had breakfast there. It was plenty of food and also tasty. The coffee was also surprisingly good for the island.
Choices were also very wide.
The marmelades were handmade and also very refined. They definitely have a good taste.

Could not have stayed at a better place! This is centrally located next to everything. Has all the necessities. The owner madjide (sorry if I spelled the incorrectly) is amazing and was a blessing on our trip! We accidentally lost the keys in the ocean (turns out zipper pockets are not secure) he was so nice about getting us new keys and letting us back in. Not only that but he helped us receive more funds there (we ran out of pesos) he was such a blessing to us! Our first time out of country and I am just so happy we stayed at element's. There is also beach chairs to use and beach towels. This place has everything including a hospitable owner with a great coffee shop. We had the greatest stay and time. Thank you for such a great experience!!

We stayed in the middle room. Beautiful, clean place. The room has everything you need. Coffee pot, microwave, water, toaster, space-and supplies-to wash dishes. The water for showering was good (pressure, and heat). The bed is quite firm, but a mattress topper was provided to help. I prefer a firmer mattress so it wasn't an issue for me. The TV has an HDMI spit, so we were able to hook up our fire stick for watching TV at night. The wifi was great. I love that the room has a couch and a small table and 2 stools. The added security of the locked entry gate was also a comfort. We would stay here again!

The location is perfect for being near the beach. It is a short, roughly 4 block walk to Playa Norte. We had coffee and toast every morning at Tuturreque (restaurant attached to Playa Arena hotel-where we normally stay). We got our beach chairs from there. Valentin and the guys will take good care of you! ❤ (The cost for chairs, if you aren't staying at Playa Arena, goes towards consumption. About 300 pesos.)

Don't question booking a stay here.

I had a wonderful stay at Elements of the Island. The host provided a map of the island and a list of recommended places (from a local's perspective). Access to the main strip and Playa Norte were both super convenient. The room was clean and quiet (the facilities were well-functioning; good wifi). The breakfast at the cafe was delicious with reasonable prices. I would stay at this place again, and recommend it. If you are in decent shape, I recommend renting a bike for the trek to Punta Sur (and back).

While we haven’t stayed here, we were walking by one morning and it smelled so good we decided to turn around and walk in. They had all these homemade breads and jams which were some of the best I have ever had. They really had a great menu for breakfast and lunch. If you want to try a lot of different things for breakfast to see what you would like this is the place to go. If you didn’t want to sit down We just walked in and they packaged us a plate to go. This is now one of our go to spots on Isla.

Wow!!! Do not skip over this cafe for breakfast. Everything was incredible. Highly recommend the homemade bread and jam, eggs Mexican style, the fresh squeezed oj and the latte. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. We couldn’t get over how wonderful Elements is.

Wonderful place. We stayed in the first floor apartment / room. Really comfortable and immaculate. The furnishings / bed / nice bathroom / simple kitchen area and mini fridge was perfect for us. My wife and I enjoyed the included beach chairs and towels. The street is surprisingly quiet. Small friendly cat hangs out.
Madjid is a great innkeeper and also runs a charming daytime restaurant.

Amazing stay! It’s really close to the best beach of the island. The owner en the people who work there are really friendly and want to help you with everything. The owner speaks good English. The rooms are really spacious, clean and a good bathroom. The extras you get are fantastic: fridge, airco, good WiFi, daily fresh towels (beach towels included). The breakfast is not included but you do get discount. The breakfast is amazing (lots of choices, good prices). We stayed 4 days and we would definitely go again.

We've been vacationing in Isla Mujeres since 2015 (we even got engaged here) and this is one of THE best local spots on the island. We've never stayed in the hotel; we just go to breakfast here. I haven't felt like I've had a truly European breakfast outside of Europe until I came here. On point and delicious.

I literally cannot say enough great things about this place. It's an amazing find. The rooms are huge, bright (absolutely full of light), immaculately clean and quiet. A new air conditioner and dehumidifer meant we always had a cool dry place to sleep, and each evening we came back to find fresh sheets and fluffy towels. The place is located right in heart of village, (5 minute walk from Playa Norte) but off the main street which makes things more peaceful. The host Majid was incredibly welcoming and helpful, he gave us great local recommendations for restaurants, as well as things to do and see on the island, loaned us snorkeling gear for free - in short a wonderful host. He runs a great little cafe out front that serves great coffee and light European breakfasts - a ideal place to start your day. This place made was a big reason our visit to Isla Mujeres was so perfect!

Madjid is an amable person and a perfect host!He gave us lots of tips about places to visit and restaurants.
We had the apartment in the 1st floor and it was just lovely!Quiet,tasteful furniture,comfy bed with wonderful pillows and matress,small balcony with view to the garden full of palmtrees...perfect place to relax!
Umbrellas and chairs for the beach are also included!
The breakfast is amazing!Great variety to choose from and only natural products!
If we could give more than 5 stars we definitely would!!!
