Isla Mujeres Tours (Cooperativa)

Cooperativa Isla Mujeres is excellent! We booked a whale shark tour for seven for our recent trip to the island. Booking was easy, payment was easy, the price was reasonable, and the experience was wonderful. Our guides were very professional but we felt like they were also having fun, which made the experience that much better. They clearly know what they are doing - they set and managed our expectations, they have safety rules and followed the law to ensure our safety as well as that of the wildlife, and they did a lot to make sure that we were comfortable and had fun. Our guides were so personable and we spoke easily with them about the animals, their experience, and Mexico in general. I definitely recommend Cooperative Isla Mujeres for this tour and I assume all their other tours are just as good. My entire party agreed that we would book with them next time around.

For those who are interested in the details: the guides picked us up at our hotel pier and took us to the whale shark location, which was about 20 miles away. We swam in pairs with a guide who made sure to point us in the right direction so that we would have the best interaction with the animals. We had a waterproof camera and our guide took pictures of us and the animals, which allowed us to enjoy the moment and not worry about taking pictures. While on the boat waiting our turn to swim, there was plenty to see and the other guides pointed out animals and answered our questions. Sandwiches and soft drinks were available to us at all times. After several turns swimming with the whale sharks, the guides took us to another location to swim and snorkel while they prepared a light lunch of delicious, delicious ceviche and guacamole, then served it to us while we were in the water. After that, they dropped us back at the hotel pier.

We found these guys on the beach next to the ferry opposite Oxxo wearing white shirts. We wanted to see sailfish and snorkel with them. They offer trips for very reasonable prices, and they just don't stop searching until they made this happen. Was absolutely spectacular! After we saw what we were looking for we returned, spent an hour at playa norte eating freshly made ceviche before heading back to the harbour. Awesome day, highly recommended!

These folks were friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond! Very reasonable price for a beautiful day on the ocean, a once in a lifetime experience with whale sharks, and fresh made ceviche and guacamole while we swam in the shallows of Playa Centro. Worth every penny and more! I would only go with these guys.

Great day accommodating guides. We had 5 kids age 11-5 & they had so much fun as did the adults.

Met een bootje voeren ze je naar de plekken in zee waar veel vissen zijn. Een ervaren gids duikt mee in het water. Heerlijk om zo te snorkelen. De opwinding van het zwemmen tussen de vissen. Lokale vismaaltijd inbegrepen. Zijn een soort van lokale taxi's op zee. Kostte 400 pesos per persoon. Doet het 's morgens vroeg, overdag was er een massa volk.
