This place truly is magical. Bernice and Edgardo were great. The property itself is spectular. From the pool area, the rooms being cabana style, and the spa and open spaces are phenomenal. I received a Bougainvillea fused water, a Mezcal welcome drink at dinner and coffee served inside a box before breakfast. The small details of this place elevate the experience. Their spa is also the most relaxing. Can't say enough nice things about this place just that everyone should visit at least once.

We couldn’t fault our time here. The food was lovely with a brilliant breakfast. The rooms were immaculate and the service was flawless. It felt very peaceful and we could always get a lovely spot by the pool. 20 minute walk into town with some great bars and restaurants too!

This hotel was amazing. I was able to book it for a very affordable price and was't expecting much, but as soon as I entered the very secure gate I was blown away by the beauty of this property. The pool with its breathtaking view was my personal favorite. Also the very private room was much nicer than it looked on the pictures.
We also had the opportunity to visit free yoga and meditation classes which we realy enjoyed. And the staff was always helpful and kind.
The only thing I regraded was booking ONLY one night.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amomoxtli in Tepoztlan, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The combination of great food and impeccable service made for a truly memorable evening.

The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The decor was tastefully done, creating a comfortable and relaxed setting for the meal.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions we had.

Overall, I cannot recommend Amomoxtli enough. It is a hidden gem in Tepoztlan that deserves all the praise it receives. Amazing views. Good rooms. Awesome amenities! Very unique experiences offered like an energy cleanse. Which consisted of us sitting in a small hut for an hour as the guide water steamed the hut with a pile of hot rocks and water(so cool). It’s a bit of a trek to get there. The roads to get to Amomoxtli are very “underdeveloped” VERY bumpy for the last 10 to 15 minutes . Totally worth it for the relaxation!

Amazing pool and view of the surrounding mountains. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very modern and spacious.

Beautiful wedding venue! I recently photographed an elopement here, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The hotel itself is a stunning property, with a mix of traditional Mexican architecture and modern amenities. The outdoor spaces are particularly lovely, with lush gardens and stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and the vibes are great - very calm and inspiring.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and accommodating to any needs, and together with the wedding planner they went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly.
The rooms are perfect for “Getting ready”, the gardens are gorgeous for sessions…and the cherry on top is the breathtaking view of the mountains for the ceremony on the terrace!

To me, Amomoxtli is an awesome venue for intimate weddings or elopements. I would highly recommend it to couples looking to get married in Tepoztlan. The combination of natural beauty, excellent service, and great facilities make it the perfect setting.

Aside from weddings, it's a perfect getaway place. I'd love to come back here soon, for an event or just by myself to disconnect from everything for some days :)

Without a doubt the grounds and scenery are on a magical level. Amomoxtli is surrounded by mountains, tropical flowers, fish ponds and green trees. What sets Amomoxtli apart from all the other hotels is the staff! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Zyanya Gonzalez, and given a tour of the grounds. We arrived at the crack of dawn and Zyanya was able to accommodate us with a beautiful and secluded cottage. The entire staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant staff was flexible, the people attending the pool were attentive and the reception area always had a smiling face ready to assist me. Everyone was cordial and down to earth.

All respect for the General Manager Maritere Zaballa who does an amazing job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

A dreamy pefect place to relax. The landscape that surrounds the hotel is braeathtaking, and the gardens, pool and spa are just to die for - I spent almost all my stay at the pool and it was very enjoyable. The staff is super friendly and attentive, you’ll have everything you need. Btw, the best sleeps EVER because the bed and pillows are super comfortable. When it comes to the food, it amazed me too - honestly, hotel food is never that good, but oh my god the food at Amomoxtli was EXQUISITE, from traditional itacates oe chilaquiles to simple fries… they just know how to make stuff and how to do it on point. I’ll be back soon.

Perfect place for a couples getaway from CDMX for a day or two. The pool area is stunning and relaxing. The hotel property is full of lush greenery. The food was delicious and breakfast was included. We enjoyed how private the experience was and politeness of other guests. The wifi worked great!

Make sure to book one of the renovated rooms. We preferred to stay on the property vs. venturing into the town. One thing worth noting is hearing mild sounds like music and dogs barking from your at night.

Visited for an on-site wedding. Great rooms, service, and overall experience.

The spa is amazing, the views are incredible. Highly recommend the massages, lovely rooms and the breakfast is wonderful.

Great spot in Tepoztlan. It's less than 2 hours away from Mexico City. The whole town is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Food was great everywhere. Definitely a great spot to spend a weekend

Awesome, magical and beautiful place to rest, unwind and get pampered. It has a stunning view on the Tepozteco mountains. It has a fantastic garden and a swimming pool area. Great service, great food and drinks.
The only downside was it was advertised at $150 a night but I ended up paying double that, with some ‘premium room’ upgrade and all the taxes. The room was ok, not very premium, imho.
But the place is definitely an outlier. Worth visiting.

One of my favorite places on Earth! Reminds me my beloved Toscana somehow. Beautiful place, amazing people.

A paradise, completly different at Tepoztlan, relaxation, and felling at home its the idea, maybe the best thing are the rooms, the food and for shure the swimming pool. The yoga lessons are great. The gardens are amazing and everything its quiet! Enjoy with youre partner! Great place!

My wife and I had an extraordinary stay at Amomoxtli. The beauty of the property, the landscape, the rooms, the food, the spa and the service is unparalleled to any hotel I have ever stayed in Mexico. Here are some some experiences and memories:

• Do yoga under the shade of a large jacaranda while stearing at the largest bugambilia hung from a eucalyptus tree, with Tepozteco range in the background.
• You get greeted with a fresh drink local muitle plant water. It's a green leaf that when brewed, turns into the most intense pink-purple water. It has restorative properties and its good for the circulations.
• 80% of the food ingredients are local and organic. The recipes are very unique celebrating the best of Mexico and its traditions.
• You get a shamanic cleanse ritual with local herbs and the sound of the shaman blowing the conc shell.
• Enjoy the view of the Tepozteco mountain range while relaxing in the most sophisticated and sexiest pool and hot tubs in Tepoztlan
• Endemic landscape filled with limes, oranges groves, avocados, muitle, and bugambilia trees
• Enjoy a fresh brewed pot of coffee, fruit and pastries before breakfast every day
• Smell the copal insense
• Walk 10 minutes and be at 1,200 year old Aztec and colonial town. You and climb to to the top of the Tepozteco and see ancient pyramid with the view of the valley and the town
• Stroll around the cobblestones, bugambilia lined street around the property
• Enjoy the quietness of nature
• Be on Mexican time

I would highly recommend going there. We will definitely be back.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in Tepoztlan. The grounds are extremely nice and the service is top notch. Don’t miss the restaurant they have great local dishes.

Pricey but worth it, great pool chill vibe, spa and feel the outdoors. Enjoyable restaurant
