Wow! There are no words to describe what an amazing experience I had while my friends and I were visiting Isla mujeres and staying at the world mark resort. Lionel provided top notch customer service - he was an excellent host & tour guide and we loved the Tuesday afternoon poolside music and margaritas! Martha was amazing and gave great recommendations for places to eat including setting us up for javi's cantina on fiesta night! Honestly, the best customer service where Lionel and the staff went the extra mile to ensure we had the best accommodations! Poolside massages with Patricia were awesome too! Muchas gracias!

Our first time visiting Mexico and my husband and I had a great experience! The resort was very clean, the rooms were comfy and it was very quiet and peaceful. The front desk employee , Alberto is one of the the reasons our stay was amazing! He was super attentive , helpful and sweet and we are so thankful! We will be back again!

Beautiful, small resort (26 rooms total). Right on the yacht harbor with an excellent view of the private boats coming into the harbor from the pool area. Quiet setting, mid-island.
Very easy to get around the island: walking is reasonable even to get to the north end of the island, bus transportation (best deal for one way longer transport, or daily pass) is very reasonable to get around as well. Taxis are plentiful. And, if you want to spend the money, golf cart and moped rentals are available on the north end of the island. Resort can also get you a golf cart delivered (was $1200MXN ($76USD) per day at time of our trip).
Great food right around the resort: Yayo ($) makes an excellent breakfast/lunch (try the chilaquiles), Rinconcito Kahlo ($-$$) is on the corner and everything we had (5 or 6 visits) was excellent (try the Quesabirillas, when available), Green Verde ($$) is just a slight bit more expensive but you pay a bit more for the ambiance (flan is incredible), if you want seafood try Varadero ($$$) (take the first left as you leave the resort, go down to the wall, turn right and go down past the big gate in the wall, painted past the gate on the wall is the name of the restaurant, walk into what looks like someone's backyard) and enjoy the view seated on a dock under a palapa roof right in the edge of the yacht basin entrance (entertainment (i.e. boats passing by) and a great meal, lobster available: you pick which one from the cage they pull up from the water), try Kash ($) for late cheap eats (meat empanada was delicious).
Lowest fees for ATM withdrawals was found at the Chedraui (grocery store). Four ATMs there for different banks. Green one (not HSBC, not BBVA) had the lowest fee ($22MXN, I believe). CIBanco on the north end was $58MXN, HSBC was $81.20MXN. Not sure which gives the best exchange rate though. CIBANCO was better than HSBC by a small margin at the time.

Very nice rooms. Staff was friendly. The pool was nice and it's very close to the Chedraui supermarket. Wifi not the best but the strong A/C was great.

This is a beautiful and relaxing place. The rooms are like little Mexican huts with patios, chairs and hammocks in front of each one. It is very clean and comfortable. There are many palm trees and flowers. The pool is large and there are many chairs with umbrellas and a swim up bar. You can rent golf carts for 1200 pesos for 24 hours. The staff is friendly and polite.

The rooms are nice and quiet, all facing and surrounding the pool. I like not having to worry about getting a spot around the big pool. They have plenty of seating, and then you have the pool bar. The drinks are a little costly. It's nice early morning to take a dip sit and relax. The pool is on the older side. A little up dating is needed. Close to local restaurants, the grocery, and 5 min drive to Playa Norte Beach.

A beautiful quiet and relaxing setting, yet close to all the amazing places to discover on Isla. All of the front desk staff are so genuinely welcoming and helpful. Need a golf cart, taxi, something for your room, they have one for you. The large pool and surrounding deck is a great place to unwind, food and bar service is available, and the music is not overwhelmingly loud.

We weren't sure what to expect for our week long stay here. Boy, we're we pleasantly surprised! The location is a little weird as you drive in, but once you're in the gate, it's heaven. The building are charming and as there are so few of them, they are very private. Even during spring break, we were often in the pool with less than 10 people...mostly adults. We loved how we could leave our screen door unlocked and meander across the grass to the gorgeous pool. The rooms are comfortable, though a little tired. Still, we weren't there for the room, so no biggie!

The thing that set this place apart was the staff!! No time share push, just stellar service. At the helm is an amazing woman named Marta. Her presence is what makes this place feel like home. Always asking if we needed anything, helping with a few room issues immediately, and literally becoming a new friend! I'd also like to give a nod to the men who "open the rope" as we came and went with our golf cart. Always a genuine greeting, and they, too, learned our names. If you go, please remember to tip them as they are not often compensated by the guests.

Definitely rent a golf cart, go to the Green Verde for drinks and food, Limon for a fancy dinner, Punta Sur for the water trail, and Norta beach for incredible, unforgettable water (go to the far end of the beach to escape the crowds). We spent a week on this island and never ran out of things to do!

We loved the place so much. It was really the perfect place in our honeymoon. I would really recommend it. It was so peaceful and very relaxing. Wide pool makes us feel more healthier for swimming, with perfect sunbathing bed chairs. Good choice of food in the pool bar and quiet affordable too. The manager
name "Martha" and "Geiser" the receptionist are both really a good person and very attentive to our needs. We'll come back here next time 🥰❣

I own timeshare here.
Of many places that I have stayed have to say what keeps me coming back is the service and friendliness not to mention the cleanliness of the small resort in this picturesque Lil Caribbean island. But the main thing is that you never have those high pressure timeshare sales people. You just come and relax, enjoy and explore the area. The staff is more than willing to help with anything that you may need. Super happy with this place. Highly recommended 👌

Possibly one of the best places I have ever stayed! The rooms are huge, high ceilings, clean, cozy, romantic. Everything was absolutely beautiful. But what made this place so incredible was the staff! Alex at front desk gave the best customer service I've ever experienced! The bar tender was incredible. Cleaning service was incredible. Even maintenance was incredible! First night we had cold water in the shower, next day it was fixed. The private "hot tub" is actually a mini pool. That was the one down side.
I really loved my stay here and couldn't thank the staff enough!

Relaxing and quiet resort. Clean, spacious room with plenty of room to make yourself comfortable for an extended stay. Bed was nice, clean, and comfortable. The pool was the highlight of the property, we spent multiple afternoons in the warm water, with a swim up bar it was perfect for relaxing and meeting fellow guests. The resort also offers some spa services, the massage was great and very well done. The only "downside" is that it is a bit away from the town area with all the shops and restaurants, and there is no beach access at the resort.

David and Ernesto speak great English. Book tours with them and get golf cart $60 day. Rooms are more studio based and have a hammock out front of most. Pool is beautiful. Marina runs pool and bar area with good drinks. Not sure if massage anymore.

This is a beautiful place with an amazing staff. The one bedroom deluxe is fantastic! Its much more laid back than other Worldmark hotels with no timeshare sales pitch! It's not the best location on the island but being on the marina has some perks. Also, there are some outstanding restaurants within walking distance.

Had a great stay here! Staff was so friendly and would drop everything to help you if you asked for something. No daily maid service unless you ask for it! Bar staff friendly and affordable drink prices, it is jointly owned by yacht club and Worldmark. Would stay here again! Security on premises is the best on the island, the gate guards even knew us by name!

Super friendly staff, very comfortable units on 2 1/2 levels. No elevator so request ground level if needed. On site restaurant- huge pool, no hot tub - pool isn’t heated, but refreshing when weather is hot. Swim-up bar and English/Spanish speaking bar tender and wait staff. This resort is part of the yacht club, so many huge boats along inlet docks along resort. Studio hotel units have lovely outdoor patio with table, chairs and hammock, only a small fridge and coffee maker, no microwave or kitchen. Larger units have kitchen area and largest units have personal hot tubs on patio. They provide a refillable gallon jug of water in each unit. Need a tour, transport, sunset cruise? speak with Ernesto- he is informative, fun and not pushy.
The resort has free bike use and rent golf carts for $60 for 24 hrs. We found it easier to walk or take a taxi for about $60 pesos anyplace on the island.
Don’t miss visiting Pt. Sir at the southern tip of the island! It is a sacred Mayan temple area and old pirate enclave. Hike down the art path to the water for the chance to see crystal clear water and huge iguanas.
2 Blocks south of the resort is a Supermarket with a fresh bakery and all groceries, clothing, swim/snorkel gear you need! Also an ATM for those needed pesos!
This resort is in the best area of the island for a relaxing stay, quiet, affordable and a short taxi to the crazy, expensive and touristy north side of the island

Nice secluded resort that's shared with the yacht club. Not beach front but about a 10 minute drive to the beach. Great staff, attentive, and security around the clock.
Doesn't have a kitchen or microwave, but it does have a coffee maker and a small refrigerator with separate ice bucket.

I am giving the resort a 5 star rating because they did a wonderful job accommadating our family of 10. The resort is very clean and the staff is wonderful and very friendly. Worldmark only owns the resort (rooms). They do not own the swimming pool/bar, restaurant, gym, or tennis courts. We reserved 4 rooms. We stayed in studio rooms 1201, 1204, 1205, 1411, 1406 and 1401 (more of this later..hence we reserved 4 rooms ;).

Rooms:
Rooms were clean with amazing AC. Very spacious studios.
1201 was on the corner between office and pool. We had foot traffic but the resort was small so not too much traffic. Great room, hot water, small refrigerator. We hung out on our little patio every night. Lots of cats to pet;)
1205 was a few rooms down, same great features, by a walk way to leave the resort.
1411 is on the other side and on second floor. You share a balcony with your neighbor, no outside chairs or hammock.
1204 was very nice for 1 day. A rat died some where in the room. Housekeeping tried to accommodate with bleach and febreeze. However, it took days to recover so our family had to move to 1406.
1406 was on first floor with double beds (studio). I don't believe this room is utilized often as it was very very musty. However, manageable. Room 1401 opened and they moved into for the last 3 days.
1401 is on the first floor. The toilet was broken and there was no hot water. We fixed the toilet with a zip tie and maintenance fixed the hot water.
*Tips: if you are asleep and someone leaves and locks your door from the outside, you are locked in. No way out.
You cannot call the front desk from the room phones.
You can call other rooms and security (they do not speak english).

PROs:
Walking distance to 2 great little restaurants. Green Verde had a wonderful breakfast option for folks needing a little extra healthy food. Omelette choices and if you dont want to an omelette, you can turn it into a burrito. Sesolocos is a little restuarant across form the "Six" (gas station). Wonderful service with lots of mexican, american choices. Both are cash only.
Pool is very clean, warm and large. The swim up bar is one of the best we have experienced with worldmark mexico. Alejandro and Ricardo are fun and very friendly. They will take music requests as well. Small resort so we felt like we had it to ourselves.

We rented golf carts from the resort for 60 dollars a day or 1100 pesos. Cash only. Very convenient to have the carts at our disposal and you need them to tour the island and to get to the store ( Chedarui). You need to reserve 24 hours in advance. Check the gas tank under the front seat to ensure you have enough gas.

Cons:
Resort is owned by 3 companies. Cash only for amenities so you cannot put a credit card on file and charge to your room.
Unless you only drink beer, drinks cost the same as the US. Happy hour is buy 2, get 3rd free. I didnt feel there was much alcohol in the drinks either. We went to the store and stocked up on drinks.
The bar closes early, before HH (3-5) ends.
Restaurant is cash only and closed during off season. You can order food as the kitchen is still open.
The resort is not in the best location so you will need transportation.
ATM works sometimes and only gives US cash. You do not get the same peso exchange rate in mexico. So it is cheaper to pay in pesos. Go to your bank and get pesos before you travel.
You can get any where on the island via cab (5 dollar max).

Isla is wonderful. We will be back. Even if my nephew decided to pet a Boa constrictor on the property (u are by the harbor so this is not the resorts fault nor is it their fault that a 23 year old felt this was a good idea). 6 US dollars later, he got his 5 wounds cleaned and back to vacationing.

Have a great time and thank you WorldMark.

Beautiful relaxing place located at a yacht club. Get to know the fabulous concierge, Ernesto. He will help you plan great tours at a fraction of the price of other tour places.Huge pool with swim up bar, super friendly staff makes this place perfect for couples or families.
