Hotel Casona Oaxaca

This boutique hotel was outstanding. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early. The lobby bar offered fantastic cocktails, and the location was perfect, just a short walk from local dining and activities. The room was incredibly comfortable, and I will certainly return for another stay.

Extremely happy with my stay here. Stayed here for 4 nights. Apart from the bed being creaky I'm still giving them 5 stars. Very conveniently located. Food was right around the corner. Reception staff was so courteous and helpful!

Over the years, this hotel has turned into my go to. The breakfast selection is medium, but very tasty. The staff are extremely friendly and honest- I've never had anything stolen or damaged here, and I've left some valuable things out in the open by accident. Any complaint I've ever had with the rooms is quickly answered. The shower's water can be piping hot or ice cold- you choose. The rooms are very clean and spacious. My only remaining problem is the internet speed- something most if not all hotels in that specific area struggle with. Even then, the internet is not as bad as some others close to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, for couples, single clients and even families of all ages.

Rooms are very nice. Outside rooms do have a little more road noise but probably would only bother light sleepers who head to bed before before 8:30 or 9:00PM. I have an outside facing room and slept like a log last night. No menu for breakfast. I believe breakfast is extra. There were three hot Mexican food items for breakfast. All very good, as well as serial, juices, fruits and some other items missed. Eli works at night (at least in March of 2019) and speaks excellent English as well as many others. I avoided the water in the sink in the bathroom but did drink the water always available in the dinning area. I was told it was OK to drink and so far, so good! :) The only warning I have, which is not a star dropper, is that the switch by my room door also turned off the outlets between the beds. It you plan to charge items while you are sleeping, leave this switch on.

Great place to stay. One block from Zocalo and few minute walk from many other interesting places. Francisco and the rest were fantastic. The tour companies they work with were reasonably priced and fun. Get the breakfast there at least once. It was home style.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. We couldn't use our reservation two years ago (due to the pandemic) but the hotel honored our booking at no additional cost ... VERY much appreciated.

Very clean, perfect location just a few steps from the zocalo( central square ). Very friendly and helpful staff. Guadalupe and Jafet were very attentive to all my requests. Excellent breakfast to start the day. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet.

My room is the perfect size, nice shower with hot water, great bed, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are great shops and restaurants nearby, plus tons of street vendors.
