Wing Diving Isla Mujeres

It’s a very unique experience and we saw some beautiful water and sea life. Thank you Emma! While safe, it’s for more confident swimmers. But definitely something you should try! You can stay closer to the top of the surface if you want like higher speed snorkeling, or you can easily angle the wings to dive down near to the bottom if you want.

So cool and unique! One of the only places in the world to wing dive. My whole family did this (ages 18 to 65) and we all loved it. You can be as adventurous as you want with it, diving down 20+ feet into the ocean, or staying on the surface of the water. The water was crystal clear, and we got to see multiple sting rays swimming below us on the ocean floor. Would highly recommend!

Emma and her team made this experience unforgettable. Wing diving is an absolute MUST DO in Isla Mujeres. To do this in the crystal clear waters of isla makes extra fun. We saw some mantarays and a turtle during wingdiving. Emma explained on shore everything very well so once in the water it was pretty easy and we felt very safe. I felt like an dolphin the entire time. Still watching our wingdive after movie once a month.
Wingdiving is for young and old and is definitely something i'll do again once I return to isla Mujeres.

My wife and I are pretty adventurous. We've done all the standard stuff like skydiving, rock climbing, scuba diving, rafting, via ferrata, etc. After Wing Diving with these folks my wife exclaimed "That's the best thing we've ever done!" Her excitement was warranted. It IS an absolute blast. Great operators, fun people, just an amazing, unique experience. Don't think about it... do it.

wing diving is my new favorite thing to do!! my husband and I had the opportunity to try it out this past week for the first time and loved every minute of it so much that we went back for a second round before our trip was over! it was so easy to learn, mostly because of the staff that was there with you every step of the way! they are all so sweet and I promise that we will be doing this again when we come back!!!

Emma is absolutely amazing, she made sure everyone felt comfortable, creating a fun and safe environment to try a unique activity. Fast learning curve so in just a few minutes you are able to do all kinds of fun tricks

This is definitely a 5 star adventure...we had a blast Wing Diving with Kye and Emma. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Isla Mujeres and we'd do this again.

The 3 star rating is because I prepaid for a photo AND video package for our son's 18th birthday. So far we've only received the photos which are fantastic. I've emailed Emma several times and haven't gotten a response about the video.

I would change the rating if there is communication or better yet a video.

We booked a snorkeling trip through Wing Diving .The initial communication was great. Once booked we were instructed to go to another company as the meeting location. They then walked us to the location of the boat and met the boat captain. He asked us to wait for 20 mins, which we did and then a another captain told us to get on another boat. By this time it seemed we had been passed onto another tour operator who had space on their boat.

Once onboard there was little information given on the trip. The first reef was great fun with lots of fish. We then went via the dolphin adventure centre (which was quite sad to see as it didn't look fair on the dolphins, but I'm no expert). Onto the next snorkeling site the boat kept cutting out. We then arrived at the underwater museum, the waves and swell were quite intense (for anyone who is not a confident swimmer). Not a great experience as there was not a lot to see because of the sea conditions. Back on the boat we were then dropped off at a jetty and told to wait at a restaurant, while the captain and guide disappeared. After speaking to other people on the trip they told us it was a snorkeling, restaurant, beach club and sunset tour. This is not what we had booked, we had just booked a snorkeling trip with Wing Diving.

We where then stuck at a beach restaurant, 3 miles from our accommodation, no idea what was going on and when we would get back. We waited for the guide to return for 20 mins but they did not return. We decided to cut our losses and get a taxi back to our accommodation at our own expense.

Having messaged the Wing Diving tour operator when we returned they did admit they forgot to tell us it was a snorkeling and restaurant trip, even though it didn't mention this on the information about the trip. They did apologise for the inconvenience.

Overall a very poor experience of being passed around tour operators and not a great experience on the boat!

We didn't do the wing diving, so it would be unfair to make any judgement on it as I'm sure it is a great experience!
