Hotel & Suites Bucaneros

The staff at Bucaneros were incredibly friendly and helpful. My girlfriend and I speak a little Spanish and we were able to have conversations with the front desk staff in both English and Spanish. They were very helpful and talkative and were able to suggest some places to eat nearby. The hotel is cozy and clean and is very well located and decently priced. I would stay here again in Isla Mujeres.

Room is a very small but we did not need much anyway because of spending most of the time out at the beach. Front desk worker Jesus provided excellent service. He is amazing and attentive. Hotel is clean and tidy with great AC in the room. It is perfectly located around all the bars and restaurants. I was a but worried about noise at night, but room was dead quiet which is definitely a bonus point.

We have been staying here off and on for 20 years. Lovely family-owned hotel with comfy beds, good sheets and towels and clean. Some rooms can be a little noisy if facing the street since it’s on the main pedestrian street and you must be able to walk up stairs if you don’t have a ground floor room.

I stayed as Hotel Bucaneros a family-owned hotel, during the height of Covid19 while visiting Isla Mujeres. I was given a complementary room upgrade upon arrival. The rooms were hell appointed with a very comfortable bed a hot shower and plenty of storage. the room also came with a small refrigerator and dishes and utensils if you want to self-cater.
Outside the hotel beach access and plenty of restaurants are within easy walking distance.
i would stay her again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

We had a very positive experience staying here. On multiple occasions the staff went above any expectations to help us out, including supporting us when we had sick children. If we return to the beautiful Isla Mujeres, we will return to this hotel. Thank you for everything!

We had a rough experience with car and hotel cancellations leading up to our trip to isla mujeres, and once we got to the Bucaneros we were greeted by Jesus, the most generous and kind person. He let us shower in the common bathroom and store our luggage because we arrived so early. He took care of us and will take care of you.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in 2 different rooms because the bigger one was just free for 3 nights.
Both of the accommodations were cozy, clean and we really felt like home there. The furniture and the decoration are made with love and the staff is very friendly.
The location is great - in between lots of restaurants, shops and a 3 minutes walk away from 2 of the beaches of Isla Mujeres. It's also just a 5 minutes walk away from the ferry terminal, what is great when you arrive with a lot of luggage.
The breakfast was delicious, a lot of healthy and organic stuff and for the ones who like it sweet, there is a great variety of cakes, muffins and donuts :)
We loved our stay here and enjoyed every minute :)

We had a very enjoyable experience at Hotel Bucaneros! The room was always very clean and we had fresh towels every day, the bathroom was also clean and well stocked, the included breakfast at the hotel was very inviting and yummy, and the overall attitude of people that worked at the hotel was very positive! The location of the hotel is very nice- just right on the main walking area. At night, we could hear some of the street noise from our room but it wasn't loud enough to keep us awake. We were on the third floor and our window faced north. I hope to be back to Isla Mujeres to visit Hotel Bucaneros in the future!

Small, family run hotel in the heart of Isla Mujeres. You can’t beat this location - it’s right on the main shopping street in town and a 5 minute walk to Playa Norte. Our room also had a balcony above that street - a bonus if you want to sit out and enjoy the atmosphere with a drink or cup of coffee. There are several excellent restaurants within 1000 feet. The restaurant in the hotel itself is quite good - I had a delicious fish filet for dinner and the total came to less then $9 US.

The rooms are small but very clean with fans and good working AC. Because this is a busy area you may hear some street noise, however with our fan and AC up it wasn’t a concern. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

Each morning we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (delicious fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, coffee, tea). You can checkout towels from the front desk to use at the beach. There is a deposit for this as well as if you want to use the safe in the room.

I would highly recommend if you’re someone who wants to be close to everything in a clean and comfortable hotel.

When I was in desperate search for a nice hotel I came across this little family owned business. Without Covid restrictions it might be loud due to the bars and restaurants and it’s prominent Location. However when I stayed everything closed at 2300 so my sleep was almost guaranteed (except for some rude and drunk other guests that sang and laughed horrible loud during one night at 0500 in front of my door.. but that’s nothing the hotel can prevent in a tourist location like this. Talking about the hotel itself I can say that it’s very clean and the first I noticed is the Good Covid-19 prevention and disinfection Job they do at this hotel. Also the rooms were very clean and they have special covers over sinks in the shower to avoid cockroaches coming through the pipes at night (which other hotels don’t do.. ) the receptions Jesus (who is operating this business together with his mother Hilda) speaks very well English and is the most friendly and funny person I’ve seen for quite a while. He and „the senora“ provided help with any thing I needed. Be it a transport to the airport or anything else. If I’m allowed to say. I already love that place and I will definitely come back in the future as I had the feeling to be a friend and not just a guest.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one complete week in August 2017 and our experience was fabulous. The hotel is owned by a family. The staff is very hospitable and accommodating. The room was clean and just right for our trip. The morning breakfast included a variety of choices to suit individual tastes. The hotel is situated 10 minutes from Playa Norte, the main beach in the area. Along the way, you will see a variety of artisanal shops and different types of restaurants. A convenience store is nearby as well as a supermarket in case you need anything. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Isla Mujeres.

The safest place. The sanitary mesures for Covid are being taken super seriously there. I'm a nurse and I was impressed. The personal is also doing a lot of extra miles to help you organize your stay.

Great hotel. Clean, good breakfast with fresh fruit. Small rooms, but that is expected in a small island. The AC worked great in our room.

Smack in the middle of town and walking distance to all shops
