Aqua Adventures Eco Divers, 5 Star Padi Dive Center

100% recommend! We did three days with Aqua Adventures in April. Our guide for the first two days, Pedro, was nothing short of excellent! Incredibly knowledgeable about the area, personable, and knew just where to bring us to cover multiple reefs on a given dive with the currents. One of the days my partner wasn’t able to dive, so I hesitantly went without him for the first time. Pedro made sure I wasn’t anxious and was a great substitute dive buddy for the day! He was sure to point out all the cool stuff too!
On the last day we did the wreck dive and wow! Our guide Nina was top notch! She thoroughly explained the decent instructions (due to the very strong current, weather wasn’t great) and it was unforgettable! The first thing we saw were six eagle rays circling the wreck during the decent. Cue fumbling for the camera immediately! She took us through the ship, just filthy with fish - amazing!
Speaking on the location, the reefs were in immaculate condition with so much life. I finally spotted my first nudibranch! And just tons and tons of fish everywhere! We will definitely be back diving with Aqua soon!

We were so lucky to have Nina ( Catwoman) & Pedro, our dive instructors who made us feel so relaxed and confident. Always helpful with the dive kit and answered all our questions cheerfully. I will always remember the ‘burrito’ Nina!
Jessica was super helpful with booking great super quick communication through emails with information and helpful ideas.
The boat crew were fantastic- so helpful putting on our BCDs & giving us extra hand out of the water too.
Spectacular underwater Musa, soft corals, angelfish, barracuda, rays & a nurse shark🙌🏻. It was really beautiful 🤩.

Aqua Adventure Eco Divers offers more than just a typical dive shop experience. The staff treated me like family, ensuring my safety and providing serene, fun, and unforgettable diving experiences. Jason, in particular, was exceptional - he always made me laugh while paying close attention to gear and diver safety. Gustavo, Nina, and Pedro- the guides, were incredible. I am especially appreciative to Gustavo who was my instructor for AOW back in August. Through the AOW process, he supported me in building my confidence as a new diver while introducing me to ways to improve valuable skills. I am a more competent diver because of the education facilitated to me by Gustavo. Then there is Sharon Teter (owner), I can't possibly leave out the woman who started this all for me. I'm more than grateful for Sharon. She originally brought me to the island after I received many recommendations to look her up! She created a customized dive/stay package with airport pickup and transfers to the island; she made it so easy for me. Moreover, she convinced me to do my AOW and I am so glad I listened. Last but not least, on this trip, the dive shop proposed a photo session with their photographer Malek who created the most stunning underwater shots of me for a fair price. Recollections to last a lifetime. As a solo traveller- all of the aforementioned makes this dive shop a five-star review. I've been to Isla twice now and dived with Aqua Adventure Eco Divers both times - it truly feels like a home away from home.

My husband and I did the Discover SCUBA Dive with Danny, and we had a fantastic time! We felt completely supported and safe, and we got to see tons of cool fish, reefs, and underwater sculptures. All of the staff was friendly and they were easy to contact with questions via email prior to our visit. 100% recommend!

Incredible diving experience from start to finish with Aqua Adventures! Super easy from booking through the entire day of diving. Nina was so easy to work with and inspired a relaxed confidence that really put me at ease since I hadn't dived in a long time! Highest recommendation! I cannot recommend these guys enough!! They were fun, knowledgeable, helpful, and made everything super easy! I paid for a private guide because I have never dove off of a boat before. Gus was my guide and I am so thankful for him. He was so patient with me and helped me overcome my fear (I almost backed out and sat on the boat). The Sleeping Spark Cave and 2nd stop with several swim through a was AMAZING!!!! So beautiful.. I can’t believe I almost missed out — now, I can’t wait to go diving again!

Did my AOWD certification with Sebastian and it went as smooth as it gets. Easy booking, scheduling and payment, excellent tour and dive execution.

Tips for others:
- It's nature, so don't blame the company if you don't get to see everything you want or if the conditions are not in your favour. Be grateful for everything you see and have fun.
Edit: after our planned night dive had to be cancelled after the twilight dive due to bad weather, they gave me refund without me even asking them.
- Don't bring anything on the boat that shall not get wet or put it in a good wet bag!
- If you tend to get sea sick, make sure to use appropriate medication (Dramamine, you get it in every pharmacy here)
- In case you go snorkeling with them, make sure you get their own tour and not with a partner company! There, you might only get limited water time, bad treatment and get to see caged sharks. The snorkeling trip with their own group was perfect, though!
- Whale Shark experience: long clothing (!!!) to prevent sunburn! Or use sunscreen before (!) entering the boat, since sunscreen is prohibited in the whale shark area. If you get a good look can be pure luck. We had relatively rough waves and only 1 or 2 sharks for all boats together. Big circus around one spot, with 30 boats or so and 5-10 people in the water at a time (2 per boat max). Got only about 1 minute of water time, but it was definitely worth it! Heard from others with more luck that the experience can differ a lot, though.

Had a great day snorkeling and diving the MUSA Museum with Aqua Adventures!! The team made our experience smooth and worry free. I highly recommend them to anyone visiting Isla and seeking an excursion on the water!

I highly recommend this dive shop! The owners bought this place in August of 2020 and have been turning it into a world class program. Our group spent 2 days with them. We did a 2 tank dive with our friends that were certified, seeing an amazing shipwreck and dozens of turtles at punta sur. A few days later we did the whale shark trip where we swam with numerous whale sharks and manta rays. We had a lot of dolphins come up to the boat and ride the wake on the way back. I am so happy I got to check these epic adventures off my bucket list. Big thank you to Sharon and Paul for the trips and helping us find childcare! We'll be back!

We had a great diving experience here. The team was very professional end-to-end, starting with the booking process and answering many of our questions up front. On the day itself, we felt very safe and taken care of by Pedro and Nina. Thanks a lot!

We did 3 days of diving with them and had a great experience! They were relaxed but safety conscious, and gave special help to my wife for entries from the boat. Also set up our equipment for us. Highly recommended and I’d dive with them again without hesitation!

One of the most amazing experiences of my life! The crew is very professional, yet down to earth and friendly. Ownership is hand on and genuinely cares about you have an amazing experience. Safe, reliable, and environmentally conscious. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else, because this place cares.

Did several days of diving with this dive shop and was very impressed. Dive Masters Gustavo and Emanuel were amazing. They cheerfully set up our gear and guided us through three days of varied diving, from the easy MUSA underwater museum to the more challenging deep wrecks. We had a great time and felt very safe throughout. Highly recommended!!!

The crew at the dive centre were all amazing, we were a group of ten ladies and check in was smooth, Pedro provided awesome instruction and coaching on our first ever dive experience, once we had completed our class training and shallow water coaching we headed out to the underwater museum for our first dive. Both Pedro and Mario were supportive, calm and offered great direction to our slightly anxious group, with their support we experienced the beautiful fish/ray filled waters and came back stoked and smiling!! Would deffo recommend this team!!

During the 1st week of September 2021, I visited Aqua Adventures Eco Divers and completed 8 dives; underwater visibility was between 50-110 feet! The weather was partly cloudy with sporadic rain or clear skies, and the ocean water bottom temperature was approximately 83-84°F; perfect!!! The diving area is located within the Meso-American Barrier Reef system.
The time I spent with this dive shop diving was much better than I expected!!! Sharon was very nice, accommodating, and flexible scheduling my scuba dives and course even before I arrived. Paul & Marie (Instructors) made sure all the activities that I requested to do happened. I completed coral reef & drift dives, the RESCUE DIVER COURSE, and explored a shipwreck!!! I also saw an abundance of beautiful sealife!!! Boat Captains Marco and Jhair were nice. This shop even sent me some really good underwater pictures afterwards, for the dives I completed.
Paul was my English-Speaking Scuba Instructor, and he was proficient training me in becoming a Rescue Diver. I could not have had a better experience. It was a challenging course, but fun and fulfilling training there!!!

What a great crew and experience!

We had no idea what this experience would be like. My friends and I have always wanted to scuba and this was a great first introduction to it. Definitely have the itch to do more dives and go deeper!

Pedro and Gustavo were amazing at teaching and guiding us. Easy to work with and made us so comfortable in the water. The whole crew made us feel so comfortable and I can’t stress that enough on how much that helped our experience.

All I can say is this was an amazing experience and you’re in great hands when choosing this adventure. We look forward to the next one with this team! I promise you won’t regret choosing them.

Aqua adventures is a great place to book dives if your staying on Isla Mujeres. Dive team is very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer dives for all levels of experience, and to all the popular locations around Cancun. It was great getting the drift, and deep dives crossed off my list as I've found it hard to book those dives in the past. Hope to be back to finish my advanced open water certification.

We had a great time with this shop, working towards our advanced open water diver certification. All of the instructors were amazing, especially Pedro who made sure we were well taken care of. I definitely can’t wait to dive with them again in the near future!
